And yet another class has been dismissed at the art gallery. This one, a pottery class, takes a bit more time to clean up. The saucers made are slowly taken and put on a strong shelf so harm does not come to them. Then, of course, is the issue of the food bits left behind. Students help pay the expenses though so Hera tries not to complain too much about the mess they make. Instead, she gets a broom and goes to sweeping. "I'm glad this group didn't ask for wine." She comments, thinking that they last thing they should have done was drink and get near the pottery kiln. Then Hans, her overworked dog, gives her a bit of a dejected look. "Oh crap." She tells him, "I forgot to feed you this morning. Ok boy, I'm getting it." When he sees her go for the food he begins to wag his tail a little. Maybe now the day will go right?

Kim head through the door to the gallery, while on her phone. Speaking in rapid fire Japanese for a short time before changing back to English "Really dad I'm fine." she starts as she begins to look around the place "It isn't the first time I've been out of the city at work..." pausing while she listens "Look I have to go. No I really have to go, I'll give you a call later tonight to let you know I'm alive." she sighs as she hangs up the line. It is great to be worried about but it does get annoying. Oh well she is hear to relax and see what sort of art is available in this town, also maybe to see about getting of her stuff here. One thing at a time though as she looks about the place in earnest.

Hera makes sure she gets her dog the right food and gently puts the bowl in front of him. Eagerly the four legged staff members get to chomping. He does look over at Kim though and wow, she's not too big so she can't be much of a threat, right? For now that's dog logic, especially since he is VERY interested in the food.

Hera does look over and she offers a bit of a smile, "Welcome to Vivid Dreams." She says but before giving her basic spill she notices the Asian woman and says, "I think, I have seen you before, if I am not mistaken."

Kim turns her head over to Hera as she is welcomed in. "Vivid Dreams? That's a nice name of course I probably should have noticed the sign, yeah?" she says with a smile. The question bring a tap of her chin with her finger as she thinks "You know I think so. Portland's new talents expo, right? At least I think so and you do look familiar. Pretty distinctive actually. Kim Nakamura." reintroducing herself while heading over to extent her hand towards Hera.

Hera offers her hand in return and shakes the Asian woman's hand. "Hera." Her introduction shorter but she continues, "Yes, your work was rather vibrant, if I am remembering right. Sort of surrealstic with a bit of an Oriental theme. Time has passed though. I didn't know you were in town. If I knew I would have loved to have you by for the evening class on Tuesday. You'll really love this place though." she grins, "It's a true utopia, and a dream come true for lost souls. But, don't let me ramble on. Can I get you something to drink?"

Kim nods as she gives the hand a light shake in return "Thanks for saying so and that sounds like the piece I submitted. Good to meet you again Hera. That piece was during my getting back to my roots phase. I'm trying my hand more on portraits these days, still working on it. Sorry I'm going on aren't I? Just got into town a few days. Really burying my head in work and well needed to go poke around to see the sights. If you don't mind me saying so I'm bit surprised to see you in town. But someone has to continue the arts in all places, yeah?" she says excitedly, though excited is probably her default mode. "But oh yeah a class. I'd love to drop by. Being in a place for lost souls sounds fun, if a little small. Huh some tea if you have it would be great or coffee...hhmmm a combination of coffee and tea?"

Hera smiles a little and says, "Let's just say I left another place and came here with my hopes and dreams for a better life. So far, nothing has disapointed me. This small city is my new home and I think the interest in the arts is growing. We shall see though. Coffee, now that's no problem at all. I might have some tea but it would take a moment to find it." In the meantime, Hans goes to finishing his food and now licks at the bowl. Poor doggie was hungry. At the mention of work though Hera can't help but ask, "So, you sound like you have some projects going on in this area?"

Kim ahs "Nothing wrong with that at all. I mean aren't we all looking for better life and something more?" giving a tiny and cute sigh as she finishes. Giving a small shake of her as if to get rid of the thought. "But really that sounds great that you found a home and if it helps the arts grow then bonus. Well you don't have to go to any trouble...I mean whatever you have on hand." giving a look over some of the pieces and probably any of the leftover pottery. She does glance over to the dog as she answers "One big one, I swear they have equipment from the 90's and the code is so slap shot it's going to take me months to get into shape. I mean agh it's just a nightmare. Not that it isn't fun, but still just agh!"

