Easton

- A work in progress sleeve of tattoos from his right shoulder down including smoking bullet casings, forest scenery, a werewolf and various guns.
Tom "Banks" Richmond. Tom was the first person that Easton actually considered family. They were closer than brothers through their careers in the military and Tom was killed in the same incident that took Easton's leg and ended his military career. After his death Easton was haunted by a ghost of him, but Easton attempted to sever the connection during the Billy the Ghoul ordeal, sacrificing that bond to seal Billy away.
But is giving up a haunting a sacrifice?
Sunshine. The only one that matters.
Husband. What The King has joined together let no man separate.
Walking Wounded. Technically not a veteran, but seems like he's been fighting his own quiet war for a long time. Might still be a bit crazy, pretty sure I am too though. Tough as shit. Good as gold.
Combat Botanist. A like minded vet that Easton has ended up in multiple terrible situations with and is always grateful for his calm, capable and steady presence.
Harper Lee Harper, Harper at Law. Even if she weren't Geoff's girl they'd get along well. It certainly helps that she loves Geoff and maybe more importantly loves Geoff and Easton's close relationship. She may appear a mild mannered librarian but she's got a bit of wildness that Easton wholly approves of.
Hot Scotch. She has quickly become one of his closest friends, maybe it was the bonding over scotch or maybe it was sharing that mind link. Either way, he knows that he can trust her and be honest with her and also make terrible decisions with her. That's a true friend.
Mensch. Itzhak is one of the few 'movers' that Easton feels like he has a lot to learn from. They're extremely different personalities, and yet? It totally works.
Gunny. Tough ass. Absolute unit. They both realize there's more in common than they might say out loud.
Quirky. Misjudged at first. Solid guy. Has helped me out in dire situations, even broke my leg when necessary.
Trouble. Feels like there's more in common than just whatever that spark is.
Hustler. There may have been an incident during a family trip to Gray Harbor back in the day. It might have involved a dare, some spray paint and prized pet poodles. Of course this was preceded by unconfirmed reports of horrific bullying and douche-baggery on Easton's part. But the past is the past and now they are on much better terms. There's business relationships and genuine friendship, funny how life and death situations can turn things around.
Prom Queen. There may have been an incident during a family trip to Gray Harbor back in the day. It might have involved a pilfered six pack of Zima and a pretty serious make out session cut short by inopportune vomiting. Details are fuzzy. It was a long time ago, okay? She's been through a lot recently and handled it like a champ.
Cat lady. Okay, I don't know if she owns any cats but she strikes me as the type. Multiple terrible situations she's held her own and helped others, big points in my book.
Scoundrel. He's open about it though and I can appreciate that. Willing to help with Bennie's situation, no questions asked, I appreciate that even more.
J Money. Blast from the past that I didn't expect to see back here. We're very different people now but still feel like the part of us that connect back then is still in tact. Maybe one of the few actual friends I have from back then.
Firecracker. She wants to make things explode, that alone is enough to recommend her. Also wants to punch me in the face, which I appreciate on many levels. And I owe her for helping out with Bennie.
Chaplain. The fact that she's helping him figure out ways to talk is nearly a miracle, and who doesn't love trash talking old church buildings?
Twin. Like a hot girl version of me. Bennie's partner and there's no one I'd rather have riding along with her.
Sarge. Still one of my men as far as I'm concerned, still my responsibility. Semper Fi.
Gunner's Mate. Pretty sure my dog likes him better, but it's hard to complain about someone who's willing to watch him on a moment's notice. And if Sutton's okay with the guy, then he's fine by me.
Wisecrack. Who doesn't love someone who can crack a joke in the face of danger? And more importantly go back in for more. Don't know him that well, but seems willing to do what needs doing.
Four. Four of spades more specifically. Seems like a good-natured customer at the Deuce.
Daughter? Easton's still thrown for a loop at finding out she's Ruiz's kid. He doesn't know her well but they bonded in blowing up demons in the Murray House so that's a good start.
Shady. Seems to want to help him, that's good.
Not sure why, that's weird. Right?
Cheshire Cat. She's got that knowing smile, doesn't seem malicious, but maybe not benevolent either.
Queen of England. Fellow bartender, hilarious guy to drink with, probably less funny to cross.
KK-47. The only serious relationship Easton had been in prior to coming to Gray Harbor. She wanted to stand beside him and help him readjust to life after the accident. He wanted to set her free. It got messy. Now she's back in town and they're working on figuring out where to go from there.
