"You remember the Dixons, right? That weird family that used to live out by the highway in that two-story home. Yeah, the one that's just a pile of burnt out rubble now? Shame what happened to them, ain't it? What were their names again? It was Fred and Mary Dixon, right? No, wait. Frank and Marlene. That's it. Real polite couple, even if they was a little off. Had them twins, boy and a girl as I recall.
The kids were as odd as their folks. Always together, holding hands, finishing each other's sentences. Never did seen one without the other. I hear they still don't know to this day how that fire started. People say it went through the house like the dang place had been soaked in gasoline. Whole family was asleep at the time. Probably never stood a chance. What's that? Oh yeah, there was the one survivor. One of the kids. No, I can't rightly recall if it was the boy or the girl who made it out.
What I heard for Jenny Michaels, poor thing had watched their sibling die. Anyways, Jenny said the State took the youngin' out of town a few days later. Probably put 'em in an orphanage or one of them group homes. Yep, real shame about that family.
Anyways, I keep expecting someone to buy the place one of these days. Tear it down and build something new. Maybe one of these days."
I met Ava at the same time as Una and Ravn. Hopefully I'll get to know her better as I get re-settled into town.
Ravn was one of the first people I met upon my return to Gray Harbor. Super nice guy though the gloves are a bit odd.
This chick bakes awesome cookies. Even if she wasn't so adorably sweet, I would find a way to stop by her house regularly for dessert. And to make her blush.
Willow seems to be gaining a fair understanding of just how weird this town is. If I hadn't grown up here, I'll probably be even more confused than her. Still, she's super sweet and has an open mind. I like hanging around her.
Prodigal Child Returns - Charity is originally from Gray Harbor, but left right at the beginning of freshman year of high school. Now they're back and looking to reconnect with their birthplace. If you're around their age and a Gray Harbor native, you might remember the Weird Dixon Twins.
Hey There, Cutie! - Charity is a horrible flirt. Usually the purpose is just to break the ice with strangers or tease acquaintances. Sometimes, however, one is never really sure if they're being serious or not.
Wet Your Whistle, Sailor? - Charity currently works as a cocktail waitress at the Olympic Casino. True, the uniform is extremely short and there never seems to be an end to the wayward hands, but the tips are better than expected. Plus they always seems to know exactly when the customer is going to become too forward with their unsavoriness and manages to avoid the gamblers who are in a particularly foul mood. Almost uncanny in a way.
The Past is Past - Charity does not speak a lot about their life between leaving Gray Harbor and the recent return. Occasionally they will mention their parents and people they knew in town. They do not, however, speak of their twin.
Charity has the slender, yet toned, build of a practiced dancer. Their movements are fluid and graceful as if being choregraphed to unseen music. Bright green eyes seem to never remain focused on any one thing for too long and there is a persistent sly smile constantly etched across that pretty face. Ebony hair drifts down past small shoulders and is typically tied back into a loose ponytail that sways gently with each movement.
