More traditional, he gets her address to pick her up and shows up at the right time and date. His car is a little loud, but not crazy. Not his work truck but and old Ford coupe that he likes for himself. Engine on display, no hood, dark in color. Left on the street, he's in jeans and a long sleeved shirt for the weather, light blue to denim blue in color but not fully matching like he escaped some old prison. It works, and there he is rining at her door, turning to look back towards the street as he waits to for her. His hair more combed, or fingered through, its not too crazy like as if he'd been in the shop all day and sticking up; not as much at least, it has a mind of its own. On his feet are some simple, clean black converse. He even runs a hand through his hair as he waits, like that helps somehow when it doesn't really change too much.

It is a little cooler out and Shauna is wearing calf high boots, more combat style but they're not so weighty and clompy. A pleated skirt is worn with a vest. Just a vest. It shows more cleavage than it should maybe, and the back has a fastener that forms it to her body. She lets him see what she's wearing before she tugs on a zip up hoodie over it, not bothering to zip the hoodie. "Hi there," she steps outside, closing the door behind her. Her brother is likely in there somewhere. "You look great, Ja.." Then she sees his car and her jaw drops. A fellow car enthusiast is just the person to appreciate a car like that. "Oh my god! She's beauiful! Has she got a name?" She whistles and walks out to circle her.

"Well Kid, I sometimes call her Car," says Jack, master of surnames, nicknames, monikers and the like. And he's more looking at Shauna, having seen the vest, and cleavage and definitely not bothering to sneak a look, he looked and even as his head turned, eyes did not. Then down to books. His speech a little slowly until he finally looks at the car. "Maybe she could use a name, you good at names?" That could be serious, "You're looking good there too, a match, I feeel I should of worn something more, noteworthy. But great dart gear there." He nods a certaintly, "You win, you can drive us back." Assuming they're both in a drivable state, or such. He offers a hand out, letting her lead the way, but pulling keys out. The key chain for this car has a small eightball attached to it, maybe it would match black fuzzy mirror dice, if he had mirror dice in that car.

All it takes is his compliment and Shauna turns a circle for him, he seemed interested, so she showed it off. "Thank you. I'm not sure how good I am at names, but maybe by the end of the night something will strike me." Slippin her hand into his, she lets him lead her to the car, accepting the offer. "If I'm in condition to drive, I'll do that. If we're not, then it's an Uber or something? Safety first!" A grin and she walks down to the car, admiring it completely. "This baby is gorgeous."

"Exactly, precious carog or whatever, we'l be safe," he agrees, in no mood to drive and endanger anyone, or the car even. "If a name is found, its found. Car for now though. She took some work. If the Fairlane comes out nice, who knows, maybe focus the shop on our own projects. Just fix up what we want instead of repairs only." He shrugs the moves to get her door, no auto locks, it takes a key to unlock the door on her side, he'll open and let her, in, take a look for certain as she sits down, vantage point. Then scoot over towards his side. Even as he lets her in he's talking, "Depends how darts go and if I need to win, or if you're hussling me with your dart skills girl. Too mush hussling and I'll be drinking heavy." Teasing there, before he's off to his side.

"Car is enough for now, she's a great car." Shauna gets inside, the skirt hiking a little to show a little more thigh once she settles down inside the car. The seat belt is fastened. "You have other projects you own? I still think we should do a demo derby. Let's plan one together." She waits for him to get in and grins as he starts talking again, listening. "I can drink. I'm Irish. Darts? Well, I'm okay at that."

"Here and there, if I find a good old body to work on, its a project yeah. Usually one at a time though, then try to move it you know." A shrug as he settles in and fires it up, it rumbles loudly, shaking the car. He raises his voice and engages the AC, his window is rolled down. More to thrust an arm out, out of habit. "I have this and another that's mine, beside work truck which just gets me around to parts I need." He look over, eyes towards thighs and skirt, then up to her eyes, as they work along curves, "We can try that demolition derby, we'll just need to find space here and enough folks willing to come here. Over drinks and darts, you work on winning drinking, I'll work on winning darts, we'll roll the joint." Take control of both, damn the others. He gets going, eyes front and on the street. It has good pick up for sure, he could probably smoke the street if he pushed the petal, if one had to guess.

