One of the many good things about having hired Jay and Declan is that Easton has people he can call to fill in a shift for him at the bar. That means that he can spend most of his time taking care of Bennie and working through the details of her living at his place, at least for a little while. He's been busy doing small things like ordering some things online to accommodate an actual living roommate. He did take a break to hit the gym to give her some time alone but he was still technically in the building. So he's been sticking pretty close.

Dinner has been ordered in though and stacks of Chinese containers litter the counter now as Easton unpacks the bag. He is apparently fresh out of the shower, dressed in his usual unadorned tee-shirt and dark jeans, though no shoes. He's slowly getting used to being barefoot again.

Bennie is very thankful that Baylee brought over her bag, but after being dumped out on the floor of her trailer prior, it just doesn't have the myriad of belongings that Bennie normally carries in it, which leaves her in her borrowed clothes from Easton of a t-shirt and boxer shorts with his flannel being used as a makeshift sling. Right now she's nested on the couch, having drug in the blanket from the bedroom - seriously, boy has no decorative throws, which might be one of the things he ordered up - and is currently binging Netflix on his man-sized TV.

There's probably warning before Aidan arrives -- at the very least, security would like to know if they'd like him allowed up to see them. Given the weather of the day, he's got that clear plastic umbrella with the flamingo pattern with him, and he's wearing a pink and grey striped tank top under an unbuttoned black shirt with a pattern of red lipsticks on it, and black shorts. Also, flipflops. The umbrella is, of course, furled by the time he's knocking on the door. He has a plastic bag with him, but unless Bennie's happened to text that she needed more stuff from her place, it is alas not big enough to contain her clothing. She'll just have to keep wearing her boyfriend's stuff. Horrors!

Decorative throws were decidedly not something he ordered. Extra towels, toothbrush, toiletries, etc. Those he ordered. At the knock at the door, he calls, "Come in!" but doesn't this time open the door with Glimmer. He head tilts at the umbrella, but just shakes it off. "Thanks for coming man. Hungry?" Yes, there's plenty of food. He brings two plates over to the couch and sets one down on the table in front of Bennie.

Throws have purpose! Huff. Like they keep you snuggly on the couch without having to tear apart the bed. "Hi Aidan." Bennie greets sort of blandly, at least for her, as he's let in. She murmurs some thanks to Easton as he sets down a plate, leaning forward to pick up her fork but she just ends up accidentally whacking the end of it and sends it - and some rice - flinging in a random bout of bad luck. With a sigh, she just sits back and tents fingers over her eyes.

Aidan has not brought any decorative throws along with him either. Life is very cruel to Bennie these days. He gives the pair of them a rather brighter "Hey!" than she had energy for, though she gets a worried look as he sets the umbrella down, leaning it against the wall. It promptly falls right over. He blinks at it. "Kinda, yeah," he answers as he leans down to pick it back up, "I mean, if you've got enough left over. Otherwise I'm good." The umbrella falls over again. This time he leaves it that way. "And of course I'd come. Baylee says you're kinda hurt." The last bit there, of course, to the blonde.

"Yea, there's plenty." Easton notices the fork down and with a flick of his wrist, the rice is swirled up in the air and piled on the table and the fork returns to the plate. The umbrella falling over gets a look too. What is even going on? He picks his own plate and fork backup and digs in. He then notices the show on Netflix and asks, "Wait, what the hell are we watching again?" He tilts his head again trying to figure it out.

Easton gets a disapproving look as he swirls up the rice and puts back the fork, "Will you stop doing that!" Bennie practically snaps at her boyfriend, certainly something she's never done in the course of the two months they've been together. With a sigh, she leans forward and snags an egg roll with her fingers instead. Maybe she's just Hangry. "Yeah, wouldn't you know, I slipped and fell on some asshole who twisted my arm like a pretzel." She tells Aidan, then with a look to both the men, realizes she's not exactly being pleasant. "Sorry to even ask, but there's no way they'll let me on the rig if I can't lift anything heavier than dinner plate." She mumbles something to Easton that sounds like, "Santa Clarita Diet."

