Text

(TXT to Isabella) Easton : This sucks.

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : Easton? What does?

(TXT to Isabella) Easton : This whole fucking sacrifice shit. Because someone decides that murdering people can't be just a thing for the living to do

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : I know. Trust me, nobody's happy about it. Like I said - it doesn't seem fair that we have to keep paying the piper when so much has been taken already. But what else can we do, E? Half the bones are gone, because I was an idiot, and nobody else knew what to do with their share when they were divvied up and I couldn't really blame them for trying to get rid of them. They kept talking, and apparently people were reluctant to bury them from the start because of threats.

(TXT to Isabella) Easton : Huh. Guess you screwed the pooch on that. Didn't you read your 'Serial Killer Ghosts for Dummies' handbook that the visitor center hands out?

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : Must've skipped that on my summer reading book list back in high school.

(TXT to Isabella) Easton : I hate that people who have lost so god damn much and didn't sign up that are put in this position.

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : Me, too, E. You know - I know we already said it when we all congregated at your place, but you know you don't have to toss anything in the bastard's casket, right?

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : I can appreciate wanting to help, believe me. I just wanted to remind you that the option is there.

(TXT to Isabella) Easton : Sit on the sidelines while other people sacrifice to stop something evil? No thanks.

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : I figured you would say that also. It's a big ask though, E. If you're going to do it, have you figured out what you would part with?

(TXT to Isabella) Easton : I know. You?

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : Me too. Alexander and August are kind enough to remind us that it doesn't have to be the most important thing in your life. But the source we consulted on this was specific in that the greater the sacrifice, the greater the likelihood that we will get rid of him. So yes. I thought about it. It hurts. But if it hurts it's probably a good indication that it's worthy.

(TXT to Isabella) Easton : It's not a sacrifice if it doesn't hurt. Right?

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : Yes. Needs to be vital and permanent to count, by the traditional definition.

(TXT to Isabella) Easton : How do we know if it works? Waiting for a murder seems miserable.

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : We have an exorcist in hand. She's the real deal. I think she'll be able to tell.

(TXT to Isabella) Easton : Interesting. I might want to have a word with her?

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : Sure. I need to come see her anyway about my own sacrifice. Do you want to go together?

(TXT to Isabella) Easton : Just you and me. Sure.

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : Alright. I'll pick you up in a couple of hours?

(TXT to Easton) Isabella : Just you and me.

(TXT to Isabella) Easton : Works for me.
