Though not exactly a new business, this local fixture pawn shop isn't the old and dim, dusty business it once was. It seems to have been fairly recently refurbished and rebuilt after a fire and it's cleaner than others might remember it being over the decades under other Winslow management. The shop floor is wide with wood walls and sealed stone flooring, and it spans nearly the whole first level of the property. Plenty of merchandise, cases, and shelving break up the space to make it a bit of a treasure maze, though the term 'treasure' is fairly subjective given the run of items available. There's some level of organization to the layout despite the perceived jumble, and prize pieces of art and instruments hang on walls above and behind the glass coin and jewelry and trinket cases.
The front of the store next to the main entry has a barred security pass-through window for overnight emergency cash exchanges when the shop floor itself is closed, as well as a buzzer for request that no doubt rings to the apartment above as well as the shop. On the back wall, towards a corner, there's one door that locks and leads to the loft staircase and business office. It has a shadowed window with security inlaid metal grate between the panes and the glass reads: BUSINESS OFFICE. And below that, there's a paper tacked to clarify in capital letters: NO BATHROOMS ON SITE, EMPLOYEES ONLY.
