Addington Park has a carnival atmosphere this weekend with gaudily colored tents arranged in a horseshoe shape upon the grounds. The large tent at the base of the ‘u’ is for performance pieces; rows of canvas seats facing a slightly raised stage. Mobile gas heaters set up to keep attendees warm.

The north arm of the ‘u’ is where tents/stalls have been set up for residents to sell their arts and crafts. The tents can contain two to three sellers though some have set up solo presentations. Sellers include, but are not limited to: Abitha’s retro gaming systems; Griselda Darkmoon’s ‘Doll Face’...get your face on a doll; Murray Smith’s ‘Awesome Art’...paintings while you wait; Sunny Day’s ‘Boutique Bongs’..homemade custom bongs; ‘Fat Tony’s Auto Shop’...custom detailing for vehicles; ‘Fried McFriedFace...Scottish cuisine van who will fry anything you desire (that fits in the fryer), and many more.

The south arm of the ‘u’ is more of a Sideshow Alley operation where entertainment is the name of the game. Though the main tent of the Miracle Circus won’t show up until the second day, some of their acts have already hit the sideshow row.

The open end of the ‘u’ is where the ice rink has been set up. It is not huge, but it is safe(ish). Circular shape with a three-foot high barrier around it and two doors to enter and leave. Ice skates are available for a nominal fee.

An addition for today is the (small) Big Top that has been set up next to the ice rink for Miracle Circus to perform. This also means some new additions to Sideshow Alley, like a Mirror Maze and a Terror Train.

The Saturday of WinterFest means there are a lot more children around - hence the addition of the circus. Families milling around all the arts and crafts stalls, checking out Sideshow Alley, trying to avoid the clowns that wander around handing out red balloons - they need to get a new promotions director.

Park, rugged up against the cold by wearing tights, mini-skirt, a fake-fur lined jacket, and a Pokemon beanie, is chewing on some prime Scottish cuisine - fried candy bar. She will be playing on the performance stage later and hopefully it will go as well as the previous night.

Beth is at Winterfest, bundled up in a navy blue peacoat and gray sparkly scarf, standing in line to Fried McFriedFace waiting for some fried mars bars and fried oreos because why else leave your warm house if not for things that are bad for you but now with frying action! She already has something warm in a styrofoam cup in hand that she sips on occasionally. It may have been doctored by the flask tucked in the folds of her peacoat.

Beth has been spotted by a Park! "Ms. Lawson!" the Korean-American grins before rushing over to hug the other woman. "So glad you could come! Thanks so much for the donation. I'll announce it when I'm on stage soon so that everyone knows. I told everyone about Byron's golden shower last night so I hope people will see him now as the generous soul he is. Do you want naming rights to the food area? I was thinking, 'Lawson Eating Row - one more bite before you bite it'. Something like that. What do you think?"

Beth looks a little surprised when Park rushes over to hug her. She pats the younger woman a few times on the back. Pat pat. Her lips twitch upwards with amusement. "Well, normally we try not to make death puns to the public, but it's better than golden showers so we'll take it." The funeral director says sincerely as the line moves forward a touch. Her chin lifts ever so slightly to watch a red balloon float up towards the clouds. Apparently a clown lost his balloon somewhere.

"Oh...no death puns. Got it" Park nods solemnly before her grin is back. "You could always do life puns. You could call yourself 'Happy Endings'. Oh...wait...there's already a retirement home called that. Forget that idea. Hey, do you need a theme tune or something? I could do that for nothing since you were so kind to help us out." Distracted by the red balloon herself, Park frowns in sympathy for the clown...or child...who is now a little sadder about life. "Have you found anything you liked in the crafts?"

"Happy endings..." Beth repeats while maintaining a straight face. She says, "You know what? Death puns are fine. You should say something like 'The only things certain in life are death and taxes. Head over to Lawson's funeral home to pre-plan your funeral today." She smiles graciously, "That's so kind of you to offer. I'll think on it, okay? We may make another commercial soon." She watches as the red balloon climbs higher. "The dolls are cool. I might order one for my boyfriend's daughter. What is your favorite stall?" She tears her gaze away from the sky when the balloon vanishes to look back at Park.

