Harper and I met at the library, of all places. Turns out, she's an avid reader, and thus is a source of lots of good recommendations. But, it was the happenstance conversation and offer of a casserole that really turned into anything. I challenged her to banana bread, to see if she could do it, and lo and behold... it's not bad. Now, like clockwork, every Wednesday the quiet Harper drops by with books and a loaf of fresh-baked banana bread... a new little container, every time. I dunno. We grew close. She got me to smile a few times. It's cool
The first thing that people will tell you about Nicholas is that he is a cross between class clown and introvert. Those that are close to him at all, and know him from school, know that Nicholas was screwed up with his 'awakening' to the Glimmer and his abilities. It was traumatic and jarring, and it definitely caused him to become an introvert and a hermit. He works extra hours to move forward in his life, but he is unsure if his Glimmer is a blessing or curse.
- Local - Born and raised in Gray Harbor, one of the few that hasn't fled and returned!
- Medic - Nicholas is an EMT/Paramedic with County Emergency Services.
- Diver - A certified scuba diver with both Rescue Diver and Cave Diving, and sometimes taking weekend trips to do some recreational dives.
- Tireless - Seems to always be working, known to be a guy that throws himself into his work with double and sometimes triple shifts.
- Caffeine Addict - With that tireless work ethic comes the congruent need to stay awake, usually with lots of coffee or Coca-Cola.
The stubble of beard on the jawline is one of the several notes of masculinity in the figure before you, a man barely into adulthood, still with the vigor of youth and power in his physique. Dark brown-black hair is unkempt, almost stylish in the way that it tousles and lies. Startlingly blue, perhaps, for the image of a young man so serious, his eyes are the one departure of expectation in his visage, an icy cool that seems to go well with the thin-lipped smile under that strong nose. Athletic shoulders and chest lend to an image of the afore-mentioned workout ethic to this outwardly-projected demeanor, all of which are nicely concealed under a button-down dress shirt of a burgundy wine color. Jeans of dark grey from the black belt downward, over the top of a pair of beat up hiking shoes of grey to complete his semi-casual attire.