Aidan wanders himself over to the kitchen, in that case, and opens the cupboard that he's pretty sure contains plates. It does! And as he takes one, the rest of them somehow overbalance and start to slide. He yelps and slams the cupboard shut on them just in time to prevent a dishalanche overtaking the kitchen, pausing for a moment before he sets the plate he took down and verrrry gingerly cracks the cupboard again so he can sneak a hand in and push things back where they belong. That, at least, works. "Uh... sorry," he says sheepishly, "I'm kind of a klutz today for some reason."

Thankfully, the rest goes okay, and it's not that long before he has a plate of food as well to bring over to join them. "You can ask any time. Didn't you kinda demand I come find you if I get hurt? Turnabout's fair play anyway, I'm pretty sure that's what I heard." He sits, setting the plate down, and studies Bennie for a moment, focusing on her arm, looking thoughtful. "Slipped and fell because he twisted your arm like a pretzel?"

Easton looks over at Bennie with a tilt of his head as she snaps at him. He nods and says, "Sure. I can do that." Oh good. What was that thirty-six-ish hours? He tries not to count them in his head as he looks her over. He tries not to compare her to the ghost of girlfriends past. He fails. He wants to ask if she's in a lot of pain or what that comment was about but instead he just sets his plate down to go pour himself a drink. Aidan's comment about being a klutz just gets a wry, "Lot of that going around." He's spilled more things, and stubbed his toes (on his good foot of course) more than ever before today. He pours himself a couple fingers of whiskey and looks at the couch, before downing that and pouring again. This second one he takes to the couch.

"I can't tell you how many times I've bumped my shoulder or knocked something over today. Maybe Mercury is in retrograde." Bennie seems a little cowed as Easton blatantly just placates her in that way of 'I don't want to get into an argument'. Her fingers push back loose hairs from her bun out of her face and she apologizes quietly, "Sorry, as soon as Aidan fixes me up, I'll go get my meds. I'm just tired, that's all. Can't focus."

"I stepped aside real quick this morning 'cause I noticed a car coming fast and a huge mud puddle it was going to go through, and my foot sank like six inches into what I thought was grass," Aidan says, sounding more puzzled than upset, though there is a definite complaint in, "It ate my sneaker. I had to go back and change." He shakes his head, and looks to Bennie, "Maybe you're right. About the mercury thing. Anyway. Let me take a look at where you're hurt?" Surely it is very relaxing to know the dude planning to heal you is having that kind of day. But at least he still seems pretty confident in this part?

Maybe Mercury is in retrograde?

Easton's eyebrow raises and he looks to Bennie and then to Aidan silently wondering if A) Bennie believes that could actually be the cause B) if that actually could be the cause because seriously who the hell even knows in this town anymore. At Bennie's apology he just waves it off, "It's fine. I can get yer meds if ya want." It's weird. He wants to be reassuring and fine but he's far more thrown off by things than he's let on.

"Wait it wasn't grass, what as it?" Easton shifts subjects for his own sake.

Bennie sits up a little further as Aidan explains his bad day, because it's easier to focus on other people's problems than sit here and drown in her own misery. "That sounds awful, Aidan, I'm sorry." The eyebrow raised isn't noticed, because she obviously doesn't find anything odd about her assumption. But then again, this is the girl who sheepishly thought she could read people's auras, when it turns out she was just seeing people's glimmer. She unslings the loop of the flannel from around her neck, explaining. "They twisted my arm behind my back and managed to dislocate it. Easton was able to pop it back in for me, but I'll be sore for a few days unless I get some help, and I'd rather not have to try and hide the bruises."

<FS3> Aidan rolls Spirit-2: Success (8 6 5 5 5 4 4 2 1)

"I guess it was a bunch of mud with a grass toupee," Aidan says, and considers briefly. "I hope that's what it was, anyway. Anyway, it wasn't, like, pig farm runoff, so it could've been worse." There's something abut the example, and the intensity of the nosewrinkle that accompanies it, that might lead one to believe it's not being grabbed wholecloth from his imagination.

