Text

(TXT to Alexander) Easton: WTF. You get your throat cut and don't text?
(TXT to Easton) Alexander: I wasn't sure how to bring it up. It's better now.
(TXT to Alexander) Easton: 👎
(TXT to Alexander) Easton: About not texting, not about being better.
(TXT to Alexander) Easton: And I got some ghost answers for you, but I'm guessing I'm a touch late?
(TXT to Easton) Alexander: I'm sorry. Next time I get my throat cut, I will do better. And no. Not late. I was only able to confirm that one ghost, at least, has a mind and does not like you messing with it.
(TXT to Alexander) Easton: Yea, no more throat cutting for you, you've lost the privilege.
(TXT to Easton) Alexander: I'd like to pretend I'm okay enough with this to joke about being upset about that. But I can't. It was not fun.
(TXT to Alexander) Easton: Sorry. Marines humor, still need to remember most people don't laugh about shit like this. It sounded awful. Bennie said she was able to help tho? And that she slept with you?
(TXT to Easton) Alexander: I upset her, so she took a nap in my bed. And healed me, yes. You should be careful; as the Dr. pointed out, it was irresponsible of me to let her do that. It would have healed on its own. She might attract attention. As I understand you are.
(TXT to Alexander) Easton: Bennie's going to have to learn to toughen up. She was probably the girl adopting every hurt animal she could find and nursing it back to health. It's gotta be hard for her to know she can help and choose not to.
(TXT to Easton) Alexander: She's a kind person. It will hurt her.
(TXT to Alexander) Easton: It will. But she's tough as hell and I trust her. She'll figure it out, might take a tough lesson in what happens if she doesn't first. I hope not tho
(TXT to Easton) Alexander: So do I. And she seems very nice. Probably too nice. I don't say this about many people, but it would probably help her to come to terms with her meaner side.
(TXT to Alexander) Easton: Also I love that Bennie's reaction to being upset was to nap in your bed. That alone speaks to her 'meaner side'

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : To be fair, with me that IS more of a punishment than it would be with others. Too much touching.

(TXT to Ac) Easton : How does that work with Hot Scotch? Mormon sheet sex? I'm confused and don't have social boundaries.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Isabella. ::frowny face:: And sex is different. Violence is different. I'm not...thinking? About how they could hurt me. About how I could hurt them. Well, I guess during violence I am, but I'm committed to it, then.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Fuck. Sorry. Isabella.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : It's okay. It's my issue, not yours.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : I'm still going to correct you. So we're clear. But I'm not angry.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : That makes sense about the touching. It's funny, I think we're damn near opposites. One of the things I love about Bennie is how touchy feely she is. Hard to explain.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : It would be boring if we were the same, Easton. I'm glad you and she are doing well.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Oh. Someone has come to town who you might be interested in.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Yea?

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Dr. Hailey Stevenson. She's a resident at the hospital. New to town. Guess where she used to work?

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : With Uncle Monty?

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Intelligent man.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : How did that come up? Does she know how to find the institute?

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : I'm reasonably good at being nosy and suspicious. And I didn't ask that, yet. She's uncomfortable talking about it, and she had the authority to stop me from leaving the hospital. I wanted to leave. But it's on the agenda. She seems human, and doesn't intend to harm anyone, if my read on her is correct.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Fair. Can you just get the information from her head if she's uncooperative, or scared? Not as a first step of course. Don't know what's possible for people better at head stuff.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Not really. It's not telepathy. I can get feelings, images. Sometimes I can ask questions and try to grab the immediate feelings/images someone has about them. Like, don't think about a white elephant immediately makes you picture a white elephant. But not, like a map. But we have one of those.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Ok. Well I'm still planning on going back when we're ready.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Yes. Same. I just wish we could make it a proper raid. I suspect a long look at its internal records would be very enlightening. Gohl used to be there. The Addingtons plan to send his current host back there. I'd like to find another way, but - I'm somewhat at a loss.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Did I ever tell you about my dream of digging up his body? With my uncle and the man named "Carr"?

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Yes. But I would like to hear it again, if you would? When I touched his mind, Gohl wasn't afraid of us because we weren't the right people to build the prison he used to be kept in. He thought of it as the pine box, and the Addingtons said the bones used to contain him, but can't now. Building another box would be the perfect solution but...I don't know who we need or how.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Do we know who Carr is? Or why they wanted the body moved? It seems like they caused this. Though the timing wasn't right, it was in the 60s? I could tell by the hearse they drove the coffin away in.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : And does Johnson Family Mortuary mean anything to you? I'm pretty sure that's the name on the hearse. Sorry if this is just random dream shit and not useful.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Another fucking Baxter branch. Our shared ancestors were very--

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : (dancing dots)

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : A mortuary that was burned down in the late sixties. Gohl's bones were unearthed in the late sixties, I believe.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Was the coffin important? It looked like a plain pine box to me? Maybe it burned in the fire and released him? Why are ghost busters not a thing?

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : I think we're the ghostbusters, Easton. Just - at the beginning of the movie, when we're running in terror and getting slimed. And - it might be. Gohl thought it was what had him trapped before. And then his current host has been trapping him when he escaped the pine box, but his host's mind is weakening.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Some nerd needs to build me a ghost shootin' gun then.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : You always think about guns.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : I wonder if we could make you dream more.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : If we need to practice trapping ghosts, Tom is down. THERE WERE GUNS IN THE MOVIE!

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Say hello to Tom for me. And there were proton packs. Not the same thing.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Thomas? Thomas Banks?

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Tom "Banks" Richmond. Oh god, Thomas I guess?

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : This is why people shouldn't have nicknames. They are confusing. Richmond, then. 'Tom' can stand for other names, too.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Why 'Banks'?

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Richmond is fine. Banks is because we found out he had literally seven overdrawn bank accounts, multiple maxed credit cards and couldn't for the life of him manage his money.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : And you gave him a gun?

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Technically the US Government gave him multiple guns.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : Confidence in our benevolent overlords, decreasing.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Individual Marines have their issues, but don't knock their effectiveness collectively.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : I'm sorry. I didn't mean to.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : You're fine.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : I'm really not. Especially since the morphine wore off. But it's nice of you to say.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Do you need strong painkillers? I have some left over from my last scrip.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : No. Not that kind of

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : (dancing dots)

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : I couldn't do anything to stop him. The only reason I'm not dead, I'm pretty sure, is because Dr. Kosimar's ritual magic is actually effective.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Ritual magic. Of course. Sure.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : You're in crazytown, Easton. Gotta roll with it.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Yup. This is me, rolling with this. (and by rolling with this I mean pouring another drink)

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : That will definitely have you rolling, eventually.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : So you're still hospital bound? Let me know if you want company. I promise not to try and nap with you.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : I checked myself out. Dr. Stevenson frowned, but I hate hospitals. I'm at home. I wouldn't mind company. I don't know if I will be good company, though. I got ingredients. I'm attempting to cook.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : Since you're off pain meds you can drink. I'll bring booze.

(TXT to Easton) Alexander : All right. There's a part of a bottle of tequila here, too. The Captain left it.

(TXT to Alexander) Easton : On my way.