Hera had found her leather jacket, or she managed to get another one. It's not quite thick enough for full fledged winter, but she wears a knit shirt underneath. This time her hair is flat ironed to give it more of a straight looking appearance, and she walks with a stronger and more confident stride than before. Her purse is flung over her shoulder and in her right hand is a leash with her dutiful German Shepherd close by. "Mac should be at her booth." She tells Kim, "And I hope to see Abby again, oh!" she speaks to her friend, "You really need to pick some of your best pieces to display, and the band last night was just really really good. The hostess was so sweet. I wonder if some of the same artists are showing off their stuff from last night too." She grins over at Grace and says, "Your jacket looks amazing" she then gets to thinking, "Grace, have you met my cousin Devlin? He recently just passed his certification test. I guess he's off working too hard again."

Grace is wearing warm clothing underneath a leather jacket of her own. Smiling to Hera, "Thanks! Yours too." A smile and wave offered to Kim as well. As for Devlin, she shakes her head. "Not that I know." Looking around as if she would spot him. "What does he do?" Is asked curiously. Taking a moment to look around the place. Winston is lead along as well, keeping Hans company.

Whistling to himself as he steps through the park and the happenings there, Scott looks quite carefree. He's wearing comfortable warm clothes as he looks around, nodding and smiling to those he sees that he knows.

Hera pauses to look down at her cellphone for a moment. Making sure Kim and Grace are ok for a bit, she shoots off a text. It takes a bit since she has a dog leash in hand.

Kim had to stop at her place to get dressed up. Black on the top flowing down to purple dress, white stockings, and a pair of black heels with bows on the back. A black frilly umbrella in one hand and her small purse in the other. "We will have to drop by her booth later after looking at some of the others." yeah playing it cool until "Is my make-up okay? Not too much right. Ah anyway Abby seemed nice as much as I can recall anyway. It would be nice to see her again and apologize to her too. I hope the have a good band tonight and I'll pick out some pieces soonish." glancing over and giving Grace a warm smile and small wave "Good to see you could make it. That jacket is adorable."

"I should pre-plan my funeral" Park nods sagely. "Can you do fancy ones? Like, a Pokemon one? And I'd want a party. Nothing morose. Celebrate my life not honor my death...or something. 'Doll Face' seems pretty cool. Where you can get your face on a doll." People to greet! "One second." Park leaves Beth in the queue for fried goodness and launches herself at Hera and company. "Oh my gosh, you all look soooo good" she grins. And here come the hugs. "I'm Mee...or Park. Thank you for coming. I hope you have a good time and see all the amazing things that this city makes. Oh, this is Beth Lawson..." She indicates Beth and then spots Scott to wave at him. "And that's Scott. He plays keyboards in the band I'm in. He's awesome. Everyone's awesome! Oh my gosh, cute doggies!"

Grace beams to Kim, "Thanks. And you look great as well. I like the dress." She offers in turn. "You look great." She assures her fellow companion. Glancing to Hera as well, letting her handle her phone for a moment. Looking to Park with a smile, "Thanks!" Hugging Mee in turn. "I hope to." Waving to Scott and Beth as well. "Thank you, this is Winston." Gesturing to her tiny dog, "That's Hans." Said about the one lead by Hera. "And I'm Grace. That's Kim and Hera." Introducing the other two.

"I can do whatever you want that's legal." Beth says to Park with a broad smile. "You can have a Pokemon Party if that's what you want." And then off Park goes, but it's perfect timing because it's Beth's turn to receive a fried Mars bar. She pays for her sweet and moves out of the way in the periphery of Park, Hera, Kim, and Grace. "Hi Hera." She says when she's introduced since she's met Hera before. The others get a friendly smile and nod of her head. The fried candy bar is picked up and bitten into, and Beth covers her mouth as melted chocolate nearly runs down her chin.

Hera blushes a bit and tells Park, "Yes, Grace makes me look good." she is always proud of show off her friends and then comments about Kim, "And she makes me look exotic so together we are, exotic beauty!" certainly she wouldn't miss out on the opportunity to compliment them. "I'm glad you didn't mind the dogs. Hans is the best security expert I can have. Thank you so much for making this event so wonderful. I really needed to fun time yesterday and the music was great." Hans watches the strange hooman and goes to wagging his tail. She does wave over at Beth and says, "Hi! Have you met Kim and Grace?" Then she mentions, "Oh, someone else may be joining us soon, it'll be fun!"

