Clad in a loose white button down blouse and a pair of denim jeans, Zoiya looks like she just woke up and is fresh faced and chipper. She is speaking to someone as she shoulders the door open. "So you don't look like you got the shit beat out of you, that's good. Where did you disappear to?" She finds the booth they had breakfast in the first night they met, taking a seat before she pulls her phone out of her purse. "Breakfast is on me, let's not turn it into a food fight and then actual fist fight, eh?"

Blake comes in after Zoiya, offering her a quick grin for shouldering the door. "Nope. Just went to go see what that aggro guy was all about. He seems to know you." He speaks nonchalantly as he moves to go just claim them a booth, snagging some menus along the way. "Javier. And that you're a real nice girl. And deal. It's a truce, for the sake of our food. Have you tried to go back to our last joint?" he wonders to his partner in crime with one of his patented smiles.

"He does know me, I met him in Seattle." Mae sets her phone on the table, her purse next to her and snags a menu from Blake. "Hey, Boyfriend. I am a real nice girl, haven't you noticed?" She rolls her eyes and scans the breakfast choices. "Nah, I haven't been back to the waffle place, I don't wanna get bodyslammed by Bull the waitress." She tilts a look up at Blake and smirks, glancing around to make sure they're alone. "Javier did me a favor, so my opinion of him differs a little bit." A beat. "What are you getting?"

Mae's response earns another grin, lopsided, with a touch of irony in his look. "Uh huh." He doesn't seem invested. In fact, he was already looking at the bear facts. He glances up to Mae and his eyebrows arch slightly at Zoiya's paranoia, though it may be justified. He doesn't press. "I was thinking a big fucking fat breakfast burrito. The kind that comas you?" He looks back down at the facts again and shakes his head. "Never got why he's so obsessed with these..." he murmurs.

"Probably because they're funny, punny and he doesn't take life as seriously? I mean, they're bear facts. You should be thankful for them, it's how we met." Mae tosses her menu on the table, leaning back to fold her arms over her chest. "I think we'll just get two burritos and orange juice, if the server ever comes around." She glances around and lo and behold it's the same waitress as their first date. "Great, this shit again?" She raises her voice slightly. "Honey we know what we want, save yourself some time with coming over here, bring us two breakfast burritos and I want an orange juice. He'll have one too, he needs the fucking vitamin C."

"Right." Blake slouches back in his seat as he puts his menu down, sliding his hands into his jacket pockets and looking across the table to Mae, trying to read her. "This shit again," he confirms before even looking to see who the waitress is. Once the order is in, Blake nods to their waitress and then looks back to Mae. "You don't want to eat with me do you," which seems to imply who she'd /rather/ be eating with. "Even after all the fun we had last time?" Never mind what happened after.

Mae glances up at Blake, her expression mild. "I asked you out to breakfast, and I know .." She gestures to him in all of his glory, sitting there with his hands in his pockets. "..who you were when I asked you." She picks up the silverware, unwraps it and shrugs. "So go or stay, but I wasn't lying earlier when I said you were welcome." She tilts her head to the side, looking out the window, her voice quiet. "I hypothesize that you do.. this, when things get too hard to handle. I don't know specifics, so I'm not going to force things... tonight." She smirks at the fun comment, pointing a manicured nail in his direction. "Don't get me kicked out of here, asshole." The waitress approaches with the orange juice, rolling her eyes when she catches sight of both of them.

"Oh I'm not going anywhere." When Mae looks out the window, Blake just watches her and how she looks upon things. His words have some serious meaning, but he says it in a way that's somewhere in between in that uneasy ground he inhabits so well, with such ease, as if him and himself live on two inverted planes of existence. He says nothing of whether he does...well anything. This /is/ the man who came to politely support his roommate. He lifts a hand as if Zoiya had a bb gun. "I wouldn't take this away from you. Bear facts and all." He flashes a small smile and his gaze flickers over to the incoming waitress. "Thank you," he offers the woman with a sweet grin on her approach.

"Figured as much." Mae responds, not giving the waitress the time of day, she picks up her orange juice and slides a straw inside. "Don't be patronizing." She mutters, sipping from her glass before she picks up her phone. The waitress looks a little taken aback at Blake, offering him an uncertain smile before she retreats back to pick up their food. "So what can we do to keep things from becoming violent at the house, because .. I think Lex wants to cut you. She'll feel bad later if she actually does it, and I think the house has seen more than enough of blood and violence." She taps a second straw on the table, pulling it from its paper to put it into Blake's glass.

Blake frowns and sits up a little at Mae's response. "I'm not," he says firmly, his focus never leaving Mae after he's greeted the waitress. "I haven't done anything to anyone there. She's just...hostile." He scoffs at the comment about the house and how much blood and violence it has seen. "She's not going to be happy until I never see the light of day again." After she bestows the straw upon his beverage, he sighs, "I mean I guess I can just go somewhere else till it's all how everyone wants it again."

"I don't come here for the bear facts, I come for the food." Mae sighs and she leans back in her seat, their burritos should be out shortly and she should wait, but she doesn't. "People are used to him being a certain way, when he's not, people worry." She fights the urge to roll her eyes at his statement, she doesn't know if it's true or not, so she just keeps quiet for a few moments. She presses her lips together, gazes back toward the window. "Cats out of the bag now, Boyfriend. It's forward and upward or shit is just gonna recycle itself. I'm not gonna live in a house where everyone is on tenterhooks trying to figure out when the next powder keg is gonna blow. So.." She gestures to him, a come hither gesture of sorts. "Ideas, instead of running."

"That's not what I meant. You met here. I wouldn't take that away..." Blake reaches for his drink and takes a sip. "They've got nothing to worry about. He needs me." Sure enough, the burritos come out. It's...timely? How is that? "Thanks," he offers the waitress again, flashing those baby blue eyes, well nearly baby blue. The waitress stares back for a half a moment, skepticism in her eyes. Then she retreats. "I'm not talking about running. I just mean, you know, if I'm here, I'm not there. Let him have the house and you guys."

"You can't take that away, it is what it is. I get it though, thanks. I do appreciate it." Mae takes a deep breath, sighing out her exhale as she picks up her glass. "I don't know if they see it that way, so whatever happened between you and Lex, you gotta do something about it. I don't want her blowing up the furniture, you know?" She watches Blake attempt to charm the waitress, smirking when it doesn't quite hit the mark. "I don't think.." She purses her lips, sips from her glass and considers before she continues. "..I don't think that you just pop out for shits and giggles. You do what you need to do, but just keep him safe, alright? I'm kind of fond of him."

Blake nods and reaches for his knife, realizing now the flaw in his appetite. He'll just..sit here and saw at the burrito to get a bite. "I have some ideas." Though he leaves it at that. He switches over to his fork, stabbing at the bite to pop it into his mouth. "I need him too. You don't need to worry about that. I know how to take care of him and things."

"All right Boyfriend, I'm gonna trust you. I hope you don't make me regret it." Mae picks up her burrito and takes a bite, not needing to resort to a knife and fork to consume it. "Well take care of this. Yeah?" She sets down the burrito and takes another drink of her juice.
