Familiar enough to those that know Gray Harbor, this "city" is just different enough to fall into the uncanny valley: the mind knows this place, but it's off in an unsettling way. The quaintness of the real downtown is lost to strangeness here. Even just standing still, the landscape shifts and alters, so that what one saw a moment ago - what one touched or smelled or interacted with a moment ago - may melt into something entirely new.