"Oh we can have it in the next town over. There's a track between here and Elma. We can have it there. It's not too far away from here. (KarmaBum (kb) says, "I'm sure there's a racetrack somewhere within easy driving distance.") Shauna watches him watching her and turns a little to face him, decidedly liking his frankness in things. "Thing is, I don't mind winning either or neither. I don't mind losing especially if the stakes are stacked right." She listens to the car as it roars down the road and closes her eyes, liking the fast speed/

"That so, girl?" Jack considers, more about stakes than the track, but nodding about the track, being local and all. That arm out the window comes back in and curls to scratch under his chin at some beard or stubble or something there. Just idle hands. "So, its about the stakes. They'd have to be high if you want me trying real hard now." And its more tease than like something that would put either one over their head in paying up, in any context. "Let's say you win, what are you looking to get out of this deal then, Shauna?" See he can say her name too.

"I don't know about what stakes you're looking for to make you try real hard but most things I don't leave to luck or chance. I already got the job I want." Pondering it before finding something she is interested in. "I say we get a couple of cars fixed up for demo and go to the track, just you and I, and we up the stakes. First, if I win the drinking and darts, we go with our own vehicles since we'll be hosting the event and won't be able to do it the day the others do it. If I win that, I name the cost.. If you win it, you name the cost. It'll take me that long at least to consider what it is I want." Shauna smirks. "And what do you say? I'm up for compromise or if you have better ideas."

"I had no stakes in mind, you said you're as serious as the stakes. Just figuring how competitive I'm needing to be here." A little grin hits the corner of his mouth, he turns to look at here while they pull up to a stop sign and wait to go. "I'm good with that, one-on-one," he offers then affirms a second later, "At the track. You saying our own cars for a derby or a race now? I'm not quite following that part." He starts to go again, heading for the bar they'll play darts at, just a block or two away now. "If I win drinking and darts, you owe me a dance." That's all he says on it, he moves to park in plain site of the building they're going too.

"All I meant with the demo derby was we can go with a vehicle each and have one for us because the night we host one for everyone else we'll be too busy running it to participate in it. If anyone shows. If no one shows we take the prize money and donate it to Christmas for the needy or something." Shauna isn't a do-gooder but it's something anyway. Contemplating his offer, she gives him a nod. "A dance it is then. I hope you can dance."

"A dance or a derby, fair stakes," for their evening here. Jack nods agreement at that as he kills the engine and jumps out. Either she meets him out there it he gets her door, the can enter together and get drinks. "I might still like that one on one derby with you, but better accept your dancing cause tonights mine girl." Again he gets the door no questions asked. "We'll Start with a pitcher of Reiner, then you let me know what it is you drink. We'll see where we stand after that. Just now, better let me know what music you like to dance to before I've an excuse to forget. " A little beer in the system that is.

Chivalry was still alive and in the form of one mechanic by the name of Jack. He gets her door, Shauna climbs out and smiles at him in a bemused manner. Together they do enter and she thanks him for the door thing and they walk over for a drink. "We'll see, Jack, we'll see where the night belongs." Hearing the order of teh Reiner, she grins. "You're definitely not going to win with that. I'm Irish, lad." Since he calls her girl. "A pub beer is what I had in my bottles as a baby." Her lips curve. "I can dance an Irish Jig."

"An Irish Jig, that's sort of like mountain clogging here in the states?" Serious as his face looks, not much of a stretch, that is probably pretty far from serious; he doesn't sound like he's from Appalachia if that mattered. "I should have been more specific in the request. If that's what you dance after I beat you here, you'll have to teach me I guess, we can both stick out in a crowd." They move in , he flags for that pitcher, hand signals a little and calls it out to to someone who can get it, then finds a dart board to slot quarters. "You show me what you drink next round, we'll see how I hold up. And I missed my mark on that question, I was hoping you might say what music it is you listen too. Unless just Irish folk music stuff, I guess its not folk music where you're from though."

"Oh I like all music for the most part. You play a rock song from the 60s through now, I'll find a way to dance to it. Or pop or country or any other sort. I'll dance anything. I was teasing about the Irish jig." She walks over to the dart board and looks it over, checking out the whole of it, scorekeeping, etc. She was interested in the game, maybe she was good at it. "Nothing wrong with a good beer."