Hera goes over to put on a pot of coffee and waits for the brew machine to do its job. "I think so. Believe it or not I did major in business though in college so, reality is reality, I do need to make sure this place stays profit driven, at least to some extent." She does give the woman a curious look as she asks, "Code?" but the mention of the 90s she chuckles, "I remember those time better than most. I'm the oldest one among my friends and all, likely way older than you."

Javi walks down the street, reading the signs of the downtown businesses as he goes by, trying to commit them to memory. Rather than pulling out his phone, he has a small, moleskine-like notebook that he jots in with a half pencil that's all stored in the breast pocket of his gray wool coat. He stops when he comes across the gallery, thinks on it for a moment and grins, then pulls the door open and steps inside. He's still smiling as he looks around, eyebrows raising here and there as he studies the place.

Kim walks over by Hera as they both wait for the machine "Hard to manage actually. Well I guess not so hard after all...you do have make a living. How has business been in the town?" she squints her eyes at the question. Then ohs "Right you only now about me from the art world. I mean I love my painting, but that isn't my day job. I'm a specific type of programmer. Security stuff that you'd probably find very boring. If I had my way I'd be doing both full-time. Alas I can't find enough time for both on that scale." she gives small laugh "I can't say I remember much from the 90's. And you don't look that old, I'd guess we're around the same age." giving a glance when Javi comes in and if he's gaze falls her way a brief and friendly smile. To be polite of course.

Hera blushes a little when Kim mentions 'she doesn't look that old.' It's then that she violates that one 'rule' that women never do, talk about their age, "33" she says, "Had a horrible start at life but now, I have all this. The 90s were, a bit interesting. The internet is really what made it all worthwhile, but some of the music was interesting as well." She goes to reach for a few cups then pauses to look over at Javi, "Welcome to Vivid Dreams Sir" her tone polite and pleasant, "Please, enjoy yourself. Would you like some coffee?"

Javi does look over at them and when acknowledged, he nods politely. He's dressed stylishly, in a grad student/thrift store sort of way. Well worn, perhaps on the edge of worn out, brown leather shoes in an Italian style. Well fitting, though naturally distressed blue jeans and a navy blue, v-neck sweater with a few small moth holes which are mostly hidden by his gray wool coat. Slung over his shoulder is an equally well used, but well crafted, leather messenger bag. "Coffee would be amazing," he replies, his face lighting up as he's genuinely pleased by the offer. "This place... wow. I didn't expect an art scene in such a small town." He starts walking over to the two women and hot beverages.

Kim really wasn't trying to flirt, not more than she usual does. She looks a little embarrassed at the blush. When Hera states her age she just shrugs "Yeah really not old at all. Still plenty young and not too many years ahead of me. I am cursed to look like I'm barely old enough to drink and barely will be into my forties, just like mom." she adds jokingly before looking more serious "Oh I'm sorry you had a bad start. But hey like you said it's better now right? The internet though yeah that was just amazing. So much knowledge in one place...not that it isn't without it's downside. Everything else more than makes up for it would." not that the internet is something she is passionate about or anything. Her face brightening up at the coffee. She turns her head towards Javi "I know right? I didn't expect it either. It's a pleasant surprise and I've probably found a new hangout."

Hera pours three cups then, the coffee nothing fancy but it's rich and ready to do its purpose of energizing and comforting the drinkers all in one. "This isn't really an official coffee shop, so, I don't really have the expensive stuff." she notes. But responding to Javi she says, "Oh there is one, and I'm glad to be behind it all, I really am. I haven't had too much trouble either which, is a good thing." She offers sweetners and cream as well and says, "Thank you Kim. This lady here is a fantastic artist. I assume you like art Sir?"

Javi slides the nearest cup to him with a grateful nod. "I get the drip coffee at the shops anyhow." He unfastens the buckle to his bag and fishes out a small, yellow envelope which he holds over his drink and sprinkles something fragrant into it. "I'm glad to have stumbled across this place, I've only been here for about a week now. And," he says, turning to Hera, "I'm really into other people's art. I'm sort of a technical artist myself."

