Bauer Building - Unit 413 (Chico)

While portions of the building may be in a state of disrepair, the studio apartments have been lovingly restored. Natural light floods the space during the day, and at night there's a nice view of the water and the forest on the other side. The walls have been painted a soft gray shade, with white accents on the wainscoting and dentil trim that run the length of the L shaped space. The original Chantilly parquet flooring has an almost mirror finish, and a resistant seal to protect it from damage.

A small kitchenette runs along either side of the entryway, with what may well be original white tile countertops and cabinets. The sink is a simple porcelain affair, chipped and well loved, and the refrigerator is older, but freshly cleaned and painted to match the narrow stovetop.

The living space, large enough for both a 'living room' and a 'bedroom', is decorated with a mid-century Modern flare, lots of freshly reupholstered and restored old furniture that's found new life in a slightly eclectic but cozy set up. A couch, loveseat and a coffee table.

The bed is partially obscured from the rest of the space with art deco room dividers that do absolutely nothing for privacy, but look very pretty with their geometric patterns from floor to ceiling. The bed frame is old, though the mattress and bedding are new, the same soft gray as the apartment itself. There's a large, floor-to-ceiling mirror along the wall next to the bed.

The bathroom holds an old clawfoot tub large enough for a full grown adult to soak, and the colors in this room are the same soft gray and white, with the original glass and brass art deco fixtures on the walls on either side of the mirror. The shower curtain is a darker gray.
