Father: She's never known her dad. Not even his name. Were you with Molly Bates some 23-24 years ago?
Musician: She can sing, she can dance, she can play the guitar. But can she do all three at the same time?
Townie: Foster families, maybe your family took her in at some point? She's been raised by the whole town mostly, since she was a youngin.
Trailer Upbringing: Her mother Molly Bates tried. Kind of. But she still had no idea who was Lyric's father. No one knows. No one claims her either. Her mother was killed when Lyric was pretty young. Probably over money. Or drugs. Or sex. The three are interchangeable.
Glimmer: From a pretty young age she's been aware of it and is trying to learn it better. As it is, the shadows or something in them speaks to her. So she speaks back.
Jane-of-all-Trades: Master of none. Though she does fancy herself pretty damn adept at mechanicin'.
Band: She's in a band!
Music: Music equals happiness. Especially songs that have lyrics with meaning. Anything that touches her she memorizes and sometimes hums a little off key when she finds herself bored.

The product of the state. Born into poverty, Lyric did have a mother who loved music and had the biggest aspirations to be a musician herself. Except she wasn't really that good. Oh she had guy after guy meet her at karaoke and tell her she was and she'd of course take them back to the trailer with her and listen to the compliments all night long.
Not exactly the best childhood for a girl, all the guys going in and out of the trailer. But she had her pretend friends who would come visit her and play with her while her mother was shouting to God in the other room. She'd hide beneath her bed and pretend she was invisible and whisper her secrets to Lizzy. Lizzy was the best friend she could have. Except she also came with shadow people and sometimes in her dreams. Lizzy always tried to protect her from all the bad things. Being hungry when her momma was gone for a few days at a time. Trying to find water when theirs was shut off. When the power was off they'd hum songs together and make up their own words to other songs.
One night a shadow man came for her mom. It was like she was dreaming, she could hear everything, the man saying she owed him money and then beating her up. Her mom was crying but Lizzy made sure they hid. Hid from everything and everyone, but outside this time, in the hole in the skirting of the trailer, hiding beneath it. Then the bad guy left and when they went inside, her mother was gone and Lyrics room was all broken. Her drawers, her bed, her carpet. It was all broken. Everything was.
It wasn't long until the Department of Human Services got involved and took her, placing her with foster parents. Lizzy came too. Eventually, she came to need Lizzy less and less, she was part of that glimmer. Somehow. Lyric was able to move things sometimes, just with her mind. She's still learning and she knows there is so much more to learn ahead of her, but she knew she had to do it. Or go crazy trying.
Since she was young she was a loner, even in a crowd of people she felt alone or like an outcast. She has always planned to leave town eventually, especially now that she was of age, but something keeps her there. Or something. Since she was in her mid-teens she taught herself music and dancing and singing, even used one of her foster dads to teach her mechanicin'. She's a Jane-of-all-trades but expert at nothing, having so many jobs that she doesn't stay at long. Actually, she's pretty damn good at turning a wrench. Just ask her!
Topping her 5'6" height, is white blonde hair with a couple of varying colors interspersed throughout in the palest of hues, framing a defined feminine face with high cheekbones, arched brows, thick lashes and light blue eyes that alternately hold a host of emotions. Her frame is slim with somewhat generous curves in the right places.
A pair of faded jeans with low waist is paired with a soft, fitted black t-shirt with short sleeves. In white lettering, it says: I'm 99% Sure That I'm a Disney Villain. Her feet are covered with black Converse with white laces.
