Comic Books - He's not Ruby but he can direct you to some goodies.

Journalist - Want to talk about things that shouldn't be discussed in polite company? He'll wag his tongue about politics, foreign policy, how one should never get in a land war in Asia, or never go against a Sicilian in a game of death.

ASL (Sign Language) - He knows it, you know for the deaf kids. They like roleplaying too.

Clueless - Do you need someone who would never figure out glimmer or the veil without being outright told by someone they trust. Some hapless victim or passing witness to be awed but not blab about it. This man is your huckleberry.

Raul Santiago was born in Puerto Rico which is not a state in the U.S. but is a territory granting him all the perks of being a US citizen like being able to move to the mainland when he got older. Which he did, but first he grew up on the island in one of the smaller towns away from the major cities and tourist attractions. His father was a fisherman and his mother was a homemaker who sold fish pastries to the local shop on weekends. They were hardworking and very Catholic. They always told Raul that 'God loves Truth'. Aside from hijinks and a tan so baked into his skin, he'll forever have a coppery complexion that was the biggest takeaway from his childhood.

By the time he's graduated from High School, the small Caribbean island can no longer hold his ambitions and he moves to the Mainland to attend school in Seattle with a major in Journalism. God loves Truth and Raul believed that writing and research were the basis of sharing the truth. An idealistic young man he dove into his studies before finding out the truth wasn't necessarily the point of journalism anymore. By his graduating year, he had a deep cynicism in him about truth in general. Whose truth, whose narrative, whose facts? Lucky him he met Ruby who had a decidedly more carefree take on life. A love for comics, stories, outdoorsy things. For the relatively notepad bound journalist she was a breath of fresh air and the start of his own truth. Stories can be true and games make people happy. Why not help people discover their own truths through games, tabletop games, roleplaying games.

Makes sense, he thought.

Really the oddest thing about this everyman is that he has lived in Gray Harbor for several years now with Ruby as her boyfriend and helping hand at the One Up Comics shop... and he still doesn't know about glimmer or the veil or that things are strange around here. Whenever something niggles at his attention he just remembers there's some terrible unnoticed thing going on somewhere else in the world that is totally real and this strange thing is probably just an accident. Right?

Standing just an inch under average height what this man lacks in looks he makes up for in sheer presence and charm when interacting with people. Raul was probably handsome in his prime, a ladies man, but looks have started to fade with age. His black hair is kept short and usually has the finger combed look to it. Black eyes are usually warm and hold just a hint of mischief when he smiles. The coppery color of his skin suggests a Latin ancestry. He’s not as trim as he once was. And some would say he’s acquired a ‘dad bod’. Which is the truth.