Huh? Someone waved at him? As he sees who it is, he grins, waves in return to Park and the other one that waved, heading over in the direction of the group of people now. "Hello," he offers after a few moments of pause.

Grace does nudge Hera in turn, "You're too sweet." She offers before grinning. Then looking between them, having heard some about all this but not having been around the night before. "Oh, who?" Is asked, though she will just greet and wave to those being introduced to her.

Kim seems a little uncomfortable in being given a hug by a stranger, but accepts it and manages one in return "Thanks, nice to meet you eh do you prefer Mee or Park?" looking over to where she is pointing out others, giving Bethan and Scott a wave "I love your beanie. So very kawaii." being already introduced she skips that part. Smiling at Grace breaking the hug "Oh you do? It is one of favorite and thanks sometimes I need a little reassured." before a giving a blush at Hera's comment "Happy I can help Hera. Oh doesn't that look good?" her eyes on the fried treat "I haven't one of those in ssooo long. I really shouldn't even be tempted though."

"Oh please, you make you look good" Park grins to Hera. "I'm glad you had a good time last night. Do it again! Oh, the circus is in town now too, so don't be alarmed by all the clowns. Why would I care about the dogs?" She steps back to look them over. "Yep, totally all beautiful. You could be like the Charlie's Angels of Gray Harbor. Gray's Angels! Probably better than Harbor Angels." A big grin at Kim. "So nice to see another Asian. There are so few of us. Have you met, Kai? Not that we all know each other or anything like that. Mee is my name but I don't mind if you use Park." A huge grin at the compliment to her beanie. "It's cool, right? We are going to be such awesome friends, Kim. One day of fried food can't hurt. Scott...we should do some songs for these wonderful people. We might have to make today an open mic night. Like, musicians, comedians, dancers...not that they need a mic." She looks back at all the other women. "Any of you want to perform?"

Hera pockets her phone and waves toward Scott. Seems like today is a good day to make friends. At the mention of looking good she blushes, "Thank you, you're very kind." Then she takes her fingers and snaps them, "That's it, we're Gray's Angels! Kim will be like Lucy Liu, but, who is going to be Cameron Diaz or Drew Barrymore? Or better yet we can just remake the whole angels thing. We need to figure out our roles though, like who has what speciality and Hans and Winston can be our spies." At the mention of performing she pauses, "Uhm, I well, I don't know." Where did the redhead's confidence go? It doesn't go far, does it?

Beth watches and listens to the conversation while munching on her fried Mars bar. She stops on occasion to lick chocolate from her fingers and take a swig from her probably doctored hot chocolate. As Hera calls Kim exotic her brow furrows just a bit. She shoves more Mars bar into her mouth and chews. Finally, as Gray's Angels is discussed, she lifts a brow. "Uh...does she have anything in common with Lucy Liu's character besides for being Asian?" She pops the bottom half of the Mars bar in her mouth. "I think I'll pass on the performing, but thanks for the offer."

Kim does a small and cute giggle at the thought of being Gray's Angels. "I think we'd have to remake it. I try to avoid too much vinyl or latex. They do unkind things to my skin." replying to Hera seeing her flatter a bit "I think you'd great. Maybe if I get a few in me I could try my hand. I wouldn't want to scare off everyone here though." ending her thought in a wink. She smiles at Park "Yeah Mee I haven't seen to many other Asians in town. I can't say I have meet anyone named Kai, though I've been in town for less than a week." giving a shrug "I guess a little bit of fried food can't hurt too much. It is completely cool I don't have any little it but I do have my favorite plush pikachu."

Scott smiles. "Hello everyone, I'm Scott," he introduces himself. Pausing as he listens to the talk about Gray's Angels, he hmms at what's said. He also grins at Park. "That sounds like a good idea. Helping others enjoy performing."

Hera couldn't blush anymore if she tried so her cheeks are a nice rosy red, rose rose rosy. "Uhm." Beth does pose a bit of a loaded question and she tries to think of a quick response to that, "She will be our computer expert for the team, yeah, that's it!" Still doesn't explain just /why/ she should be the Lucy Liu character. But Scott is there, what a distraction to save her from further embarassment. She introduces herself to the man, "Hera, nice to meet you." She says, holding her dog in one hand and figuratively holding her embarassment in the other.

