2019-09-10 - A singular purpose

I am so excited! Today is the best day! I am on top of the pile. It is my turn at last. Every time I see a pen move, I can barely contain myself.

And now it's happening! They are writing on me. I'm not sure what it says, but the color is so wonderfully pink that I'm delighted. It's...

...a…

...heart! They have drawn a pink heart on me. This is lovely. I am beautiful now.

Oh noooo! No no no no! I am being wadded up and thrown away! WHY GOD, WHY?! Is the pink heart not satisfactory? Am I not satisfactory? I am still sticky! I am still useful!

Oh well. This waste basket is crowded. I don't care for envelopes. They are very haughty. I hope that, when I go to wherever the contents of the waste baskets wind up, they will not mix me in with envelopes. But wait!

What is this? Is this salvation?! I am being taken out of the waste basket and flattened out. Someone is looking at my pink heart . I wish they wouldn't sneeze on me like that. It's a little gross. But they are sticking me to the door! They are sticking me! This is wonderful!

I am the best. This is the best door, and I am the best for sticking to it. My pink heart is the best.

Only.

My sticky is not so sticky now.

I have fallen off the door. But I think... yes... I know I can stick to this shoe. No one will notice me. Whee, this shoe is moving right along. I've never been into this office before, so I think I'll stick around for a while. (I love that joke.)

Whoops, now we're moving again. This shoe certainly has a lot to accomplish today. Perhaps, now, I'll go ahead and let go. It's a little damp, and I don't care for the swiftness that gutter is running, so I'll try to stay away from that.

This new shoe seems to be avoiding the gutters, too. I think I'll take a ride on it. This has been a very exciting day! I'm glad that I'm the best pink heart sticky-note of all time.
