Saffron & Silk

Saffron and Silk is a unique sort of clothing shop- the proprietress an expert on fashion. Many of the designs are inspired by traditional Asian clothing trends, with a decidedly western flare. Silk features heavily in these designs- from suits for men to dresses for women. In many ways, the store seems more an art gallery than a retail space- with the most expensive options behind glass.

Still, on offer are less expensive fashion options from various designers for those who are more budget conscious. The retail space is divided by color, as opposed to along gender lines- with the more eye catching reds and yellows in the front and cooler blues and purples near the back. There are a couple of changing rooms, featuring full length mirrors on the left side of the store. Behind the counter a door marked 'Employees Only' leads to a fitting room, and Parvati's private workshop.

Therein is a very large area, often with various partially completed works hanging on body-shaped mannequins. There is a kitchenette here with a rather fancy coffee maker that uses 'pods' to offer various flavors. A sitting area, fridge, and range complete the area- employees and select clientele welcome to rest here. In the far corner a spiral staircase leads up to locked door, marked *PRIVATE*
