2022-05-19 - Willow's Dream

Swirling mists cover the air all around her, almost like a fog, but not quite as thick. Everything looks different, the lines don't seem as sharp, though that is played off as nothing more than tricks of the eyes.
New York City, in all its spender, lays before her, just as she remembers.

Willows walks down the street, that's strange, she doesn't remember coming here, though Benjamin probably planned it for her, one last big trip before the baby is born, how sweet of him. Her practiced gaze falls over the area, "Ah, Times Square, one of my favorite places to go, I must be here for a show." Hands come down to rub over her very pregnant belly, "Alright kiddo, time for me to show you where I am from, just remind me later to thank daddy for this trip."

The day is spent walking the familiar streets, going to her favorite cafe's and even stopping in Central Park for a carriage ride. "Strange." She muses to herself, as she once again goes through her bag, "I could have sworn I brought my cell phone, why wouldn't I bring my cell phone." That thought starts to worry her, more than she would like; how will she get in touch with Benjamin if she goes into labor. It's then that she sees two figures watching her from beyond the trees, their gaze staying on her as her carriage rounds the corner and her ride has reached its completion.

One hand coming down onto her stomach, she steps carefully from the carriage and scans the trees, noting that the figures are once again watching her, only this time they are closer, their edges seeming to blur into the background and the one on the right lifts it's hand to her before both figures blink out, disappearing right in front of her eyes.

A scream falls from the young woman's lips, only now realizing where she is, and she falls to the ground, holding her head while the sound of malicious laughter surrounds her.
