With Autumn coming along nicely and hopefully the police aren't swamped at the moment, there has been a new arrival to town. Some recent updates having made the irishman come along to Gray Harbor. First stop. Police Department. As such Ryan find himself stepping inside. Looking to find someone in position to talk to regarding one of the people kept in jail. Humming a bit to himself while waiting. Sitting in a navy shirt, that he keeps buttoned up, except for the top button. A grey sui hanging over the chair he sits on. Dark grey pants and brown shoes.

The girl at the front desk informs him that someone will be down shortly to help him, then resumes talking with the phone held between her ear and shoulder, while she fills out some paperwork. A few minutes later, as promised, the door at the back buzzes and a tallish Hispanic man in a suit steps out. He spots the guy sitting and waiting, and angles toward him, hand held out to shake. "Captain de la Vega. And you are?"

Ryan does watch the people that move around the place. Humming a bit still. Hearing the door and seeing the man stepping out and moving towards him. Ryan thus rises up to offer his hand. "Hello captain. Ryan Carrick." He offers with just a hint of irish in his voice. "I've heard that someone that I have been looking for is here. Shauna Carrick. My sister." He explains. "Wanting to talk to you about bail for her." He continues, a bit straight to the point. "Apologies for the lack of small talk, but I assume you are a busy man as well."

"That's fine." A shake, firm but not overpowering, and the cop sniffs once. Looks to be getting over a cold of some sort. "Not contagious, don't worry," he assures the man. A nod, then, when the prisoner's mentioned. "Miss Carrick. Yes, you must be Ryan Carrick. Her brother?" He brought her paperwork down, since the receptionist mentioned her. It's slid out of a folder, and thumbed through until he finds, "The release form. You just need to sign here as her guarantor, and she's free to go. There's a hearing she'll need to show up to, or she's risking a fine and possibly jail time." He sniffs again, and waits for the man to read the form over.

A nod given in return, meeting him with a firm shake as well. "Good to hear. Would be unpleasant to get sick already." He offers to the captain. Nodding again about who he is. "Indeed. And I'll do that. I'm also happy to pay any bail and fines." He asures him. Shrugging some. "Is it possible to not let her know I let her out? I'll get to her at her place. But would prefer to not have her freak out here." Not really going into details right now.

"Bail hasn't been set, so there's nothing for you to pay." He'll wait for Ryan to sign the paperwork before tearing off one of the sheets and gesturing to the girl at the desk. "She can help you sort out the details of the court date, and your sister will be released on her own recognizance. Good luck."

A smile and a nod offered to Ruiz. "Thank you." If offered to the other man before he signs and will gather his stuff to leave. Giving a small wave as he thanks him one last time. "Take care, Captain de la Vega." Moving to get some final help by the girl at the desk.

A brief smile from the captain, and he lingers a moment like he wants to say something else. But eventually nods and departs, buzzing into and disappearing through the back door from whence he came.

Ryan does stop but then Ruiz is off so he turns back to finish the last few things with the desk girl before heading off, or going wherever needed.
