Step one: Get Shauna out. Check. Step 2: Invite her over. Check. Step three: Meet her. Ongoing. So far things are going his way as Ryan has found himself a room to meet Shauna. Giving her a room number, but sitting hidden outside while waiting for her to arrive. The autumn making it easier tonblend in using clothing and people coming and going. For now looking around and relaxing on the semi hidden bench.
An OR bond of all things and now she was out. God damnit. At least inside Shauna had a place to live and get food. To hide out that was somewhat safe. Her vehicle, her current house, was in impound and she had no money to get it out. So when the secretary had given her an address to arrive, she was leery as all hell. Had Jordan found her already? Coming here from Seattle she'd thought was a smart move. Not if he had found her. It was better to know what she was up against. Wearing exactly what she'd been wearing the day she went to jail, her combat style boots make no sound as she walks in silence. The vest top leaves plenty of skin exposed, front and back. Her camo pants ride low on her hips showing off her lower back tattoo. Slut Tag is what Jordan called it. She still didn't give a fuck.
Making her way towards the hotel she doesn't see anyone seated anywhere. She figures it was Jordan and he was waiting inside for her.
Ryan waits for her to reach the room, about to knock, before showing up behind her keeping some distance. "Hello Shauna." A hint of irish in his voice, perhaps s bit more added to make it easier for her. Hands in hos pockets. Only the tiniest of hints of a smile. "What have you done?"
A very familiar voice. As familiar as her own. Definitely not Jordan but not one she was welcoming at the moment. Shauna stiffens and turns to face him. "I suppose you're to blame for getting me out?"
Ryan does smirk. "I did." Standing for a long moment before gripping her wrists and pulling her in for a hug. "Stop being an ass" He tells her before releasing her. Moving to open the door. "Come in and tell me." He says to herm Less a request and more directing her. "
Shauna gives him a stiff hug but only because he demanded it. He smelled of home, wide open fields, thick green grass, adventure. She steps away and watches him with hooded eyes. Eyeing the door she realizes there was very few options so she steps inside once it's open. "Hey, the shrinks will say I'm a product of my upbringing. I'm a fucking statistic. Beat that!" Mouthy punk? Yes. "What else is there to know?"
Ryan frowns a bit at her words. "That it?" He asks as he opens so they can go inside. "Everything at home sucked, so you ran off?" He asks. "Why have you come here and stopped replying? I had to track you down." Sighing before letting his voice sound less stern, closing the door. "You do you keep trying to get me to worry?" A bit sad eyes as he watches her.
"I left home three years ago. Yeah I let you all know I was fine. Words are words. I got tired of lying. To my family. To Jordan. Especially to myself. I got the fuck out and ended up here. I was doing alright, working on getting clean so I could pass a drug test and get a legit job. I can mechanic or something. I can fight. Whatever I gotta do to survive. Got pulled over and I wasn't in the mood for it so I got resisting arrest. You know I didn't call you because I knew the parents would send you. And now look at yourself. Just as predicted. Bailing me out. Why did you come?"
Ryan listens and nods. Looking angry about Jordan, moving towards her. "Because you're my sister and I thought you were fucking dead." He tells her, touching her cheek. "I can take you home, or I'll stay here with you. Not leaving without you." He tells her. His baby sister after all. Upset but also worried.
He moves towards her and Shauna just looks scared. Especially when he lifts his hand. She closes her eyes and flinches back, expecting a hit that doesn't come. Opening her eyes she tries to play it off. "I didn't realize anyone was that worried. I had no way to call. No phone or anything. I got gas in the Jeep by stealing gas from open garages in Seattle, from gas cans and all. I got out and got here and this is where I've been."
Ryan furrows his brows some. "If he comes close to you I'll deal with him." said a bit cold before focusing on her. nodding. Money given to her. "Stay with me. but here is money for anything you need. Tell me how much you need for the Jeep and I'll get it." Sighing as he watches her. "When haven't I cared?" Index finger pokes her forehead, similar as he would as kids.
"Don't just come here expecting your money to fix everything. Money, Ryan? Really?" Anything he gives her, Shauna shoves back towards him. "I'm not for sale in any capacity." Of course she doesn't think he's trying anything off, she's just angry, apparently. Then again, she's always angry against authoritative figures. "Ryan, you got busy in your tech company. Aren't you even Fortune 500? I lost track years ago. "You can get my Jeep, I need to be mobile. I may need to leave this town. I thought it'd be a good place to hide out."
Ryan frowns. Taking the money but will put it on the table later. Geipping her face, stern grip but not hard. "Behave yourself." Furrowing his brows about him more or less abandoning her. He does look upset at that. "You think I stopped caring because I wanted all of us to have it better?" A bit of anger creeping into his voice. "I don't care if you want me here. You're my sister. I'm not going to let you rot in jail or die." Studying her some. "I'll get someone to protect you?" He suggest, if she is scared.
Shauna stands still, not moving when he grips her face. Her heated gaze meets his but there's not a lot of fight in her at that moment. She stands there, listening to him telling her what to do with that anger in his voice. "You don't get it do you? I don't want someone to protect me. I'm no Cinderella, no born-to-be princess. I can rescue myself. I've been doing a fine job of it for several years now. " There's a turn of her head in an attempt to get him to drop his hand from her face.
Ryan holds her face for a moment, even as she is struggling. Looking like a dog shaking it's head, sighing and letting go. "I don't think you need, but if someone is after you I don't want you to get hurt." As for her rescuing herself, he shrugs. "Perhaps, but I don't care. Only that you are alive."Scratching his head some. "I gave you room to do your own thing and you ended up on the other side of the world, in jail." HE points out, studying her some. "And you know I wouldn't do something you don't want, just cause parents said so." Sighing again as his accent is a bit more apparant and moving to sit. "Can't you go back to being 10?" He asks a bit teasingly.
However she looked, Shauna was irritated when he holds on too long. "I'm fine, Ryan. I won't allow him near me again. I'd just as soon kill him first. He doesn't know where I am. I was safe enough in jail. I did all I could to stay there as long as I did to make sure I had food and a place to stay. I won't depend on anyone but myself again. Myself and my family."
Ryan sits and nods, "I still get to worry." He suggests to her. Watching her some. "Stay here as long as possible. Since you have stayed away from us all, I am sure he won't suspect anything. Besides, I didn't stay here in my name." He assures her. "I missed you though."
"I can stay for now. I have to have my Jeep though. Or maybe sell it and get something else so I'm in a different vehicle." Shauna contemplates it before she walks over and drops down wearily on the couch. "Thank you," she says after some length. "For coming to rescue me."
Ryan looks to her and smiles, nodding. "No worries. And I always will." He reassures her. "We can get you a new one. What do you want?" He asks as he rises. "Sleep in the bed. I'll take the couch if you want." He offers.
"You're my brother Ryan. We put barricades and barbed wire fences between us and sleep in the same bed. It's big enough. Or a pillow blockade. I swear anything will be better than not sleeping in that noisy cell." Shauna rolls her eyes.
Ryan chuckles and nods. "Get some sleep Cara." He tells her and if she allows he will give her a proper hug now. Then moving to prepare for bed. "If you want to stay in town, so will I. We can find somewhere better than this later." He suggests.
