A-Frame 01

Exterior:

The first A frame cabin in the neighborhood sits back a bit, close to the woods. Small bushes and hedges are planted in front, giving it a real rustic feel. A small set of wooden steps that lead up to the deck style porch. Set upon the porch, next to the door, is a covered grill. The house is made of weathered timber wood and looks to be rather old. The front door is painted white and has a window, which is currently draped with a dark curtain from inside. An old fashioned shingled overhang is built above it. On either side of the door is a window, it's frames painted deep red. Heavy plaid curtains are hung from the inside. Another window looks out from the loft. This one is smaller and rectangular. Above the window hangs a decorative, circular plaque with a blue flower.

Downstairs:

Inside, one can see that this is very old cabin. The floors, at least, have been updated. Probably sometime in the '80's or '90's in laminate. The living room floor is beige, laminate tiles, decorated in a homey, country pattern. The walls are of aged, warmly varnished wood, sloping and coming to a point above. Against the right wall is an old beige sofa. Definitely vintage. Probably a relic of the '60's or '70's. It looks very comfy, however with two square pillows, covered in white and gold brocade. A bright yellow blanket is draped over the side. Covering the floor in front of the sofa is rectangular, plain white rug. In the middle of the room is a big old rocking chair. There is no question that this piece of furniture is vintage. Made of wood, it is also upholstered in white brocade with a dark red country pattern. A big, matching square foot stool is placed in front of it. Next to that is a small wooden side table. It looks to be handmade. Against the left wall is a wooden stand with a ROKU tv. Next to them is a wide ladder that leads up to the loft.

In the back of the cabin is the kitchen area. The laminate floor back here is different from in the living room. In here, it is the kind that looks like fake wood. Entering the area, on the left side, is a small , non portable kitchen island, made of wood. Two matching bar bar stools are placed in front of it, facing the kitchen. In the kitchen are stained wooden cabinets topped with counters of formica. There is a small double sink in the back, with a window above it, providing extra light on sunny days. There is a small range and oven, as well as a microwave, toaster and toaster oven. There is even a small Keurig. In the middle of the kitchen is vintage style formica table from the 1950's with matching chairs.

To the left is an an antique door with a window covered by a thick lace curtain. Through the door is the bathroom with a pedestal sink and antique claw foot tub/shower combo.

Loft:

In the very top of the cabin is the loft bedroom. Everything up here is of old, varnished dark wood. The floors, walls. A faint scent of ceder is in the air, as well. An antique ceiling lamp hangs down from the middle beam, casting a soft glow when it is turned on. The bed is placed in the middle of the back wall, directly under the small, rectangular window that looks out over the front. It is made up entirely in white. Crisp, white cotton sheets and pillow cases. A fluffy white duvet covers it. On the floor in front of the bed is an old oriental throw rug, decorated with a red pattern. Next to the bed, on the left, is a small bedside table with a drawer. A vase of delicate dried flowers sits atop it. Built upon the right wall is a small shelf. Atop it are a small collection of books, mostly fiction novels. On the floor under that is a small space heater/air conditioner. There is just enough room left in the space for a comfortable chair, upholstered in chocolate velvet and a small dresser/vanity.
