Text

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : Miss Reede?

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : Dr. Glass! What can I do for you?

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : I was just touching base with you regarding Byron's birthday party.

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : Ah yes! I know you were thinking of a formal affair with an open bar? How is that coming along?

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : Splendidly. Tobin is going to allow us to have it on his boat and we're going to go out on the water for it.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : A little background...I love surprises. And I put in great effort to surprise him, so it'll be before his birthday. I'm thinking sometime at the end of the month/first of the month instead of on the 22nd of August.

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : That would definitely surprise him I think. And you're speaking my language - I'm quite attached to the sea. A sunset cruise then? How large is the guest list?

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : My hope was to get all his friends invited. I've slowly been meeting them, and Tobin said that he'd help invite others as well. I don't imagine more than a 100 though, even with plus ones and the stowaways that will undoubtably happen.

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : I think that's great! Will Tobin's vessel be able to accommodate that many people? Have you had a chance to meet Byron's old friends since you arrived? He mentioned that you surprised him with your move here.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : I've met Tobin, and seen some old photos of others but haven't been able to meet them yet. You're the only other old friend I've gotten to meet personally. And from what I understand the boat should be large enough.

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : That sounds good and I hope you get to meet their acquaintance soon. Byron was relatively popular in our high school, he moved between groups easily and he was a natural networker even back then. He can easily fill a boat with 100 or so attendees.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : I'm sure he can. He's always been very people oriented from what I gather, not just blossoming in college like some people did.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : Were you wanting to know something about presents?

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : Oh, yes! Any rules on those? A cap on how much we should be spending? Truthfully he and I lost touch for over a decade, so I'm not sure anymore whether he gets uneasy when someone spends on him over a certain amount.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : Have you seen his car?

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : ::laugh emoji:: I haven't actually! He's told me what it is, I gave my approval.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : My car isn't even that expensive. So I'd say he should be fine.

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : Sounds good. Not that I intend to spend an exorbitant amount. I'm afraid Academia doesn't pay that well.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : No, not until tenure I believe....or you've number of published works.

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : That'll hopefully be soon. Publishing, anyway. It sounds like you and Tobin have things well in hand but if there's anything I can help with, please don't hesitate to ask.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : Just show up, invite anyone else you know is a friend. Just in case I miss meeting them, I don't want anyone to feel they weren't invited.

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : Will do. Thank you for reaching out, Dr. Glass.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : Of course. We also need to get together for you to ask me about forensic psychiatry it seems.

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : Soon, whenever your undoubtedly busy schedule allows.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : It really isn't as busy as you think.

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : Still in the process of building your practice here?

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : I am. I've got a few patients so far, but quite a bit of free time.

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : We should have coffee soon, then. From what I understood, your move here was fairly recent...the fact that you have patients already is good.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : I could potentially do tomorrow?

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : I can do tomorrow. Let's do it. Or tea? I believe I can still make a decent afternoon tea. Would you like to stop by the boat? Gray Harbor is at its most beautiful over the summer and the bay is gorgeous in the afternoon. Bring sunscreen or a swimsuit if you'd like, I know the cove very well, if nobody has showed you the coast yet.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : Nobody has showed me the coast yet. That'd be wonderful. I can be there around noon?

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : Perfect. I'll see you then. My family's houseboat is called the Surprise, on dock 47. It's a far cry from a yacht, but my father has spent a lot of time and hours renovating, refurbishing and modernizing it over the years.

(TXT to Isabella) Vivian : I look forward to it.

(TXT to Vivian) Isabella : So am I. I'll see you then.
