Drinking at the bar earlier after doing some more work in the office has turned into apparently spending his evening at the bar too. It's just easier sometimes to swing down here for dinner than to make a decision at his place, so he ends up here a lot. Easton is seated in one of the back booths, a large beer in front of him, and a white bakery bag on the table. He has his phone out while he waits apparently texting other people as well.

Isolde had parted ways with Alexander at the boardwalk and headed to Two if by Sea to meet up with Easton. Her wild red hair was pulled back into a ponytail in some attempt to at least appear neat. A gray t-shirt and faded jeans with her ragged flannel wrapped around her waist was the attire of the evening. Spotting the man, she walks over to his booth and sits across from him. Peering at him curiously...and then pulling the bakery bag closer to peek inside of it before sliding it back to his side. "Hello again." Finally offering up a little smile.

Easton has updated the scene's location to: Two If By Sea

The bakery bag contains some pastries from Vydal's bakery. Easton smiles and says, "Those are for you, by the way, for saving my ass." He points to the other side of the booth and asks, "Want to join me?" He is likewise dressed in a simple gray tee-shirt, dark jeans and boots. The long pants and boots are a little out of place in the warm summer breeze that blows through the open windows and doors.

Isolde nods and takes a seat, offering a brighter smile when he says the bakery bag is for her. "Thank you!" Though for now she doesn't take anything from it. Just sets the bag on the empty spot beside her. "I am glad you're okay. It looked scary." A beat of pause. "...I'm sorry I didn't stay." Because it had recently come to her attention that maybe she should have lingered at least a little longer. But hey! He was alive. So it all worked out. "Is your car okay?"

"No, seriously thank you. And Bennie sends along her gratitude, she's apparently rather fond of my ass and prefers it living and not burnt." He takes a big gulp of his beer and brushes off her concern about not staying. "No problem. I think we all just wanted to get the hell out of there. It was... unsettling at best." He shakes his head with mock sadness at the question about his car, "Sadly no. It's dead. But better it than me I guess."

"I don't-Oh! I do!" Isolde nodded. "She is welcome! She warned me about the pie. I am sorry about your car though." She added sincerely and then straightened up a bit. "The house!" Down to business. "I learned things about the people. The Murray family." She shifts a bit and pulled a folded piece of yellow notebook paper out, setting it down and slid it over to him. "The house is a bad thing. We know that. The shadows are bad things. I think...the shadows...the house...infected the Murray people. Is that possible?"

The fact that Bennie warned Isolde about the pie makes perfect sense to him, he assumes Gina's. But then she gets down to business and he nods seriously. "Yea, okay." He accepts the paper and opens it up as she talks. He nods along until the part about 'infecting' the people, which causes his eyebrows to raise. "I have no idea if that's possible, or how a house is a 'bad thing' I mean.. I guess I thought it took something to make a place dark or whatever. But I don't know much about any of this. I just want to help that little girl if we can."

The paper has a few key notes written on it. The last people to live in the house were Elloise and Michael Murray. They had 5 kids, two of them died. Every generation has kids that die. Even moving away from town didn't help. There is a relative named Mickey who lives a few hours away that went missing and then reappeared two weeks later when he was a kid. But even though the house sits empty now there is still occurrences of disappearances, suicides, and a murder-suicide. "Murrays were the only family to live there...and their trouble followed." A little shrug of her shoulders. "Like...like maybe there was a bad thing in the house already...and it followed them. Well, part of it. We should find out who the ghost lady was...maybe that will help find the girl too. And talk to the Mickey guy..."

"The Murrays." He nods and tries to think about what that means and how that works and then he decides he needs a drink. He frowns and says, "Yea, ghost chick was old though, I mean unless she had some weird vintage nightgown collection she looked like she wasn't recent. When did you say the Murray's lived there? I doubt she's from anytime recently... unless they brought her with?" He's really more questions than answers about all of this still.

Isolde tries to think on it and then shakes her head. "I don't remember exact dates. But the family has lived there a long, long time. Maybe she's the ghost of an old Murray." She offered, resting her chin in her hands. "I want to go back to the house. Maybe there is more information. Alexander says I should go with you because you have guns." She giggled then. "And I will not try to hurt the guns..." Unlike some people from their little group last time.

"That makes sense. Maybe something awful happened a long time ago? And then that caused the house to be a bad place?" He frowns and then perks up when she says she wants to go back. "Wait Alexander said that? I'm shocked. I thought he didn't approve." He smiles and says, "I'm glad to hear that. I have to say, I'm pretty sure that other guy was there to fuck with us. Otherwise why would he mess with my guns?" By the end he's scowling, dead serious about Alex (not Alexander) being an actual enemy.

"Maybe! That is what I want to find out." Isolde tilted her head slightly. "I don't know...but he wanted me to be careful. And having guns may be careful. Though...you did try to shoot a ghost..." A little bit of a smirk on her lips but it faded. "I don't know about the other guy. Maybe guns made him nervous. Maybe he thought the bad things would make you use the gun on us? " Lowering her voice a bit. "Between us - I can use guns well. If I had one, I would have brought one too." Back to normal pitch. "We should go soon. In the day.. Maybe there are clues we couldn't see."

"Hey, it could have worked!" But well, it didn't. He shrugs at the perfectly acceptable reasons that Alex might have attacked his poor gun. He begrudgingly says, "Maybe." He then quirks an eyebrow at Isolde and says, "That can be arranged." He has plenty of guns, not that he's about to advertise that. He nods at the plan and says, "Daytime is probably best."

"Cool." Isolde flashed another smile when he said it could be arranged. Not that she would ever tell Alexander that she had one. Unless it came up...she wouldn't lie to him. Anyway. "Yes, the shadows are smaller I think and it's easier to see with sunlight than flashlights." A sage nod. "Do you think the ghost girl was really the missing one? Alexander suggested maybe it was something different. Trying to make us think it was her. Because she had the old clothes on too."

Easton shrugs and doesn't commit to anything yet. He isn't sure he trusts her yet to handle a gun under pressure after all, even after her assurance. He agrees with a nod about it being smarter to go in the day. "I don't know. I mean, she startled the crap out of me. I didn't get a great look, but really I'm not sure it matters in those places. Up can be down and up at the same time I think." At least it feels that way.

"You're right." Isolde agreed, furrowng her brow. "Especially here. The good and bad are so mixed up. That's why it's gray you know." Tapping her fingers lightly on the table. "But we will go. My days are currently very free. So you tell me when you want to. And we can look. And hopefully find the girl."

Easton isn't exactly thrilled to be right about how screwed up these places are. "Give me a day, but then it's on. And I hope so."

No one would be thrilled really. But, thems the breaks! Isolde nodded. "Just text me! Thank you again for the goodies." Flashing another smile as she picked up the bag and started to stand up. "Have a good night Easton. See you soon."

"Okay." He nods somberly at the thought of going back into that house willingly. But then he gives at least an approximation of a cheerful smile as he bids her good night. "You too!"