Grace snickers about Gray's Angels, "Sounds good to me. I think you would be the leader, and marksmen." Teasing her a little. Pondering a bit more, not knowing Kim that well yet. "I am sure we can find good outfits." Smiling to Park about Kai, "I've run into her. She's nice." Waving to Scott, "Hi Scott, I'm Grace." Looking to Beth, "Not sure. Don't remember much on Lucy Liu though." Shrugging some. "But think she was thinking cosplay style. And if so, I guess Hera would be Barrymore." Redhead and whatnot.

"Less than a week? Then welcome to Gray Harbor!" Park grins...and Kim will get another hug. "You could always do the new Charlie's Angels or, you know, do your own thing. Since it will be the Gray's Angels. You would look great in latex, Kim. Okay, I'm going to head to the stage and get everything set-up for playing to you wonderful people." With a skip in her step, Park literally skips towards the main stage, deftly avoiding balloon bearing clowns.

Finally managing to get away from work for a few hours - a reporter never stops for the weekend - Jessica weaves her way through the crowd as if she is looking for someone. She really should have set up a meeting spot. Leather jackets seem to be the order of the day (https://ilarge.lisimg.com/image/15035096/1118full-sarah-shahi.jpg) though she has it done up against the cold. Though, as the steam rising off people shows, the crowd is quite warm. And there are gas heaters every now and then.

Beth dumps her paper basket into the trash. She goes "Huh" at the explanation offered, and when Park dismisses herself to go up to the stage she says, "I'm going to find a place to sit. Nice meeting you all." She smiles politely before she also heads off in that direction, presumably to find somewhere to sit down near a warm heater with her spiked hot cocoa.

Hera doesn't know if she stepped into a rhetoric situation that might have wrecked her or not. She just ahems for the time being and goes to scratch Hans behind the ears. It's then that she manages to spot Jessica in the distance and waves in her direction. When she notices everyone drinking cocoa she wonders, "Maybe I should get something to drink. I don't know if I should try it spiked though, whoa boy."

"Hai, watashi wa tashika ni konpyuta no senmonkadesu." Kim replies to Hera's answer. Hera is her friend after all and she wouldn't leave her too hanging "But I think Grace is right more of a cosplay thing. But we'll form our own right?" before getting another hug from Park "Thanks and I look forward to hearing your performance." She gives wave to Beth "It was good to meet you."

Scott smiles, "It's nice to meet you all." There's a brief pause as he looks to Park, and he offers her a grin. "Got the keyboards set up already," he offers, before he looks around at the others as well. "Something to drink is always a good thing," he offers as he hears Hera's words, before he adds, "If you wanted my recommendation, that is."

Jessica manages to spot the waving hand and makes her way over with lots of 'excuse me' and 'pardon' - at least she is polite when pushing through crowds. Beth she has met, so she gets a smile and a wave before Jessica reaches Hera and her friends. "Hi" she greets Hera, perhaps a little nervous. "Oh, this is the fearsome dog. Yeah...I can see how this one guards you." She will offer the back of her hand to the animal to sniff and show she's not a danger. "I'm Jessica" she smiles to the others.

Hera looks very clueless at what Kim says and then looks a little relieved when she switches to English. "Forming our own, that's the name of the game." She offers Jessica a smile and shows Hans a particular gesture, "That's right." She tells Jessica and watches her 'guard' slowly pad over to her. "He likes scratches behind the ears. If you like, you can pet him so he can recognize your scent." She looks back at her and says, "Your jacket looks fabalous." Seems as if leather jackets are the most fashionable thing this evening.

Grace nods agreeingly about forming their own. Waving to Beth as she leaves. Then looking over to Jessica as she joins them. Winston does come over to sniff some at Jessica as well, when she greet Hans. Grace just smile to the others. "So, who would each of us be?" She asks Kim. Giving a wave to Park and Scott, if they seem to be setting up for music.

Park nods excitedly to Scott about the keyboards being ready. "I was thinking of doing 'Put Out or Shut Out'. I might give all the girls in the crowd something to think about. Or have their ears covered." All the tents are open to the world so when she takes the mic, she is easy to hear.

