(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : Ugh. Who let me drink tequila with De La La?

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : De La La?

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : Is Alexander okay? He hasn't chimed in with Captain Javier Ruiz De La Vega yet. Iz, I'm worried.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : ::laugh emoji:: He's been bombarded by more paying work lately, he's probably just busy. I got ahold of him early this morning. No word after that, though...

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : I'm assuming he's lost both his hands in a tragic cooking accident and is currently trying to train Luigi to text back and correct my use of nicknames.

(TXT to Easton Alexander) Isabella : I love that you're keeping him in the chat just so you're assured that he's going to see all of this later.

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : It's rude to talk about people behind their backs. Especially when they just lost their hands in tragic accidents or were captured by angry garden gnomes.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Is that why his mailbox is missing? Mystery solved!

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : That or he's joined another sex cult and is too busy in a massive orgy for us now

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Well, time to murder an entire commune in a fit of jealous rage. Thanks, Easton. My doctoral dreams are now officially dashed. You're a menace.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Alternatively we can have our own orgy and just not invite him.

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : I'm imagining the lights flickering right? I feel like I don't want to test how far away he can actually shoot sparks at me.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : He's zapped me before. Not deliberately, it was my fault, but I can attest to the fact that it hurts. It was pretty glorious, though.

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : Normal couples go for hair pulling usually, not that I expect the two of you to be normal.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : First of all, how dare you. Second of all...

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : ...I got nothing, you're right there about not being normal. If this is a conversation we must have, it's not happening in texts, E!

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : HA. ANYWAY. The tequila with Gunny (yes I'm baiting Alexander with nicknames) was over the key

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : It is to Uncle Monty's office in the asylum, but opens others doors as well. Also it apparently was owned by someone before him.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Did Javier say which other doors it opens? Or a description or name of the prior owner of the Key?

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : What the hell.

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : Even handless, he managed to escape the angry garden gnome orgy. He's a keeper Iz.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : I feel like I could scroll back and figure out wtf is going on. But I also feel like it would be a mistake.

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : I think he was describing the key as opening a door to get to the asylum? I am willing to admit, just this once that the heavy drinking was not a helpful addition to this reading session.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : Oh. The key. That you had Javier read.

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : Yes, stop fucking garden gnomes and catch up.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : ???

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : I was saying: I think the key can be used from various points to access the asylum? Not sure if it makes any door into an access point but Cap said he saw Monty use it multiple places to open into his office? I think?

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : I feel like we need to revisit the statement that I'm fucking garden gnomes. But. Later.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : Have you tried to use the key?

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : No, not yet. Need to find a door with a lock that fits old timey thick keys. Any old buildings with original doors you know of?

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : Addington House?

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : Ugh. That makes a certain screwed up sense. Think Cap could possibly recognize a door or if he saw that place? He's been there before

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : There's also the hospital. Vivian went over at the hospital. At Alejandro's office. But it's a little harder to get access to a now-unknown doctor's office.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Addington House. City Hall. We could also do some digging with the Historical Society archives, but I think trying to identify old timey doors through the look of a key alone might take a while. If the Key opens the door to your Uncle's office, the one time I remember anyone actually visiting it on the other side was Vivian, and she was at Addington Memorial at the time. We could see if there's a Door there. Has anyone tried?

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Great minds, love.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : We shouldn't rule anything out but now that I'm thinking about it and upon closer review of what Easton said what Javier saw, I don't know whether Alejandro's office would have it if your uncle physically had to insert a key into a door to get to his office. I don't think Vivian has the ability to open doorways into the other side, which means whatever she experienced was probably a Dream and those can happen anywhere. If what we suspect is true and that there's a delineation between spaces in a Dream and actual physical spaces in the Veil, I say we try to identify potential physical antique doorways first before we go back to Alejandro's office. If I had to pick I think Addington House is probably a good place to start - old doors, old artifacts and we already know that the older generations of the family are familiar with the Asylum and know how to get there.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : Addington House is also easily publicly accessable. Shouldn't be too hard to slip away from a tour if needed.

(TXT to Isabella Alexander) Easton : Agreed. I know I can open doors, never had to use a key before though. I need to talk with Rozencratz about practicing too. And we're all agreed that first step is information gathering in the asylum, right? Small group, figure out the layout if possible, get information on who and what is there and get out.

