Surrounded by trees, the road out of Gray Harbor is one long, lonely stretch of highway lit at night only by the grace of the moon on a clear night, when it is able to break through the overhead canopy of trees. Other times it's darker than dark, interspersed only by headlights of any vehicle happening to go in or out of town. A curve here is lined by a guard rail and a steep cliff where many an accident has been had over the years. While the road is smooth and well cared for by the county, the stripes bright, no potholes, the area is called Dead Man's Curve for a good reason. There's a small pull off on either side of the curve where people are known to come and explore the area. This area is out of the town proper and there are few businesses and only sporadic houses, mostly abandoned.
