WKRW "The Krew" has been around for decades. Originally the station only broadcasted at specific hours for the news and weather as well as to broadcast sports for Addington High. Nowadays, however, it's a full station with 24/7 coverage. In the mornings it's there for your commute with weather, traffic, and news (all local). The afternoons boast top 40 hits. In the evenings your drive home is more traffic, breaking news, and classics to soothe the end of your day.
Overnight is a whole other story. For roughly a decade, Ash Jones has run the station from roughly 10pm to 6am. What he airs varies. Some nights, it's a non-stop block of music (some would swear it's automated and he's not even there). Other nights, he interviews a rotating cast of strange characters. Sometimes he covers news tidbits that (he claims) didn't get enough coverage by local outlets.
There's also been the times he's gone off on wild rants about aliens: sightings, abductions, and other theories.
Whatever it might be, Ash's overnight block is surprisingly popular and it's kept him not only in his position for years, but allowed him to purchase partial ownership in the station.
The station has the full staff you can expect for a small town radio. A few DJs, a producer or two, a receptionist. Some people pull double-duty in their roles.
