The evening was clear and cloudless. That must be stressed because it so very seldom was clear out! Lyric is taking advantage of it and doing one of the only free things there is to do in town to occupy oneself and that's taking a walk along the rocky beach. At the moment she's squatted and checking out a few shells that have washed up onto the beach and are partially buried in the sand. For now she has something that looks like a shark tooth, a small but colorful shell and what looks to be a part of a sand dollar.

Some days are better than others, some are great, and some are rather bad. That's the rollercoaster of recovering. This evening seems to be one of the at least okay ones for Jonathan, as he makes his way along the beach as well, humming a little as he walks. He hasn't noticed Lyric yet, although his steps take him over in her general direction.

As if sensing someone else, Lyric turns a little to look behind her. The handsome face of Jonathan is seen and she looks down towards the things she has in her hands. Tucking a few of them away in her hoodie pockets she rises to her feet and tucks the sand dollar piece away also. She knows him, recognizes him. Remembers what they did. She tucks her hands into her back pockets before approaching him. "Hi Jonathan." The greeting holds a hesitance as if she's not sure how to act around him.

Jonathan may not remember every detail, due to the state he was in, but he remembers most of it. So as he hears the greeting, he comes to a stop, looking to see who spoke. When he sees who it is, he offers a smile. "Oh, hey..." he offers, taking a few steps over in her direction. There's a bit of hesitation in his steps as well. Seems like there's more than one person not being entirely sure of how to act right now. "How... how are you?"

Well, this was awkward. Lyric wasn't sure if he would even remember what happened, he had been out of it. She'd had a few drinks but she remembered everything in full detail. Her eyes lower to his hands and she ducks her head, remembering too much. When she lifts it again, her cheeks are a little pink but she seems more confident. "I'm doing great. How about you? It's been a while since I saw you." Since the winter to be exact.

"Better than yesterday, which is a good thing," Jonathan replies, offering a brief smile, before he lets out a bit of a breath. "It's been a bit of a rollercoaster, though. But that's how it is." He nods again at the last part. "It has. Some months, right? I can't remember exactly when, I'm afraid."

Lyric winces a little and looks back out towards the water. "I'm so forgettable hm?" But when she turns back to face him she is wearing a smile. "I'm happy you are doing better today than yesterday. I guess it was another bad day for you?" Her hands remain in her pockets but she tilts her head to study him. "We don't have to talk about what happened and all, especially if you're embarrassed about it. And regret it and all. We were both drunk and all, so it probably shouldn't have happened."

Jonathan grimaces momentarily as he hears that. "You're not that forgettable. The precise dates back then, however..." It's said a bit quietly, before he nods. "Yesterday was... Let's just say it was not a good day at all?" Another brief pause as he studies her for a few moments. "Embarrassed and regret? Not really." A brief pause, before he adds, "I'm not entirely sure what to say, but I don't regret it happening."

"I don't know what to say either but yes, it was this winter. You had a bad day and I kinda feel like I may have taken advantage of it. I hope not though." Lyric gives him another tentative smile and holds out a hand for a fist bump. "We can get past it and still be friends though right?"

"A bad day... Been a few of those, but that's how it is..." Jonathan replies, before he offers a smile. "I'm sure there are worse ways someone could have taken advantage of it." As she holds out the hand, he offers that fist bump in return. "Of course we can."

"Maybe your days can start getting better. I don't know if mine ever will either but we can sure keep hoping for them." Lyric lowers her hand after fist bump and puts it back into her pocket. "I should go home for now, I was just out for a walk. I'm glad we ran into each other though. It's good we talked."

Jonathan nods as he hears that. "Hopefully there'll be better days for both of us. I'm sure we could use them." There's a brief smile, before he adds, "If you ever need to talk, unless it's one of those days I need to hide away curled up in a dark room, I'll listen," he offers. "I'm glad we ran into each other as well."

"You too, if you ever need to talk, you can call me. Even if you're at home curled up in a dark room and have more thoughts in your head that you don't know what to do with. You can talk to me." Lyric gives him another smile. "And I'll call you if I ever need to talk."

"Sounds good," Jonathan replies, with a smile. Glancing out into the distance for a few moments, before he looks back to her.

"Take care Jonathan. I'll see you later." A smile is given to him again before Lyric picks her way over some rocks and heads in the general direction of the trailer park.