"See there, a preference, and a good one. Music is good, rock out of the 60s is really good. I'd follow it up with some of the 90s stuff, early 90s. But that's me," nods Jack as a pitcher and two cups is on the way. He looks at her looking over the dartboard, checking it out and all. "Looks like we might come out of this in a tie, you and your drinking me and my darts. Choose your game, we'll see how it goes." The popular ones being cricket and 300 it looks like on the dart board.

"You choose the game, I'll watch you go first then follow up on it." Leaving that to him. "And I'll pour our drinks when they come. Ignore the roofies. I do what I can to win." A wink given to him, because she's probably joking.

He picks cricket and puts their initials in, JW and SC. Its the one that both try to get three bulls eyes and three each of 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, and 15. The first to get three of each (or hit triple score once of each) wins. The instructions are on the side of the machine at least. He does grin to her after he picks and she talks about pouring drinks. "Come on now, if you're gonna plot that against me, at least realize it'll take less then roofies. Besides, I'd want to remmeber if that happend." For his own purposes clearly, with a nod though and getting that grin tucked away, he puts on a game face, steps to the line and starts their game of darts, throwing his three first. He picked the yellow ones.

There it is, he seems really good at darts when he throws the dart towards the target. She only knows regular darts where you try and hit the bullseye. Once she watches though, she collects her own darts. "Less than roofies? You saying you're already a willing subject?" Laughing softly, she walks up to the line with her red darts. She aims and throws.

"Come on now," he says as if she's kidding, "It'd take an idiot not to be a willing subject, you looked in a mirror lately?" Serious faced in his manner. He got a few of the number struck from his 'needed', more so then Shauna. Seems he plays some darts for sure. Probably on the regular, he knew how to get the game he wanted pretty quickly on the menu and his darts went up pretty quickly. "Unless that's how they do it up in Ireland, roofies. You might be the expert." Her family does own a pub, and he doesn't mind teasing. His lips don't grin, but his eyes offer a sort of gleam to them when he's less than serious, she may notice more if she's watching him.

"Maybe, but I'm not conceited enough to assume I'm everyone's cup of tea either. Tats and all, red hair. Little on the more plump side of skinny." So says her round face and solid build. "I've never roofied anyone, nor have I been roofied. But hey, if you were doing the deed, can't say I'd be completely adverse." She's totally joking. "I mean I'll try most anything once." She doesn't mind teasing back either, she's just having a good time with him.. She looks to his eyes again before offering the board. "I believe it's your go."

"Hold up now," says Jack with confusion, a brow raised a little, "Whose saying anything about plump?" As if that confounds him cause he sees no such thing. " Anything once, twice if it's good. I like that spirit. Not fiery, but I don't know, gusto?" He nods and steps up with his darts, focusing and throwing. Getting a drink from his pint between second and third dart. Moving to pick them off the board even before his last shot registers.

"Well I'm not skinny. And I'm totally not fishing for compliments so no preaching to any choirs or anything." Shauna stands aside to watch him throwing his darts, appreciating how he doesn't hold back to let her win. If she wins, she wants to earn it. It doesn't look real possible though! Not with his skills! While he throws, she downs a couple of cups, leaving it for him to catch up, pouring him equal amounts after she finishes her cups. Once he moves to get his darts, she steps up to the line. "You know if I have to dance at the end of this, you get to choose the dance we do and the music." Once he's cleared the area where the darts are, she throws her own.

<FS3> Shauna rolls Reflexes: Success (8 5 3 1) (Rolled by: Portal)

Taking more of a lead, Jack goes to grab his darts and comes back to her lead in drinking. He'll not quite catch up but he'll down what he can, get going on finishing the pitcher at least to see what she'll order for next round. "Skinny ain't pretty either." His stance, he knows what's in the right range for his likes and it's neither plump not skinny. He turns to see how she did and watches her get her darts. "Oh I've got some songs on mind already, don't worry about that part. She be ready to get that dance on girl. I better think about loosening up too, at this rate."

He was definitely winning, that was a given. Shauna had her own skills, but they didn't extend to darts apparently. Her eyes flash amusement at his preferences, but she doesn't argue any points for or against. Instead, she gathers her darts and comes back to finish her cup of beer. Only when they have finished it, she orders and she doesn't disappoint. "Guinness." But only because he seemed to expect it. It is something she does like though so she sticks with it. "How about you choose all but two songs." Wait, how long does she plan on dancing with him?