"Hello, everyone. Thanks for coming along tonight. I also want to give a shout out to Beth Lawson from the Lawson Funeral Home, who helped support our little festival. It's never too early to be prepared. I got an e-mail saying, 'At Google Earth, we can read maps backwards!' and I thought... 'That's just spam.'" After waiting for the silence to stop, she adds, "If anyone wants to perform, then please come on up. And don't forget to enjoy the circus."

"HAH!", comes a bark of laughter in the silence after that GMaps joke. "Spam! SPAM!! Because... hee... because, y'see... maps! Right? Maps! But backwards! Oh! Ahahaha!", says James, in between peals of giggles and snorts. Look, James has been here for a little bit. He was just kind of, y'know, overlooked. Easy enough to do, at his height. He's been wandering about the booths, snacking, and quietly getting real damn high off of his weed vape every chance he's gotten. Which may explain why his funny bone seemed so particularly tickled by the, uh... joke. Still giggling to himself, he starts wandering away. "... hee. Spam."]

Kim recalling the last time Hera did some drinking "Maybe you should skip until your body is more recovered." referring to getting or spiking something. When Jessica arrives and offers a greeting she extends her hand "I'm Kim. A pleasure to meet you Jessica." she takes the time to hhmmm at Grace's question "I'm not sure. Certainly we'll have to talk about it and I'll have to learn how to do cool backflips. Did I mishear or earlier did Hera say you were a professional wrestler?" she offhandly listens to Park get ready.

"Thanks" Jessica smiles to the compliment about her jacket. "All of you looks fabulous" she adds in reply to Hera before quickly doing the scratching behind Hans' ears; a little blush to her cheeks. "Hello, Hans." And then another dog to give pats too. "Who would each of you be?" A glance in the direction of the stage and a wince at the joke, though someone seems to enjoy it. Her hand a little messy from the dogs, she will offer it to Kim with an apologetic shrug. She will completely understand if she doesn't want to shake hands anymore. "Nice to meet you, Kim."

"The small one is Winston." Offered from Grace, "And I'm Grace." Greeting her as well. As for Kim's question she blushes but nods, "Trying to." She explains. Taking up her phone, looking at it for a moment before putting it away. Then the smile return. Glancing towards James as well, giving a wave to him.

Scott grins as he moves up to the stage to his keyboards. "Come on, people. Think of it as a special kind of karaoke, or something?" he suggests to the people out there.

Hera spots James in the distance and offers him a wave. She smiles a little at Jessica, not quite knowing if the compliment was for her or for the three of them. "You are very kind." She says then she lets her friends introduce themselves. At the mention of taking things slower she comments, "Yeah, I'm not getting any younger I'm afraid." A bit curious she asks Jessica, "Do you like dogs? He seems to like you."

Kim seems to have no problem with shaking hands after giving the dogs some attention. "A pleasure. It's a nice festival isn't it?" her small talk skills aren't always strong. Looking a little puzzled at Grace's reaction "Even trying to be is cool. It isn't something I could do but I'm sure you would do great. Is the training intense?" though at hearing Hera's response she gives a sigh "I didn't mean it that way. Just you know I worry about you because of the thing that happenned." real smooth, but hey a good time to change the subject "You really should try your hand at singing, you have such a great voice." she may still looking the various booths...for no reason.

James pauses by a stand offering sweet things, still cheerfully giggling to himself, a rare good mood- this is two nights so far where the festival has failed to turn into a horrific nightmare (creepy doll booth notwithstanding). As he pauses, he notices movement that seems to be directed at him, and looks over, catching Grace's wave first and returning it, a casual smile sent her way as he remembers their (almost literal) run-in a while ago. And while looking at her, he notices Hera's wave, and his smile brightens a bit more, waving back. He doesn't move to join them, but he seems happy enough to see them, before looking back at the sweet things nearby. "... come on candy apples, someone's gotta have candy apples..."

Grace smiles to Kim, "Thanks. It's just hard to in a smaller town, but hope it goes well. I'm still learning. And it can be. I do enjoy doing parkour stuff and American Ninja Warrior style. It usually works great." She explains. Looking between Kim and Hera, "Well, having a relaxing day can be nice as well." She agrees. Letting James go about with his own. For now listening to the conversation between the other three near her. Though the call out from the musicians has her glancing their way to cheer some, not about to go up though.