When Bennie unwinds the sling, he leans in to take a closer look, expression thoughtful again. Well, it starts thoughtful; there's a bit of a darkening when she relates just what happened. And then he nods. "Bruises are a pain that way, people ask a lot," he agrees, and reaches over to set his hand very lightly against the wounded shoulder. It's not much pressure, but the skin is warm, and as he focuses on it, the warmth seems to flow from hand to shoulder and spread out, almost liquid. Where it goes, the pain recedes, and things begin to feel more like they should. Physically, anyway. Emotionally's a harder one.

Giving Bennie a sideways look as she listens to Aidan and comments how sorry she is in earnest, Easton just takes a big gulp of his drink and picks his plate back up. Easton's not sure what he expected Aidan to say ate his shoe but mud with grass fake hair just gets shrug like 'oh, that makes more sense'. He happily munches through things while Aidan starts to work. It's not hard to get a sense of what Aidan's doing even if the whole feel of it is so different from his own abilities. He stops eating to look at Bennie with eyebrows raised, silently asking if that worked?

It's a very weird thing to be on the receiving end of magical medical healing, and Bennie actually tenses up for a moment as Aidan reaches out to lay hands on her. But as the warmth spreads, the knots seem to ease and the tightness in her face fades and for the first time in two days she feels as if she can breathe without accidentally jarring herself. Blue eyes touched closed for a moment, and she does just that, filling up her lungs to capacity and letting out a slow exhale as a smile melts the rest of the ice away. "So much better." She murmurs, slowly straightening out her arm to test it out and lifting a no longer broken wing. She's then pitching forward to kiss Aidan's forehead. "You're a peach!"

It feels right, but Aidan still watches to see Bennie's reactions to be certain, and breaks into a grin when it's clear it's worked. "Good," he says quietly to the murmur, and the kiss makes him laugh, in a pleased sort of way. "You're welcome," he says, "Least I can do, right?" He settles back again, and picks up his plate, looking at it more hungrily than before. Might be the energy expenditure, might just be that the food looks delicious, dammit. "Oh!" He glances up from it to the bag he left on the counter, then back to them. "...I brought you guys some cookies. This batch actually came out pretty good."

"Awesome" Easton grins as she's able to freely move her arm again. It really is like watching a minor miracle. He shakes his head and says, "It's still crazy that you guys can do that." He should be used to it by now, and yet it's still surprising. He asks Bennie, "Did you want to make a run over on the bike to get some stuff from the trailer now taht you can hang on? Or want to make me a list?" Granted he's also drinking right now and considering how many toe stubs he's had, maybe calling an uber isn't the worst idea for this trip? Maybe.

Looks a little suspicious at the mention of cookies, "You didn't get inspiration from Gina's cricket flour ones, did you? Free spirit and all, but I try to draw the line at eating bugs." Now that Bennie can move freely, she stretches both arms high above her head with a little noise of pleasure and when they come down she's snuggling up to Easton's side and peppering his shoulder with kisses at the offer for her to make a list. "We should call a car, so I can grab everything I need and us not have to worry about how to get it back on the bike."

Aidan gives Easton a grin in return. "It's still kinda awesome to me when you guys make stuff float, so, fair I guess?" Something about that thought gets a fleeting wince, and he focuses on the food a moment, but Bennie's question on the cookies gets a laugh. "Nah. I mean, they weren't that bad, especially if you put frosting on 'em? But I just used normal flour. Normal everything. They're chocolate-chip-bacon." Normal bacon, presumably. "Anyway, if you want, I can give you a ride there. I'm parked pretty close. Then you'd only have to get one back, or, you know, ask me. Either way." Not right this moment, though, because he definitely needs to eat this egg roll, and probably some of this cashew chicken and broccoli and beef and rice too.

Easton lifts his glass at the thought of getting a ride and says, "Done." Because then he really doesn't have to worry about finishing his drink, which he does, quickly. He laughs about the cricket cookies, because why? Why would that exist? Except for of course: Gina. He glances over at Bennie before agreeing, "Yea. A ride there would be great and we'll call one for the way back." Easton is getting up to go get more food anyway so he doesn't appear to be in a rush.
