2019-08-28 - Comic Restock

Ruby had been sorting through the newest arrivals at the shop and there were a few that she’d bought on Ebay to sell in the store because she already had copies of them. It was the rest of the Batman set she needed to sell for Mister Blaylock.

She was figuring it wouldn’t go too bad.

Or the store would burn down before she got them sold.

In this town you never knew what was going to happen really. Research had been on her mind the most this week. Her graph was off from the last Veil incident, but she’d check that to another she had in the files.

Veil studying was the most glamorous thing and she wasn’t doing it glamorously. Couldn’t really do that with the shit the Veil threw at you. It was sometimes the researcher getting the short end of the stick and oh boy did she know about that.

The new arrivals were packed in their new holders and set up for display. Then she went over to flip the open sign on and there’s a smile as she props the door open.

Work had to go on.
