2021-11-28 - Benjamin McNeely Found Dead

Benjamin McNeely, who was recently the prime suspect in the disappearance and murder of his sister, Addison, has been found dead this morning.

Benjamin's body was found on the side of the highway shot once in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Benjamin was arrested last month in connection with the kidnapping and murder of his sister Addison, who went missing 20 years ago when both brother and sister were 18.

The GHPD had been close to procuring a confession from Benjamin, and the DA office was confident a plea agreement would be reached, when suddenly McNeely's lawyers pulled out of plea negotiations and the DA dropped all charges.

While law enforcement officials have been largely silent on the matter, only saying it's still an open investigation, rumors have swirled that the initial evidence Benjamin was planted and that Officer Higgins (who committed suicide last month) was somehow involved.
