Hippocratic Oath: Abraham has taken the oath of medicine: 'first, do no harm'. Abraham, as such, is no fighter, since he will often resort to solutions where nobody is hurt. His hands are meant to heal, not harm.

Doctor: Abraham is a surgeon of master class.

ER Doc: Abraham has pulled a few shifts on the emergency team. Not his first, not his last either.

Out of Town: Abraham is from Seattle.

Languages: Abraham speaks Spanish and French, with some knowledge in ASL due to the diversity of patients that often come in.

Hospital Staff: Abraham does not have his own practice, but rather he works at the Gray Harbor hospital.

Genius: Abraham is incredibly smart with his specialty being medicine. He learns things extremely quickly and always hungers to learn more.

Abraham Valentine was born in Seattle, Washington to Samson and Rachel Valentine. Samson was a radiologist who somehow always made time for his son -- and it was Samson who inspired a great love in Abraham for the art of medicine ever since he was a boy. A big heart and some early teaching really sparked the fire for medicine and encouraged his intellectual mind. Rachel was a housewife, but she was a shark with the cards and a former translator, teaching Abraham Spanish and French.

His youth and schooling were a little strange for him. He was a bit of a nerd and a geek simultaneously, performing with the mathletes at competitions and playing dungeons and dragons too. Furthermore, Abraham was one of those kids who was a friend to everyone. The cool kids, the 'losers', the goths...everybody. but...a trend kept on coming back. He could feel the minds of others...sometimes pens or pencils would move with his mind...he could tell when people were hurt or hurting...and may have accidentally started a few 'unexplainable/accident' fires. It was no surprise at all that right after he was done with high school? He went straight to medschool. He got in both from great grades and recommendation, having worked with a pain & rehab doctor since he was 16 years old. No doubt his...strange abilities helped him along the way. As he grew, so did his strange powers.

And their attempts at getting to him. Thankfully, Abraham learned early not to abuse his abilities, lest he draw unsavory eyes.

Once there, he started making waves. Unbeknownst to many, he had often used his strange abilities (Spirit) to help him pinpoint damage so he can best know how to treat it. A fascination with such abilities truly began here as he focused upon them, lighting his way with some pyrokinesis and often calling small utensils to his hands when nobody was looking to save time. He worked with a Dr. West on projects and research papers whilst completing his doctrates, having submitted five projects to the Journal. He got his M.D and PhD at the same time. However...constant use of his abilities, even when used for something drastic like pulling someone back from the edge of death to successfully treat them causes not only strain on the body, but draws much unwanted attention.

High grade fevers and plants dying around him were commonplace for him, causing him to experience a sense of isolation to avoid something awful like...getting disected for the 'how' or something. There were times when Abraham felt forced to reach deep into himself to save a life during a surgery, and as such...he seemed weakened after from the power that left him. But even worse were the Dark Men. He felt Them frequently as they haunted his dreams to feed on his glimmer and fear. Though Abraham was physically weak, he refused to bow to the Dark Men and let them have their way. He forced himself to not use the Glimmer as often, only in times of need...for such a power was not to be used lightly. He knows their presence well.

Since then, he's become one of the most renowned surgeons of his field. He specializes in brain injury and trauma, but he expanded his knowledge in other areas, able to perform surgeries in three other fields of medicine: skeletal damage, muscular damage, and spinal trauma. He still used his Glimmer now and again to save a life or mend a bone in surgeries with low success outcomes, which no doubt kept drawing Them to him, but each time he successfully evaded them. However, he got a phone call: his father had finally passed away. Saddened, he further learned his mother had moved to Gray Harbor...someplace 'quiet' to mourn peacefully.

Abraham moved to Gray Harbor to be there for his mother, signing up to work at the Gray Harbor hospital...where he has noticed many things, including others who have the Glimmer. What path he takes now? Who can say.

Doctor Valentine is a tall man at 6', with short hair and a (usually) clean shaven face. His eyes are a light blue and his facial features are long and sharp, making him look somewhat odd. However, he keeps himself looking clean and sharp to help compensate.

His daywear is rather simple, surprisingly. He typically enjoys the finer clothing in life, such as polo shirts, longsleeves, and suit jackets. He dresses very nicely and holds a gentlemanly flare about him. He's almost always wearing at least jeans and a nice shirt.

When he's on duty, he wears the white coat and blue scrubs underneath. He looks just about ready for a surgery at all times and moves swiftly. There is a watch on his right wrist so he can keep track of time as he gets moving.
