Peyton

Zookeeper: She's recently returned to town and taken a job at the zoo.
Primatology: When she initial left town she went to college for anthropology and ended up specializing in primatology. She's been conducting research in Madagascar since graduation.
Locally "famous": Her mother was a fixture among the Grey Harbor school district, she taught freshman English for a very long time, then eventually also began teaching the Pre-AP and AP Lit classes as well. Many locals might remember Ms. Frances Fitzgerald.

Peyton was born locally, but she didn't stick around after high school. Growing up as the daughter of the renowned English teacher wasn't always easy. Her mother was either well loved, or well hated. Depending on if she flunked someone or not, at least. But it did mean that education was always a primary focus in the Fitzgerald house hold. Peyton was just one among four children, and all four of them went on to have good careers. Only one sibling remained in the area, however, and of course so did mom up until last year.

When Peyton finished highschool she went to college and was studying for an anthropology degree, during that time she realized that as much as she loved that, she also was really interested in the study of current, living primates. Which led her down a different career path than she had ever imagined. She had a dual major so that she could encompass all her passions, and once she graduated she was able to secure a position in a field study group in Madagascar to study the lemur population there. She split her time between working actually out in the field, and time working with the lemur populations in captivity to study the behavioral differences between the two populations.

When her mother passed away she decided that it was time to come back home, although it took her a while to secure herself a position at a zoo in the area. She took the position at the Grey Harbor zoo, taking care of and studying their lemur population.

Since her time away she never really remembered much about home, vague memories, but now that she's home there's an entirely new set of information to explore.

Tall and lanky, she's got long dark hair, bright blue eyes and the athletic frame of someone that is very active. She tends to dress for comfort and practicality, but has a definate sporty vibe to her clothes.