Kim nods as she accepts the cup "It really doesn't look like a coffee shop. Coffee is still coffee though and even bad coffee is still good." she says before taking a sip of the rich smelling beverage "No that I'm trying to say this is bad coffee." she adds in a hurry. "Trouble though? You did say not too much, if you don't mind me asking what sort of trouble have you had?" she says her cheeks getting red at being called a fantastic artist. "I won't say fantastic. Talented maybe and certainly decent." her interest piqued at the envelope "Oh what sort of spice is that? It smells interesting." she inquires before adding "Another artist? What sort of art do you do?"

Hera looks over at Javi with a bit of interest, "Technical art?" she asks, "Like, digital work? That sounds interesting. I have some experience with computers but not much. If you have any type of portfolio, I'd love to see it. I truly enjoy showing off the local talent." Then a smile is given to Kim, "You should give yourself more credit. Many people thought your work was amazing. As far as trouble well, nothing really, just someone staring in my windows getting on my nerves. It's not as bad as I say it is."

Javi closes the little flap of on the envelope. "It's cinnamon and chile," he replies, pronouncing chile with a heavy accent. "It's how my abuela served it. I started off a cartographer, went to school for it and was disappointed by not being able to hand draw anything. Went back for scientific illustration, with an emphasis on botany. There's nothing daring about my work, no artistic truth."

Kim ahems, her cheeks still a little flushed "I will take it into consideration. I still don't think it's amazing, but you know what they say about the worst critic. You know though I do have some more recent painting I bring by. Maybe get your opinion on them and perhaps have put a few up for sale? But that's probably getting ahead of things...just your opinion first." before nodding "That doesn't show too bad. More creepy than anything." She tilts her head to the side at Javi's answer "That does sound very interesting. Would you mind if I tried some...Ah oh wait I hadn't introduced myself. Hi I'm Kim it's nice to meet you." she does sometimes forget pleasantries in a conversation "You know not that I'm a full time artist, but we find our own truths in our art. Even if it is technical. That's my thoughts at least."

Hera smiles toward Kim and says, "You should. Don't doubt yourself. When you doubt yourself you stifle the creative process. I guess maybe I should have a date set where I could have an auction for some of the local talent to show their work and try to get some money off of it. St. Jude is always a good charity." At the sight of the envelope she says, "I think a few people I knew in Austin used to do something similar. Tex Mex foods, now that was some good stuff. Not the best, but good regardless. I guess I became too much of a wine drinker though."

"Javi," he says happily as he passes the envelope to her. "I won't argue about truth, but it's rare to come across other artists who really appreciate what I do. Realism and the idealized form are important, rather than interpretation. Regardless, I love it and it's managed to pay the bills...most of the time." He nods to Hera, "Agreed, TEX-Mex isn't the best, but I'll fight for the Mex part of it."

Kim gives a nod of her head "I wouldn't call it doubt. I just don't spend as much time at it than I do other things. However you are probably right too much of it and I'll probably miss chances in my paintings. That does sound like a great idea. Showcase some local talent and raise some money for charity." she accepts the envelope putting a little of the combination in her coffee before handing it back. She takes a experimental sip savoring the flavor and spiciness of it. "Thank you Javi. That is certainly a unique taste." to her credit not coughing as she has tried far weirder stuff "In my experience if you haven't come across other artist who appreciate it, then you are probably around the wrong type. You have to open to all sorts of things as art, at least in my opinion. But hey what do I know. Can't say I've ever had much tex-mex but there was a great Mexican place in Portland. I wonder if there is at least a good Mexican place here."

Hera begins to pour a cup of coffee for herself and says, "Well, almost all art has something to be appreciated. There are always exceptions you know, definitely. I would go so far to say somethings should just not be created. Some of the paintings from the other night were really good though. Many roses. I'm more partial to the red ones but the yellow ones, were very popular. Then again I'm lucky to have my own florist and well, my own security." She looks over at her dog who is dutiful with what he does but Kim did mention something that interests her, "Did you say something about, security yourself?"

On his way past, jogging by one window, it's almost like a little ritual or at least the beginnings of one.

The swaying long black hair, held backpack over his left shoulder, running, jogging to the gym only a few doors down. The massive shadow parting people on the sidewalk until he gets to the last window, to minimize the retaliation.

BAM BAM BAM

Everett's flat palm strikes the window of the art gallery three times, while he wears a smug smirk.

Javi shrugs a bit, "You're probably right, but I've avoided participation in the gallery scene on account of it." He sips at his coffee and closes his eyes to savor it. "Dios mío," he mumbles and opens his eyes again, "Mexican cinnamon, canela, is so much smoother. I understand the point you're making and obviously I think my work is worthwhile." He quiets down and listens while they start talking about security.