"Hello, Winston" Jessica greets the smaller dog in a normal tone rather than baby-talk; though he does get ruffled ears. It doesn't surprise Jessica that her Hera specific compliment could be misconstrued, it's been a long time. Though, being an investigative reporter means she can pick up the unsaid quite well. "What happened to you, Hera?" she asks with some concern before shrugging at the dog question. "I haven't ever had a dog and I live on a houseboat now. Does Hans like to swim? Where are you from, Grace?"

Hera tries not to let her doubts get the most of her at the mention of singing. "Thanks Kim I, well, just don't know. I don't want to get on stage and make a total fool of myself. Maybe after Mae teaches me somethings about performance but, eh." It might take more encouragement. "Hans hasn't had too many opportunities to swim. The few times I did in Texas I enjoyed it, that was so long ago but they have some nice beaches there. I...." she admits, "Got drunk at the party the other night and, wound up passing out. Figured I could handle my alcohol better. I guess not. Fortunately some dear friends made sure I got home safe and sound. I'm really thankful for that, more than I can possibly say."

Park programs some rhythm tracks - and other instruments - to play since there is only Scott and her up there. She will play the bass live. "This is called 'Put Out or Shut Out'. I hope you like it." It's a thumping little tune.

"Wear so much make-up you can't see my face,/Will only wear panties if they're covered in lace,/Skirt so short I need a Brazilian,/Posting risque selfies by the million."

(Chorus) "Put out or be shut out/Got less likes than a cat video,Guess I need to be more of a ho."

"Doing another website quiz./'How best to make your lover jizz',/Let everyone know I got an A,/Now I need some people to lay."

(Chorus) Put out or be shut out/Got less likes than a baby video,Guess I need to be more of a ho."

"Ain't nothing wrong with using your body,/Especially when you're a hottie,/No one's interested in my mind,/They'd rather do me from behind."

"Put out or be shut out/Got less likes than a school video,/Guess I need to be more of a ho."

"This girl is totally lit,/Did you see the pic that showed my tit?/No subtlety, no gaming./It's all about the shaming."

Put out or be shut out/Got less likes than a tax video,/Guess I was too much of a ho." Big finish before she bows to the crowd. "Thank you, we're two fifths of Augmented Reality. Someone come up and sing!"

"I guess you wouldn't have many chances in a town this size." Kim starts out addressing Grace "You know actually I think I remember a friend saying they knew a promoter. Granted this is Portland but maybe I could see if they still know them. Maybe get something set up? That does sounds like quite the work out. Geez if I remember leg day I feel good." and with Hera denying talent the song starts. The beat is nice and then the lyrics have her face bright red and not what she expected at a public festival "Ah really Hera could be more eh...well more than that? But don't do anything you don't want to. I think I need some water or something."

Winston does act surprised and shake his head some, but seeming to regret it if Jessica stops the petting. Soon letting her pet without fussing.

Grace widen her eyes at the question, "Oh, New York. You?" Asked in turn. Studying Hera, "I've seen you sing and dance, you're usually good." She offers and smiles. Not going to push her though. Frowning about Hera passing out, "You should have called, I could have come picked you up." She suggests, perhaps for next time. Smiling at Kim as well, nodding. "Sure! Thank you." Beaming and giving her a hug. Trying not to tug on Winston's leash though. Not certain on the song either, but she moves along to it some. Snickering some.

Jessica nods in understanding about being comatose drunk. "Same thing happened to me after a Girls' Night Out. A stranger took me home...totally innocent." Still, no good dwelling on such things. "You sing, Hera? I'd love to hear you. And I don't think you have to worry about making a fool of yourself. One, you'll be too talented. Two, we're all here to have fun. You hear that song they just did? As socially relevant as it may be, I think if you did 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' you'd have a lot of relieved families" she smiles. "I'm a local" is the reply to Grace. "Born and bred. I work at the Gray Harbor Gazette. Did someone say you were a wrestler? You should have a ring set up here."

