Repose - Vault

'The Vault' is a long, concrete half cylinder, with the very peak of the ceiling being about fifteen feet above the floor, a criss-cross hatchwork of bulbs lighting the space in a way not too not dissimilar to Viktor's loft. The only different is down here they are not fairy lights, and the bulbs are not colored at all. In fact, they're regular household bulbs, hanging from far thicker cables than you'd use to decorate a Christmas tree. The floor is well laid with vinyl, an ashy wood pattern running the full length of the space, even if two thirds of it is paneled off with wooden dividers, cut to match the curvature of the walls. There's one three-seater brown couch with comfortable looking cushions flanked by an end table and a standing lamp with three lights, one two-seater to match, and a comfortable looking love-seat with ottoman. They obviously came as a set, and actually work pretty well with the refurbished coffee table and thrift store rug that marks this area as a place of comfort.

Directly across from there is a kitchen area, the bulbs from the ceiling hanging lower over here than in the rest of the space. Counters, sink, oven, microwave and a fridge. It actually, when you consider it, looks a little better equipped than the cabin above. There's even a proper dining table off to one side and a makeshift counter-table for two nearer the kitchen. So, yeah, it's a second home. Underground. That's not weird.
