2019-05-25 - Pre-Date Jitters

Mariah had worked the schedule around to where she was out by five today. She had rushed home and started to get ready. Not sure what to wear really.

Thirty minutes later, there are clothes all over the bed, chair and she’s trying to fold up what she didn’t choose. Which half of her closet and dresser looked like it had been thrown up all over the room. She’s standing in front of the mirror looking at herself, checking her makeup for the fiftieth time when she could swear she hears something.

She moves over to the door, giving a look down the hallway, “Tonight is not the night to knock things over and break them before I leave.” she calls out to her cat. “Momma’s got a date. Don’t destroy the house while I’m gone.” she chuckles.

There was a bit of nervousness about going on a date, especially with someone that didn’t frequent the bar as much as others. Was he going to like her personality outside of the atmosphere? Was she going to trip on her face and have to deal with humiliation? They were certainly going to find out.

She checks her makeup once more, adjusts a few locks of her long angelic looking hair and then heads out to the living room. She grabs a pair of heels from the closet and tosses them on, a few more inches wouldn’t hurt tonight! Then it’s the waiting...she hated the waiting, but it allowed her to get her nerves under control while she was waiting for Nathaniel to get there.