Jack is confident with the darts, it seemed a sure bet, or so he hoped but looks like its paying off. "Good choice, you can pick again after this round," he'll flag for someone to order drinks again, or she does, he's good with it, finishing his cup at least to try and catch up. "I like Reiner but I'm good with other beer." Then he considers, giving her a look again, "All but two, I'm good with that, selections from the playlist of Jack. But makes me damn curious, girl, what those two songs are you have in mind. Like must plays. Curious what they are and when we'll get to them." Not that he's in a rush, he knows he has a few songs he could put on a list for some dancing easily enough with this girl.

With her darts collected, Shauna realizes he could win with his next shots so she eyes the dartboard before looking back to him. "You may find out you've got to name a song in a hurry, mate. If you win with your next turn. I've got mine chosen, just if I case I miss my own and you do good." She gets a cup of beer and gets to work on drinking it. "You're up. The moment of truth."

"Oh, my first pick is too easy for dancing if it involves you," says Jack, taking a step up. "You better be ready to dance to some Lesley Gore, You Don't Own Me." Confident enough to name the song even before throwing and then he throws his darts. "There you go, see what you got and if you're ready to shake your thing there, girlie." And he tosses the last one, aiming to seal the deal of course, letting it lie where it may.

"Interesting choice. I'll have to pay more attention to the lyrics when it plays so I can have a refresher." Shauna watches his throws and nods, impressed when he makes it. She waits for him to gather his, but he'd already won, if she could tell right. She is going to throw hers no matter what because she's not a quitter, and she's going to try!"I hope they have the song on the jukebox here for you, at least." Her eyes sparkle with mischief.

"Lyrics are good, I think it's more the sway and attitude that would suit you more than the words," responds Jack. And if he's picking a joint that still has an actual juke, most likely it's on there. It's a chart song in multiple decades, original and creative covers. "You tried, took it like a champ too, fought to the end." Given as it's clear he's won. "Time to pony for that dance kid, you and me, let's cut it out there." Or wherever the dance floor is, he goes to put the track onto the play list.

Shauna cedes the victory to him and with a smile she watches him go over to make the selection as she makes her way to the dance floor. Of course she never does anything half way, so she strikes a pose, her hand extended out to his so that when he comes over, she's ready to move right into dancing with style when he steps on the dance floor.

<FS3> Shauna rolls Dancing: Amazing Success (8 8 7 6 6 6 6 5) (Rolled by: Portal)

Jack likes the rough sort of soundof this style of music. A little growly, dime might think almost raunchy shy of a 60s style sax. His arms go out when he approaches and he slips in a snap, more his body moves less with a demand for her to fill in the void between his arms near him. His finger tips reach out to her offered hand to pull her in as well demanding an invite for her to move with him/for him. He likes this music apparently. More 60s not quite rock of that era but good music.

<FS3> Jack rolls Reflexes: Success (8 5 2) (Rolled by: Portal)

Shauna spins into his arms when he reaches for her fingertips. The spin, when she completes it, leaves her right there against him, catching his other hand in hers. Some fancy footwork, more twists as she old fashioned dances with him, her skirt twirling around her, she at least seems to be having a lot of fun.

He doesn't move much but with her when she's close. Fits the song if that era at least. She's shows it off, Jack accentuates or simply focuses to her. Barely he keeps up, this girls moves and then she really moves. "Well, looks like you've upped the stakes and are getting in the lead Shauna, you'll get your one on one after this." Take it or leave it, he does play at meaning the derby between them, he's got this dance he wanted and it's more than he imagined apparently.

Her hand lifts to his shoulder and she leans back, way back, trusting him to hold her before she falls or something. It does perchance show cleavage and her skills. The song is really not a long one so she answers him before it does. "I'll take the one on one, but I want to play a song too." Shauna hadn't forgotten that either. She straightens before smiling and going to the jukebox. The song is on there because it was in the popular movie PS I Love You. She selects it then comes back as the music from Galway Girl starts. Apparently, she's a Galway Girl.

She moves good enough to make them both look good, he's got her when she leans back. As unassuming as he looks, he's a bit of a brick when it comes down to it. "Yeah, one song now, then I get to hear your second choice next time we dance?" Or tonight, he's up for whatever may come. Right now its dancing. It rolls into her choice at some point and he dances to her song too. "Fitting, Galway Girl." He gives it to her, a Galway Girl it is. He enjoys the dance, more so because she can move, he's not half bad but she's definitely got the moves, his eyes take all of her in, her, her cleavage when its there, her skills, her outfit, her boots. Like learning to walk again somehow, learning her in the moves of the music and less talking for the time.

