Hardwood floors and shelves upon shelves of books combine with the exposed brick and long narrow interior combine to create a somewhat dim space that can feel a little bit chlaustrophobic at times, for those who are not so comfortable with the close quarters between sections, and the floor to ceiling shelves. There are books on all manner of subjects, all organized into sections. At the front of the long narrow building there is a desk and a register where a clerk sits whenever the shop is open.
The books themselves range in topics from anthropology to zoology and everything in between. There are paperbacks and hardcovers, as well as a section at the back that contains DVDs and Blu-Rays. Several best-sellers are on display near the front of the shop in their own little stands.
And then there is a spiral staircase that leads up to the loft area which is marked "Occult, Spiritual, and Metaphysical" and that area seems to contain a little lounge with couches and chairs around woven rugs where one might sit. On the lower level, there are a few armchairs scattered here and there between the shelves, offering a little privacy if one wishes to peruse their purchases. There is no food or drink served in the shop.