Kim looks thoughtful over Hera's opinion "I really can't disagree with you there. Even the stuff that maybe shouldn't exist at least had meaning to the person who made it." she says. "Ah some nice roses you say. Are they still around I'd love to see them." at least before the can of worms is opened. "Yeah computer security. Making networks nice and secure from outside interference while allowing them to still connect to the outside world. But eh you probably aren't interested in hearing the particulars." realizing she is about to start nerding out and refrains. She is about to say something to Javi when the loud bang on the windows makes the small woman jump, spilling some of her coffee in the process. Followed by some cursing in another language though Baka would certainly stand out as she looks around and her brain registers those weren't gun shots.

Hera grunts a bit when she sees Everette 'grace' the window with his presence. She thinks <<Drugs, it's got to be drugs, people on pure air don't act like that.>> Well, maybe he gives her a reason to really hire someone to wash the glass? Whatever the case may be she rolls her eyes and says, "The cavemen figured out how to use a phone, they called and want their hair back." She really doesn't intend for that remark to be funny for him but if it entertains her guests, she's happy. "He steps in he's going to figure out just how Hans likes to eat his balls, if he has any that is." Yup, hopefully the hunky hunk didn't hear all that, but she tells Javi, "Sorry if the scenery isn't all that nice and Kim, maybe I should hear what you have to say about computer security. Obviously you never know when someone is watching."

Javi , having the benefit of looking towards the window, doesn't spill as he flinches. He watches Kim for a moment, then quickly glances over to Hera to be sure everything is ok. He takes a drink from his coffee and and tries to reply too quickly, having to slurp a just a little. "No, no, everything here is great. I've been kind of off my game since I've been here. I keep getting feelings of deja vu, jamais vu, or something." He shakes his head, "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. If this is a private conversation with the security stuff and all, there's a whole gallery for me to check out."

Kim put her hand to her chest and breathes deeply to calm down. This is probably the trouble Hera talked about and Hera doesn't seem all that concerned. Regaining her demeanor and gives a small giggle at Hera's joke. "Well I'm really not into that type of camera based security. I know how to set it up though and well it's better to keep things recorded incase it is needed. I could work up something for you and it wouldn't be all that expensive. If you mean keeping your data secure than is something else...Ah do you happen to have a towel or something. Sorry I made a mess of your floor and can clean it up." yep just pretend she wasn't startled and everything is normal. Looking back at Javi "Sorry I spilled it. Really the spices were very nice. I mean I'm talking about basic stuff and I don't mind if Hera doesn't."

Hera goes to get a few napkins that are not too far away. When she returns she tells Javi, "Oh you aren't interupting, not at all and I'm serious about seeing some of your art. Kim's is fantastic but, yeah, no objections to doing an auction here when more things get in order? The classes are really going great, better than I expected and well, don't mind him. I think he's got the hots for Nicole or something, the local hairdresser, sweet lady. It might be because he needs to get his hair worked on himself." She does help Kim with the mess that might have been made, and perhaps poor Everette isn't around to defend himself from such remarks.

Javi smiles at his two new acquaintances. "Thanks, I've been spending a lot of time alone lately and it's good to have someone to talk to for a change. I can bring a few finished pieces by, they aren't exciting, but as far as technical skill goes, I'd like to think that I'm top notch." He chuckles and drinks a little more. "It's mostly plant life, though not landscapes, individual specimens for the most part. I have a few illuminated maps that I'm really proud of and other various things where proportion and scale are king." He just sort of watches them gossip before spacing out a bit.

Kim gives a nod to Hera using the Napkins to clean up along with Hera. "A good charity auction would probably do good things for the shop. You know he has a sort of a odd way of showing it...but right just ignoring him. I can't really argue that he needs to have something done with his hair. Wait you know a local hair dresser, you'll have to interduce me sometime. I do my dyeing myself, but I still need to get touch ups." looking up as she finishes her quick clean up work "You know Javi I'd love to some of your stuff as well. You know individual specimens are good as well. Certainly sounds like you have passion for it. Speaking of unexpected things in town and well probably going back to wine as well...either of you planning to go to the lgbt get together. I saw a meetup online and it sounds like a fun way to get to know the community. Not that either of you have to be part of the rainbow, just a ally or at least okay with it."

