2019-09-29 - Hidden Content: Episode I

The camera turns on to showcase Cameron, wearing a large Mighty-Mouse t-shirt and sitting on her bed. She removes her hand from the recording device and leans back. She's looking a bit haggard, her skin pale(er than usual), bags under her eyes.

"Hello again, my lovelies! All my witches, warlocks, and sleepers-in-the-know. I haven't posted on my usual schedule because I've been sick. Deathly, deeply sick with this thing that's been going around. And that's what I'm gonna talk about today."

The dark-haired young woman presses her palms together, looking off to the side as she slowly tilts her shoulders one way, then the other, as if stretching or gathering her thoughts.

"So at first I thought it was just the flu that's been going around. But the longer it kept going on, the more... weird it got. For one thing, it didn't just last a few days, this took me OUT. Like hard. Totally laid up. But then came these hallucinations, and I started getting worried. Like... should I go to the hospital? That's when the Astral Projecting started."

The index fingers of both hands are pointed at the camera, then she claps her palms together and settles them in her lap, pulling up her legs to sit Indian-style.

"So as you know from my previous vids, Astral Projection is when you have an out-of-body experience. Your mind wanders, but your body stays behind. You move through a quasi-real, and very frightening, world similar to our own, but all kinds of freaky. You've heard me talk about it already. So!"

"I started going on these Astral jaunts while I was running a fever, pretty sure I was going to die. At least eighty percent sure? And nothing unusual, right? Sick witch, magic goes haywire. N-B-D. But then I started talking to other people..."

"Now, no one has saaaaaaaid anything. Not outright, they're all so shy about it. You know how no one wants to be the psycho person talking about witchcraft! Heh. No one but Yours Truly. But other people seem to have experienced the same thing. I'm not so sure this was a normal sickness. It felt more... visceral. Virulent. Tore through me like a Panzer division through France."

"And I think that maybe... just maybe... other people felt it, too. I'm going to have to try to talk to them about it, but they always get so awkward when I bring it up! Anyway, keep your eyes open and your peepers peeled, because Samhain is coming up, and you know how wild that gets in the Astral and Spirit realms. Ta-ta!"

Cameron unfolds her legs, leaning forward and shutting off the camera.