Hera gasps a moment when she hears the song, her first instinct is to make sure that kids are nowhere around to hear that. "Damn" she remarks, "That definitely wouldn't put me in the mood." Fortunately the singer is far enough away to not hear her remarks." Maybe all of the encouragement finally gives her more confidence or maybe she is motivated by something else. "Well uhm, I guess I could try, if there's room on stage and what not but, I'm definitely not going to sing anything like that, nope, no way." Hopefully there's no fans of the song around because if there are, open mouth....insert foot.

Surveying the crowd, Park realises that they should probably play to the audience in the future rather than dragging them with the band. At least in public festivals. "Sorry about that" she blushes. "Scott, maybe we should do 'Baby Shark' to make up for it?"

Lyric comes up after hearing rumblings about what the current singer was belting out and she hears Park.. she laughs and shakes her head. "Why not do something everyone will like? Just anything except those two songs probably." Maybe? She's not one hundred percent on that though. She's got a guitar on, hanging by a strap. She plugs in and picks out a tune. "Let's do Billie Eilish, Bad Guy?" Duh!

Scott grins as he listens, nodding a bit at Lyric's words. "Sounds like a good idea," he offers.

Kim listens to the interaction between "I've been to New York, it seems like fun place." returning the hug from Grace "I'll reach out and see. No promises of course, but I'll see what I can do." before nodding in agreement with Rebecca "Besides you'll do great Hera." the redness mostly gone from her face and she recalls something pulling a small bottled water from her purse to have a sip.

Hera sighs a bit and looks down at Hans, "Maybe we should go get something to drink, and maybe I might be bold and go for something loaded again." Hearing the song continue on she shrugs, "Ok, if there's time tonight. It looks like their stage is pretty full. If there's not time, tell you what, the next karaoke night, it's on. I promise." She asks the small group, "Anyone want anything to drink?"

Grace nods to Kim, "Of course, and New York can be nice at times." Looking to Hera as she smiles and moves to join as well. "I can join you, but I should probably get home soon." Sighing, probably working early the next day. Or just busy in other ways.

"They said it was an open mic night, I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you stepped up to sing" Jessica offers Hera with a warm smile. "I am sure it would be angelic. No pressure." A nod to the idea of a drink. "Sure, we can do that instead if you like. I will hold you to that promise though. If I don't get to hear you sing tonight." Last pats for the dogs. "New York to Gray Harbor? That is definitely quite a change."

Park nods to Lyric with her choice of song. "Anyone can play or sing today too." Her brow furrows in thought. "Maybe we should ask them what they'll sing first. Just in case." They start up on Billie Eilish. She will let Lyric sing this one.

Hera goes over with Grace to get some cups of cocoa for everyone and returns. Hans isn't giving her any drama fortunately and she makes her way into the group. "You are very kind to me." she tells Jessica, then she blushes again, "Thank you, for your compliments, it's very nice to hear them." Then to everyone she offers, "Hot chocolate anyone? We can get it spiked if you want."

"It is open mic night, we'll do this one then clear the stage for anyone else who wants to be up?" It's kind of voiced like a question, but she goes into singing so the others can plat and sing along with her, but she does get it started. Her voice is clear and she's obviously having fun especially by the time they get to the chorus.

"So you're a tough guy
Like-it-really-rough guy
Just-can't-get-enough guy
Chest-always-so-puffed guy
I'm that bad type
Make-your-mama-sad type
Make-your-girlfriend-mad type
Might-seduce-your-dad type
I'm the bad guy.
Duh."

Lyric has fun with music, dancing as she sings, trying to get the crowd involved and grinning back at her bandmates.

Kim stifles a yawn and shakes her head at the offered drink "I think I'm a little more tired than I thought. I should really head home." she offers a hug to Grace and Hera "It's been a fun time. Could you say goodbye to Mee for me if she is done before you both leave." turning to Jessica "It was nice meeting you. I hope to see you around town." she'll wait others are done with goodbyes before heading out.

"You deserve to hear them" Jessica smiles shyly to Hera. "Anytime I can tell you them, I will. Umm...speaking of which. Would you be interested in dinner sometime? Just the two of us?" She will definitely take a hot chocolate and spice/spike it. Jessica can't help but groove to the music. "Nice to meet you, Kim. I'm sure we'll see each other again. Be safe home."