Hera shrugs and says, "For me, it was kind of like the New York ball celebration. I didn't have anyone to go with until Beth and Stephanie asked me to come along. Events like that well, I just don't like going by myself very often. For what it's worth I'm glad the town is having a bit of an open minded approach to such things. We are all human, that's the way I look at it. Whatever someone decides if true love is found, that's a true gift. It rarely happens it seems." She looks back over to the two and asks, "Are you two going but, oh my! I almost forgot." Someone mentioned flowers, right? Well it so happens that the table tops have lovely arrangements of white roses and baby breath. Each offers both Javi and Kim a vase, "One for each of you, for coming in to brighten my day."

Javi raises his eyebrows in surprise. "Thanks, that's really kind of you." He takes the vase offered to him and starts pulling out the flowers so as to return the vessel. "I hadn't heard about the LGBT thing, but it's certainly the sort of thing I'd like to go to. I'm not much of a loner, I grew up with a strong community and it's something that my mother taught me to value. It seemed a lot easier though when I was younger. I like to blame technology, but I'm sure every generation does so eventually."

Kim nods her head to Hera "Well I am vaguely planning on. I am sorta the same way if I'm not going with someone it's hard to go. Since I didn't know anyone in town it made it a bit tougher than it should be, but if you'd like to go I'd love to have you there. Yeah it really is great to see a town on the smaller side being able to be so open. Like you said love is love or basically what you said. I fall under the pansexual side myself, that could be a little TMI." when Hera gets the vases she does accept the vase. "Wow thank you. They are very pretty, I can't just accept it though. Ah let me give you something for it." she reaches into her pocket for her wallet. "Hhmmm yeah it's a meet and greet event with booze. I probably still have the meetup on my phone, it has a address and stuff. I mean I wouldn't blame tech it is probably harder for community get togethers in real life. Things are easier online, not always better. Anyway what I'm trying to say it would be great to have you along as well."

Hera smiles and says, "Well, let's go then, and the flowers are gifts for the both of you. Actually what will end up happening is I will throw out the arrangements so they don't wilt. I made a very good deal with a florist. I teach her art and she makes these arrangements for me." Then, being a bit naive, she says, "What exactly is pan sexual. I mean, I know there's like, straight, gay, bi but, what does pan mean? I don't mean to offend but I just really, don't know what it means."

Javi doesn't offer to pay for the flowers, but clearly has no intention of keeping the vase either. "I'm not sure anyone has ever given me flowers before." He's looking down at them, his face showing a new sort of appraisal. "I have a hard time understanding some of it too, the sexuality thing. I think the way my culture blends with American culture makes things different." He looks up from the arrangement at Kim, waiting for her explanation.

Kim puts her wallet away and is tempted to give the red head a hug "Great and thank you. I mean since you were just going to throw them out anyway." Kim doesn't look offended at all "It's okay a lot of people don't know the term. It's pretty easily confused with bi-sexual. Anyway it is basically someone who is attracted to people's personalities rather than their gender. So for pan people sometimes with their own gender or opposite, but not based on physical attraction. Does that clear it up?" she asks after trying to explain to both of them. "I've had a few latin friends and you could be right about culture thing. Same with parents as they really came from a different culture. As the ever expanding rainbow has a lot of terms. I don't think I know all of them and I'm pretty active eh...at least I was in Portland."

Hera mouths the words 'People's personalities instead of gender?' That seems to confuse her, but she just shrugs. She is tempted to ask more but going off into this region, likely that wouldn't be a good idea. "I guess I'm a bit, clueless I /know/ there are men who find men attractive ad women who find women attractive but...personalities? We should all be attracted by personality anyway if you think about it but, it can't be that simple, can it?" Is the woman really that naive about the whole thing? Maybe....maybe not?

Javi nods in agreement with Hera. "When I was growing up, there were no lesbians and you were only gay if you uh... accepted a man into your body. I don't know, we didn't talk about those things much. They were sins after all. I understand the LGBT basics, but the Q plus things, I don't know. I have a difficult time with gender identity too outside of the simple things. Male, female, third gender, and no gender make sense to me. Beyond that though, ayayay, I don't know."

