(TXT to Yule) Esme : Are you okay?? What happened?
(TXT to Yule) Esme : Actually, I don't know if I want to know what happened.
(TXT to Yule) Esme : I tried to stop in and see you but they said you weren't accepting visitors. And since it isn't a police matter yet I couldn't flash the badge.
(TXT to Esme) Yule : I'm fine. It's just a scratch... that required minor surgery. And stitches. And crutches for a while. I'll be out before you know it. Just... needed time to myself. How are you?
(TXT to Yule) Esme : (dancing dots for a minute)
(TXT to Yule) Esme : Thinking you're extremely lucky you're not taking visitors right now.
(TXT to Yule) Esme : But...I am glad you'll be okay. I will admit I panicked a little when I heard about the explosion and that you were taken to the hospital.
(TXT to Esme) Yule : Yeah? I'm going to pretend that's for Good Reasons rather than what I'm almost certain you mean. But, that isn't what I meant. How /are/ you? You went all quiet too, you know, after... the station.
(TXT to Yule) Esme : Besides questioning the very validity of my reality and whether or not I'm actually just going insane? I'm fine.
(TXT to Yule) Esme : I have about a hundred thousand questions. None that make sense. And I keep waiting for the candid camera crews to come out of hiding. Hasn't happened yet though.
(TXT to Esme) Yule : Yeah. It's... you are not going insane. There are just things that go on here that until you experience them? You wouldn't ever believe. It's ok. I'll help.
(TXT to Yule) Esme : Will it though? It doesn't seem like a helpful thing. It seems more like a bad thing even if that...thing...gave us helpful information.
(TXT to Esme) Yule : I don't know that we can attribute good or bad to what happened in this case. It just is, Esme. And at the end of the day, if it lets us track down this thing? We deal with what is in front of us first. Stopping more murders.
(TXT to Yule) Esme : I wish I could express how difficult it is for me to accept this whole thing at face value. But I know you're right about just focusing on the case and all first and foremost. I'm going to be looking into hitting up the support groups to ask around if anyone remembers a guy with that name.
(TXT to Esme) Yule : Doubt is natural, yeah? If you were going to accept it at face value so quickly, you'd probably already be in some cult right now anyway. 🙂 Questions are a good thing. It's your natural instincts kicking in. And that sounds good. I'm going to see what I can do to put a concoction together to equip you with, in case you find this thing.
(TXT to Yule) Esme : True. When you're out of the hospital we can talk more about it. Gives me time to organize my thoughts more. A concoction? Like..I'm supposed to try and force feed it or throw it at the thing?
(TXT to Esme) Yule : Well, I'd recommend using your gun first if it comes to that, you know? Since I don't know if this will work. But it is a just in case because sometimes these things... well. They don't react like you'd think to being shot. It'll be an injection. Syringe type of thing. Chemo in it, with whatever else I can feasibly get my hands on without raising too many eyebrows.
(TXT to Yule) Esme : Fair. Shoot first seems like a good plan...Maybe I'll pick up a good knife too. You were holding something in the precinct. I didn't really remember until like the next day. What was it?
(TXT to Esme) Yule : Yeah. It said there is a door on spruce street... we need a guide to help get us through it. It's where Hobbs sleeps at. Hobbs was what he called this thing, yeah?
(TXT to Esme) Yule : So we could take the hunt to it. I might know a guy who can help guide us.
(TXT to Yule) Esme : That is definitely something I will let you handle. Getting the guide. You better not try and confront Hobbs alone. There is a reporter that was looking into this stuff...might try to wrangle her and ask to help me question people since they might feel more comfortable talking to not a cop. And to cover more ground.
(TXT to Esme) Yule : Sounds like a plan. And I wouldn't dream of it. Especially not in my current condition, without your backup firearm. I mean, really, what's a guy got to do to get a gun around here?
(TXT to Yule) Esme : Get the proper licensing and know how to shoot it 😛
(TXT to Esme) Yule : Good to see you are still in your proper mind, Wilkinson. 🙂
(TXT to Yule) Esme : If I didn't stick to the rules I wouldn't be me. No matter how much I may be tempted to. I should get back to researching support groups. I'll check in a bit later.
(TXT to Yule) Esme : Wǒ ài nǐ. Gǎnjué hǎoduōle
(TXT to Esme) Yule : ... I'm translating that, you know. And... glad to see you still have a few surprises up your sleeve. I'm going to get some rest.
(TXT to Yule) Esme : I'd be disappointed if you didn't. Rest well