Grace does help and brings the cocoa. Perhaps Winston walking with Hans helps. Either way, they soon return with drinks. Smiling to Jessica. "Indeed, but came here with my sister, as well as having relatives here." She explains. Hugging Kim. "Hope to see you again soon." She offer and smiles. "Give us a call or send a text when you're home."

Hera offers a hug to Kim as well and tells her, "That's right, let us know you're safe or I'll have to send Grace out to whoop someone, and we don't want that!" She then looks back over to Jessica, "Actually, yes, yes I would. That would be fun. What, type of food do you like? Did you want to go out somewhere? I mean, I'm really open."

Park does love her music. Alternating between bouncing around to the tune and acting all sultry - she's better at the former than the latter. Bass thumping throw the speakers. Helping Lyric with some vocal backing when needed. This is what it's all about. Fun!

Scott looks relaxed at the keyboards, a grin on his face as he looks out to the crowd.

"Well, if you're really open and trusting, we could always eat on the 'Honeybuns'" Jessica replies before feeling the need to clarify, "That's my houseboat. I enjoy cooking. A fusion of Mexican and Middle East if that doesn't sound too terrible." A hopeful look at Hera before nodding to Grace. "Are you enjoying our small town ways?"

Hera wooooo at that thought and says, "That really sounds cool, and Mexican food, I love it, I really really do. Middle Eastern food is incredible too. That sounds great. Do you...like wine? I can definitely bring some if you do? I guess you wouldn't mind if I brought Hans? It might make things easier since I wouldn't have to leave for home too often for him to be walked. He hates to potty inside the gallery if I leave him behind."

Grace smiles and nods to Jessica, "Indeed, been interesting so far. People are fun here. Are you born here?" Smiling at them both. "I could look after him if you want though." She suggests. In case Hera want a day away from the dog. And Winston get a friend to play with.

The song was one of the popular ones with certain ages, even the kids liked it but mostly cause the tune and chorus, probably not totally understanding the words of it. Lyric has fun though, lots of fun, alternately bouncing with Park and singing, getting Scott all active and involved.

"I like when you get mad
I guess I'm pretty glad
That you're alone
You said she's scared of me?
I mean
I don't see what she sees
But maybe it's 'cause I'm wearing your cologne

I'm a bad guy
I'm, I'm a bad guy
Bad guy, bad guy
I'm a bad guy."

Finishing it off, she ends suddenly, a dead stop, fingers across her strings to stop the vibration before she leads the band in taking a bow. With a grin, she calls out. "Anyone else?"

"I love wine. In the right company. And of course you can bring Hans." Jessica replies, though Grace has an idea worth considering too. Either way, she adds, "I'll send you a text to sort out a time?"

Hera makes sure she holds Hans' leash securely in her hand, "I'll bring the wine then and I look forward to it. In fact, I'll text my class schedule to you. Anytime outside of class should work great. I look forward to it." She then begins to head off, waving to her friends as she bops on home. All in all, it's been a rather good day today and she's eager to see where the next adventure will lead.

It’s been some time since someone’s graced the stage. Over an hour. And by his lonesome, Everett parades the mostly destitute fair grounds. He came late for a reason, and prowls the tents looking around. Large paws tucked into his back pockets, he makes a slow meandering around towards Sideshow Alley and the area that has been used by the bands entertaining those within.

He looks even guiltier when he slides to the stage, though the biker avoids the microphone. If it’s even still on. He pauses a second, looking out to a vacant crowd. Clears his throat, brushes his hair back with his hands and says, softly. “You hear the one about the three holes in the ground?”

Another pause.
“Well, well, well. Eh!” Everett pulls an Andrew Dice Clay like sound at the end and tugs his arms out. Less guilt, more confidence plays out on his features. Now his cadence carries a horrid New York accent. “Yous see the Gray Harbor Gazette headline about the little person psychic that escaped from the looney bin? Ehhh? Yeah, it read, ‘Small Medium at Large.’ Forgetaboutit!”

Green eyes look stage right, stage left. His bravo sapped. Someone comes to check out the noise and that’s the last of Everett’s assurance. Except to knock over the microphone stand on his way back out, his hands go back into his pants pockets, head down.
