(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2019/09/why-you-cant-display-your-relatives-skull/597307/
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: Wanting to know how to skeletonize a human head? I could tell you. I also wonder what passes for 'family sensibilities' in Gray Harbor.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: And I could tell you how to reduce it to nothing 😉
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Seemed relevant to yesterday's conversation about how much you CAN'T do with your own body postmortem.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: And I have a hard time relating to any family that doesn't appreciate the idea of skull jelly bean dishes. So.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/washington-first-state-allow-burial-method-human-composting-180972020/ Saw this a while back. Seems an interesting option. And yay for living in a progressive burial state?
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Already knew that, Nine 😉
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Like I said, I'm down for becoming compost.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: Seems better than cremation, if the environment is the reason you are doing it. Ditch the fire and the effects it has, let it be done all natural.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Not just about the environment. I mean, yeah, part of it?
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: But there's something beautiful about being part of everything continuing, ya know?
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Instead of being shoved full of carcinogens and shoved in a box in the ground.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: Cremation gets you that too... well, potentially. Unless your ashes are put up on the fireplace mantle in an urn shaped to hold jelly beans.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Plan B is now lop off my head to save my skull as an urn for my ashes.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: I mean, around here... there is probably some monster that goes around doing that to people.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Way to sour my dreams ☹️
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Are you okay?
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: What? I thought that would help fulfill your dreams! Just don't go looking for it anytime soon, yeah? 🙂
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: ...
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Monsters are generally not helpful as a rule of thumb. Not like they're gonna hand it over to my family for a reasonable service fee.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: I'm good. Real good, actually. Working on arranging dinner... just want to make sure it'll be on a night I'm not in liberty to be interrupted.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: How was your day out with Zelie?
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Corpse talk dinner is getting some non-interruption considerations? I mean, I knew this was important to you, but.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: And I'm kidding. About the monsters. We all know they don't charge reasonable fees.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: She tells me you are cuter in person than pictures but you're still way too old.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: Depends on which talk you want. Corpse talk? Happy to do that. Still would prefer to have any time with you uninterrupted. If you are wanting to know about experiments though? That's time that I really don't want interrupted.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Scheduling an uninterrupted evening of me lecturing you about legality, ethics and process? Bold, Nine.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: Yeah? Was good to meet someone from your family. Even if they feel I'm way too old. ❤️
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: You've met my brother! It's not like I've kept you sequestered. I still haven't met any of yours properly beyond a brief exchange with Noelle and a passing glimpse of her twin.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: It wasn't an accusation, Cards. Just saying it was nice! And yeah. I don't know where they have been keeping themselves hidden at. Winter, Nat and Snow I'm not surprised. They keep busy. When Noelle and Ellis go quiet...
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: She wants to actually do lunch FWIW
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: But she also said that she wants to do lunch with ALL my boyfriends all at once, so.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Not sure how seriously I should take that.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: Well, now I'm just disappointed. And I'll nudge Noelle. If I can find her again.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Why?
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: Because I want you to meet Noelle, of course. And to answer what I assume is the real why, because she wants to have lunch with everyone at once. It'd just have been interesting watching you two together. Family is important, yeah? But, to be fair, I already have a really good sense of how you are with her. You really look out for her.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Tch.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: First?
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: She proposed both.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Second? All of you at once is NOT happening.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: For two reasons.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Scheduling.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: And deciding who merits invite.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: And third? I can try to make it happen.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: The three of us or whatever.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: We can add it to our list of things for sure.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Not sure I wanna be a list.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: /You/ aren't a list. But I like having things to look forward to.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Nah, sounds like a list of things which need planning and scheduling and arranging.
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: All right. You won't be a list.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: You're the best 😃
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: Lemme know about dinner, yeah? Next item on what is very much not a list.
(TXT to Yule) Sparrow: 😘
(TXT to Sparrow) Yule: Yeah. I will. See you soon.