(TXT to Easton Alexander) Isabella : If you guys are practicing, I'd like to sit in on that, if you'd allow me. Itzhak wanted to talk to me anyway.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : I'm going to talk to Dr. Stevenson. I'll see if she has any useful information to share.

(TXT to Isabella Alexander) Easton : Sure! You can watch me make an ass of myself anytime

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : She also spends a lot of time with a Gazette editor, Harvey...uh. He never gave me his last name but I'm sure it can be easily researched in the website since we know his position in the paper. He was with her, also, during the Paranormal Society meeting.

(TXT to Easton Alexander) Isabella : Great, E. ::smiley face:: ::thumbs up::

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : Yes. I've met him. Seems nice.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : He seems like an easygoing guy, yeah.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Speaking of easygoing people, the Vivisectionist's office actually wrote me back.

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : Really? Offer you more soup?

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : What did they say?

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : I wish, if it's going to be this effective in wiping out injuries. No bad side-effects yet. I did, however, get a list of their ongoing experiments. It's...interesting.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : And by interesting I mean I'm having an egregious amount of difficulty determining just how they get test subjects for these.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : They didn't exactly have us sign a consent form, Isabella. What sort of experiments?

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : And also wondering whether she's affiliated with the Asylum, somehow, if we're going by horror movie tropes.

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : Okay dumb jock question: Vivisectionist? ... ? Cut .. open .. person?

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : Yes. Someone who studies anatomy and physiology with living subjects. Cutting them open while they're still alive. Historically done most often with animals, but some assholes have to be ambitious.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Well, to put it in layman's terms, there's one where they're actively testing what happens to the brain and skull after water landings as high as a thousand feet, among others. There's also an interesting one where they're measuring how fast an Aspect diminishes after the ingestion of some kind of chemical, which tells me, worrisomely, that they're developing a compound that can neutralize abilities.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Or alternatively, how fast an Aspect diminishes after someone's poisoned in some way, either way it's not good.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : ::broken egg emoji:: <-- This is what happens to the brain and skull after water landings at 1000 ft.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Yeah. It's a real no brainer.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : I love you

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : ::laugh emoji::

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : It's definitely on this list, though. I'm actually giving some serious consideration signing up for one of the less awful ones in the interests of intelligence gathering.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : no

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : that is a terrible idea

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : I'm in

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : GDI

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : The rest of this list is terrible. ((screencap pic of a list she has received by email of all things - something about how quickly a limb is regenerated after an amputation point and average expected lifespan after the removal of non-essential organs, on top of the things Isabella already mentioned)) But the pain threshold one seems doable. Taking bets on how likely it is that we'll be dragged into a Dream where we're strapped into gurneys, though. And the fact that there's a note that says oral vs. injection is curious.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : TERRIBLE IDEA

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : Fuck, I'll sign up limb regrowth? Already got the hard part over with.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : ::frowny face:: ::frowny face:: ::frowny face::

(TXT to Easton Alexander) Isabella : I don't know, Easton. Reading this I have a feeling that they're going to try and take something NEW off and see how long it takes to regrow.

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : Ok fine, then no. I'm already at 3/4, I don't feel like I can go any lower.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : Thank god for small favors.

(TXT to Easton Alexander) Isabella : Something to think about at least. Reviewing this list I can see how some of the data that can be gathered from this is useful, particularly the amputation regrowth and Aspect ones, not quite sure what they're aiming for in the rest, though.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : You remember that departments over there are run by a blobfish, severed feet, throat-slashed people, and god knows what else.

(TXT to Easton Alexander) Isabella : True. Sometimes things just don't make sense over there. I think it's interesting though. I was able to reach the Vivisectionist through Veil City Hall, and I know that the Collector has at the very least some connection there because someone was trying to set up an appointment with him in one of the most recent times we visited. Wonder how many others we could reach, like the corpse of Easton's uncle.

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Anyway I better finish packing my gear for this excursion. Hopefully nothing eats us. I'll text you when I'm back, Alexander.

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : Be safe, Isabella, <3

(TXT to Alexander Easton) Isabella : Easton, let us know when you want to check out Addington House?

(TXT to Easton Alexander) Isabella : I'll definitely try, Alexander. I love you.

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : 👍

(TXT to Easton Isabella) Alexander : I love you too. Isabella. Not Easton. I like you.

(TXT to Easton Alexander) Isabella : ::laugh emoji::

(TXT to Alexander Isabella) Easton : Too bad. I love you both.

(TXT to Easton Alexander) Isabella : Awwww! Adorable.