Kim gives a shrug "I'm not trying to say other sexualities don't find personalities attractive...eh but take the guy that pounded on the window. I'm sure in the conventional sense he's attractive, but someone like me wouldn't have any interest. Also say someone thinks of themselves as straight and really falls for someone of the same gender for what they are like. It probably isn't going to work out since they aren't attracted physically right? For a pansexual person that isn't a problem." at least on this subject she is knowledgeable. It really is that simple for her. She gives Javi a understanding look. "I am sure there were people around it just wasn't talked about. I can get culture difference and like anything it just takes time. There is /alot/ in q plus and well I can answer about a lot of that stuff. Any case you ever want to know more...I have this habit of getting info on things I'm interested in."

Hera hears something go CRASH way far off on another side of the room. Yup, it's Queso with his antics. She groans and says, "I better go...check this out." Never a dull moment it seems. Getting up though she says, "See you tonight Kim and both of you, please stay around and enjoy yourselves."

Javi starts to say something and then changes his mind. "So um, how is pansexual different from a uh...non-shallow bisexual?" He purses his lips as he considers it, but with the crash, he whips his head around. "This place, it's so calm and quiet and then..." He claps his hands togehter, "BAM! Something startles you." He chuckles and brushes a strand of hair away from his face. "Thanks for the coffee and the flowers, it's appreciated really."

Another loud sound has the small woman almost jump again. Kim is a little jumpy today, it could be the caffeine. When Hera gets up to see what is going she adds after her "Yep it seems that way. Yeah I'll see you tonight and thank you for the rose." she trails off for a few moments, oh right the topic "I mean I suppose we really aren't, it is just defining ourselves physical stuff. Though I can't even count the times my friends got into a bad relationship because of a pretty face. With myself and other pan people like me that doesn't happen...as much. Not saying we're perfect it is really just a way of saying what you have down there isn't important." she gives a nod "Yeah if it wasn't for calm of the place it wouldn't be so alarming when it's broken. Just so serenity and boom not anymore."

Javi looks up and shakes his head as he thinks about this, "So, then perhaps pansexual people are a subset of bisexuals that simply cast off physical attractiveness? Am I saying this right? Sorry, it's never been explained to me before. Refining a subset makes far more sense than a completely new category." He starts returns his little envelope to his messenger bag and pulls the flowers fully from the vase, which he leaves on the table. He finishes his coffee, though lingers to see to the end of the conversation.

Kim considers his point "I suppose you can think of it that way. Most pan people would disagree with you, but that isn't a bad way of looking at. Don't worry I can understand what you are getting at and it being a new term to you. It really become a category in the rainbow a good while ago, the term however never really caught on. So eh looking at it in that way isn't wrong at all. Just depends on how you look at things." but that was just part of it after all. "Also did you feel like joining Hera and me later tonight? Pretty sure they're probably wouldn't be too many self identified pan-sexuals." she jokes giving a small giggle.

Javi listens and nods, "Labels are always tricky, but epistemology," he slows down on the word and his accent gets heavier, "might have a different conclusion." He seems amused at some unspoken joke. "I understand my ignorance though, I've tried many times to explain things about my culture or even language, and the subtleties are hard to pin down." He adjusts his coat and his bag, making sure everything is ready to go. "I'll try to make it, really. If there is a crowd to fall into, I'd rather it be the open minded one. Besides, my Mexican sexuality is clear, but my American one is a little more confusing I think." He grins mischieviously, showing plenty of teeth. "I do have to get going though, I'm supposed to look at an apartment. My living arragement has sort of been a day by day affair."

Kim doesn't quite seem to get the humor. Word play isn't exactly her thing though. "Yeah subtleties are hard to get across sometimes. Oh the subject I'd be overjoyed to learn about the culture you came from. As I have had some latin friends I've had none from Mexico. I do hope you can make and with any luck it will be open minded here. Some can be as closeminded as others. But right I should get going as well, I have a little bit of work to finish up and get ready for tonight. And if you discover a different American sexuality there well I'm sure that would be fine as well." she gives him a smile before getting up herself and ready to head out. "Good luck on the apartment hunting. I should probably get on that as well...but the company is footing my hotel bill so I'm not in a huge hurry. It was great meeting Javi and I hope to see you tonight or around." offering him a handshake before he departs.

Javi reaches across the table to shake her hand. If they're leaving at the same time, he'll walk with her to and out the door.
