2019-12-22 - Remember

Written a little sloppy.

She's gone. Just like that, she's gone.
A little girl, so little, just learning how to play and trying to discover the wonder in the world around her. No one knew it would be her last day. I didn't even know her, but I won't ever forget her. I wonder what I would have done if I knew I was watching her last minutes. Would I have memorized her laughter? Would I have taken the time to imprint those tiny little features in my mind so that they weren't so fuzzy now?
What could I have done different? Could I have saved her if I did something different? I won't ever know and now she's gone. Beneath Gray Pond.
She was too tiny to save herself. I was too slow to save her. I will get another little metal tag for my necklace like I got for Brandon and I will wear it always and never forget.
Someone has to remember those who leave.
But how can I remember everyone?
Cause everyone always leaves.
