From the outside, WKRW is a squat, brown building that is dwarfed by the antenna and massive radio dish that sit beside and behind (respectively) it. The parking lot wraps around the front and opposite side, but is almost never full. The back corner hosts a couple benches for smoker purgatory. The lobby of the station sticks out from the rest of the building in an attempt to be inviting: glass-front walls bearing a classic neon sign in yellow shaped into the letters 'WKRW' and above it, a more delicate neon sign in blue with the station's eldritch logo.
The lobby usually has just one person staffing the broad desk. There are a few sofas, free drinks (sodas and teas in addition to the usual coffee and water). One wall has a television, but mostly the art is from the station and events it has been involved in over the decades. Concerts, big tournaments for the local schools, and a few notable news items.
Further back in the station, one can find offices, a couple conference rooms, a small kitchen, and even an office that has been converted into a night suite with a couple bunk beds, couches, and an older television with vintage game systems. It is, unsurprisingly, the messiest of the rooms. However, it's also not the focus. The broadcasting space takes up most of the station: producer's array on one side with a soundproofed window into the booth itself. The booth is mildly claustrophobic (especially if there's more than a few people in there) and is clearly used by multiple people. There's rolling shelves, tables, and every imaginable surface is covered with debris. Notes, tapes, CDs, forgotten coffee cups and food wrappers. It is a space that is so often in use, it almost never gets properly cleaned. But it is, at its heart, a well-loved space.