Shauna did like to dance and she was good at it. She even wraps all around him all sexy like at one point before the song finally ends. With a smile she twirls once more and drops to a curtsy, all Irish like. "Thank you!" The red head has pink cheeks and her green eyes are bright. "Are you ready to get out of here?" Leaving the next steps to him. Home or driving or what?

She wraps sexy around him, his arms and hands grab curves that line up just right in that move. He doesn't withhold that there is want there, to be there with her. Dancing, more, no doubts left behind. "Yeah, let's blow this stand. Get behind the wheel and see where we end up." He'll leave an arm wrapped behind her when they exit the dancing, not quite paying the proximity of her as the head for exit then car. Driving not home, or not parting company, not yet. The night send young still. Young enough.

Pretty sure Shauna knows the effect she is having on him. And to the opposite, he on her. With his arm around her she walks towards the exit with him, then out to his bad ass car,. She even hip bumps him a few times on the way out. At the car, she smiles before getting into the door he opens for her, letting him know she's not ready for the night to end. "I am having an amazing time with you so far."

Taking the hip bumps, he finds himself with a hint of a smile there. Jack is enjoying the evening as well. He still gets door for her, its what he does. "Yeah, it ain't a bad night at all, kid," he agrees with her sentiment, an amazing time so far. Getting in his side he looks over at her as he starts the car up. "A ride around, show you the sites." As its basically a bench seat in there, he lifts that arm up, she can slide on up to him, his chin sways a little in a get over here motion. They're off, about town. Windows down, engine rumbling, playing with how fast the old coupe can go, even given its age. After a few lights blown, or other cars smoked, they can end up with a dark overlook of the river as it pours out towards the Pacific. "You can drive us home, when its time." He offers, not moving from the drivers seat at present.

With it being a bench seat, all Shauna needs is that silent invitation and she scoots over there, the skirt twisting just a little around her legs. She lifts up and fixes it, and settles in beside him, smiling when his arm goes around her. "Sure, I'll take the grand tour. I know where Kelly's Gym is. And the boardwalk. The ferris wheel there looks pretty fun but I suppose it will be closing for the winter soon." If it already wasn't, While they drive, she looks around, comfortable beside him, and as soon as they get to the lookout, she smiles up at him. "This place is great! And I'd love to drive us back, you'll have to point the way."

Looking out a little he nods, and turns to find that smile turned up his way. Jack nods, "We just drive and see what you remember, we'll get there. Like that song, the highway, ride it all night long. We'll get there." He look down a little from her eyes and back up again at them, "Could just be a road we don't know where it goes, but you know, you drive to see where it ends." He brings his other hand around to search for her chin, giving a little lift of it, more pulling her towards him. Seeing if she'll scoot up a little and they can see where that road goes too.

Of course Shauna sings it. "Life is a highway, I wanna ride it all night long. If you're going my way.. I wanna drive all night long." It was nice knowing he wasn't in a hurry, even to go back, she was enjoying herself. Oooh, then his hand finds her chin and it leads to where she was certain it was going to, the better part of the night. Tilting her head back, she lifts and green eyes drift closed as their lips finally meet, her own are soft beneath his, making no demands, just following where it leads.

That song is good, her sining it better, locks him in his focus on her, forgetting the night around them. Jack lets her lips find his, or guides her chin to bring her in for that kiss. The hand that lifted warms against her cheek, palm flat there holding her. Its soft, with undertones of passion, but exploring, sensing, tasting. His other arm comfortable around her, letting her find her place in that kiss. The quiet night around them on the bench of that old ford coupe. His lips push, taste, part and he suckles her lips, pulling them to his mouth, tasting hers, especially her bottom lip. He seems rather fond of that one, lost in the sensation of her lips at his own, a new dance, in the quiet of the night, just the two of them.

The mutual kiss deepens and turns more explorative with the lips and their tongues, Shauna lifting her hand and touching her fingertips with his before folding her fingers down, lacing them with his. She seems in no hurry to end the kiss or the moment. Or the night.
