The Fried Fish stand is located on the boardwalk, and has become something of a local staple. The space open to the boardwalk offers a not-quite chest high counter running along the front, stacked with condiments, full napkin dispensers, and plastic flatware during business hours. It's shaded by an awning that is held in place on either side by a long, sturdy dowel, which at closing are removed, enabling the awning to come down and lock up the inside of the shack's customer window. The menu is displayed on a long, rectangular chalkboard running along the back wall of the shack. Inside, the kitchen is neat, clean, and orderly.

So basically, a typical mid-boardwalk eatery. Except for the mermaids. There's a mermaid on the FRIED FISH sign. The dowels supporting the awning have mermaids carved into them. Framed pictures of mermaids are mounted along the sides, not just including various paintings and sketches, but children's drawings as well. All of the branding has mermaids on it, and if the kids seem to love it, some of the adults might get the feeling that all those mermaids are watching them while they enjoy the best fried fish in town.
