Ascending the staircase leads to a small landing and a door that can be locked. A small brass plaque in the same style as the one at the bottom of the stairs says 'Private'. Through the door is a living room that looks very much like a normal and mundane living room that any average family might dwell in. The same can be said of the rest of the upstairs. It is a completely ordinary if large family apartment with a kitchen, living room, small dining room, three bedrooms, and two baths. Despite being in a funeral home there is nothing creepy or sinister about it.