Chaser. I love a straight shooter.
Tour Guide. Came through with some clutch information about the veil before my first trip in. Almost wrote her off as an idiot messing she shouldn't touch, nope, turns out that's me and she could probably teach me quite a bit.
Bouncer. I will never admit it but I'd rather drink at her place any night of the week. It's fun to annoy her too, like a little bit of sibling rivalry vibe maybe.
Elvira. She has both information on creatures from the other side, hauntings, witchcraft and a sweet eyepatch. Hilarious that Bennie even hinted she should be jealous, but damn if I didn't appreciate her keeping her eye on prize and knocking out Billy in the middle of a fire fight.
Unforgivable. He tried to hurt a poor defenseless gun.
Barbarian. Might not be a hostile per say, but Easton doesn't trust him in this world or the other.
Trap. She shows up out of nowhere and gives Easton a key that belonged to his uncle that opens something she won't tell him that she stole and then 'felt guilty about'. He trusts here about as much as an un-exploded IED. Big ol' noooope.
Bartender - Easton is a bartender at a place near the beach called Two if by Sea
Former Military - Easton served in the Marines as an officer and saw combat, he's friendly with most military, but especially Marines.
Gym Rat - Easton can often be found working out. He's diligent about his physical therapy and wants to get back to where he was physically.
Haunted - Easton is literally haunted by his dead best friend Tom "Banks" Richmond, a fellow marine who died in combat.
Two If By Sea - Ostensibly just another bar on the beach. Possibly a front for some of Felix's operations. The paperwork behind it is a rats nest of legalese and shell corporations. The general manager is tough as nails and way over qualified for the job. But Easton's just a bar tender there...
Easton Charles Marshall was born the only son of Priscilla and Hudson Marshall of Bridgeport Connecticut. He was raised as someone befitting his family's status in stuffy, upper crust society. He attended boarding school, played lacrosse and generally was an insufferable dink. His family often vacationed in Gray Harbor, even purchasing a luxury apartment there just to use on holiday. Oddly it was one of the few places that Easton didn't run wild, there was something both foreboding and attractive about it that he could never quite place his finger on, nor did he think much about.
Somewhere around his teenage years, he had an "experience" with what kind of person he was hanging with and becoming, something changed. What should have been a fatal car crash after a long night of teenagers boozing it up somehow worked out okay. Afterwards Easton was sure of a few things, first that he somehow was able to turn the wheel with his mind from the backseat, second that if he hadn't they would have all died in a head on crash instead of merely getting scraped up by running off the road. The accident troubled him enough that he developed a sudden serious streak, that his father mistook for finally coming around to seeing things his way. Quite the opposite, he began to regret and despise his privileged life. He began seeking out different types of people than he had ever hung out with before, seemingly drawn to them for reasons he couldn't quite verbalize. He dutifully attended Cornell, his father's alma mater and went pre-law as expected but upon graduation he shocked and dismayed his family by choosing not a law school, but the marines. He enlisted into office training school and found the realness that he had been craving. He chose to study Arabic, to be able to at least have a rudimentary conversation with locals and interpreters when deployed.
Of course then it all got a little too real. The reality of warfare caught him by surprise and within a few short years left him even more lost than ever. He returned home with the ghost of his best friend Banks, something resembling PTSD and a leg blown off at the knee. Not being able to stand the thought of life back in Connecticut, after rehab he convinced his parents to let him use the place in Gray Harbor to get back on his foot. And while they failed to appreciate the dark humor, they did just that. When he announced that he planned to bartend for awhile his clueless but supportive parents purchased a bar. Having other ideas in mind Easton setup a LLC, installed a general manager via proxy and got a job bartending at his own bar.
A below average height man with unruly brown hair that is shaved tight on the sides and left a bit wild on top. He has a thick beard and a good deal more muscle than most. Maybe his bulk is what keeps from reading as small, despite his height, maybe. His eyes are a cool gray. His age is difficult to gauge as he looks somewhere around thirty, though maybe less with just a bit more wear and tear than average.
He dresses inconspicuously, no flashy labels or trendy looks. It's very basic and straight-forward. Unless he's working out, he always has on long pants which cover his artificial lower left leg. It's noticeable that his walk isn't 100% smooth, though it's not a limp per say.
