(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : Ronnie? You awake?
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : (After a long While) I am now. What's up, Mags?
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : (Almost immediately, the '...' start up. Magnolia isn't asleep) I dreamed of dad. Pretty sure it was a Dream. Capital D. He said he needed me to do something.
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : (On Byron's side the '...' do not start up for another 3 minutes. He could be groggy. He could be pondering what to type next) Are you sure it was your dad? What does he want you to do?
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : I'm sure it was the Weird taking on the shape and mannerisms of my dad. It wants me to go digging under a dog house on Elm street.
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : How do you feel about that? Believing that it's the Weird?
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : There are a lot of houses on Elm.
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : White dog house on Elm Street. It had me repeat it.
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : I'm pretty pissed that it took the form of my dad. What kind of low blow shit is that?
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : (There's some bouncing dots that linger then disappear. After a moment then start up again) There's no possibility that it could be your dad? Your real dad?
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : I'm asking because so many of our friends have relatives who disappeared. If this possibly could be your dad...
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : (lots of silence, and then) How can you ask me that? If Dad was in there, he would have gotten out. He wouldn't have stayed disappeared.
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : How though? How can anyone get out?
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : I don't know but he would have found a way.
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : You think I should go dig up under that dog house. You think if it's Dad I should do it.
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : (Long silence) You're right. I'm sure he would. I'm just holding out hope that those who have disappeared might have a chance to return again. You know?
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : This could be a trap. This could be anything, Maggie.
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : But I understand that you have a need to know. To find out.
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : I'll help you look if you want me to.
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : I know, Ron.
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : Look I'm not sure I can handle this. I got this Lover's Jewel shit and everything else. Maybe you can take someone and go check it out? If it's something then we can do something but if this is just another game I don't think anyone should get involved. Fuck the consequences.
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : (Another long silence) I have a festival coming up starting on Halloween. But, I'll see what I can do in the mean time. A white dog house on Elm. Got it.
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : (Another long silence on her own end) I'm sorry. I don't meant to put this on you. I don't know who else to ask. I don't think I can ask Charlie to do this. You're the one I trust here.
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : Sorry. I'm rambling. I haven't slept since I woke up.
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : It's okay. The rambling. I'd be the same way too if it happened to me. Listen, I'll look around. I have a few friends who live in the area. Maybe they know of someone with a white dog house.
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : I owe you. Really.
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : I just want to get to the bottom of this as much as... almost as much as you do. 🙂
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : I'll make a few calls and drive around some time tomorrow. Let you know if I find anything.
(TXT to Byron) Magnolia : Thanks, Ron. I'm going back to sleep.
(TXT to Magnolia) Byron : Not a problem. Goodnight.
