Katy is pleased with how the day is turning out so far. She can't help but smile as she watches Jonathan enjoying his lunch and takes pictures and video, of course. As the meal winds down, Katy pulls a website out on her tablet and she says, "So I got inspired by this article about the Top 9 most romantic places to kiss in Seattle and I thought it would be fun to take a selfie of us kissing at each one of these places to post on social media as part of my updates for today. We could walk around and just enjoy the fresh air while we're out."

Jonathan smiles as he hears that. "That's the scavenger hunt? Sounds like quite an interesting activity," he replies, with a smile. There's a brief pause, and a grin, "Are you sure you'll manage to both kiss and take the selfie at the same time?"

"I'm sure I can manage, babe," Katy replies playfully, "I mean it's not going to be every exact place, but I figure we could hit up a few of those spots for sure." As she finishes her lunch, she smiles. "Think you can manage?"

Looking a bit thoughtful for a few moments, Jonathan grins. "I'm sure I can manage," he replies, with a smile. "It sounds like an excellent way to explore a bit of the city," he adds, nodding.

After their meal, Katy retrieves her hoodie to put it on as she says, "This part's kind of cheesy but I couldn't help myself. But if you wanted to skip the whole thing, or just pick places out of the list, I'm fine with that too."

Jonathan grins as he hears that. "It might be kind of cheesy, but it still sounds like great fun," he replies, as he starts getting ready. "I'm all yours, my dear..."

"So I changed the list a little since the Great Wheel isn't on there. We totally need to just sit there and enjoy the view." Katy gathered her phone and tablet to put in her purse. When Jonathan says he's all hers, there's a visible biting of her lower lip as she goes, "Uh huh."

Raising an eyebrow lightly at the 'uh huh' answer, Jonathan offers her a grin. "I'm sure the change of the list works just as well." He looks around as he offers her another grin. "So, ready to head out there?"

"Yes, let's do this." Katy smiles as she leads them out to the car.

Katy drives them to their first destination, a place called Volunteer Park, where a water tower and the Volunteer Park Conservatory are, to grab their first selfies of the day.

Katy pulls up to the parking lot of Volunteer Park. "So apparently the water tower here is even taller than the Space Needle, and that the glasshouse that the Conservatory is in is so romantic that people have gotten married in there."

On the way over there, Jonathan has some stories to tell from the day when he played here as a junior. He grins as they reach Volunteer Park, nodding at what's being said. "It's a lovely place, this park. Always loved the area near the water tower."

"Yeah, it really is." Katy smiles as she exits the car.

Exiting the car as well, Jonathan smiles as he takes her hand. "So, any particular part of the park you'd like to see the most, my dear?" He smiles as he looks around the parking lot, then back to her. "Quite a lovely day for a walk in the park, right?"

"It's perfect," Katy says quietly as Jonathan grabs her hand. "I'm definitely quite interested in the view from the water tower but no particular requests." She smiles brightly at him as they walk forward.

Jonathan nods as he hears that, walking forward. "The water tower it is, then." He starts leading the way in that general direction, although he lets her decide on the pace. "Been a while since I was here last, but I think I'll get us there without getting us lost." It's offered rather lightly.

They walk quietly for a while before Katy speaks. "I know things were rough a few days ago...I just wanted to check in, make sure you were okay."

"You mean with the whole... dark thing?" Jonathan asks, before he offers another smile. "I believe I have recovered rather well. How about you?"

"I'm good. You'll have to thank your mother for me again the next time you see her." Katy smiles at this. "I was a little nervous about what she was going to think."

Jonathan smiles as he hears that. "She's always good with helping people," he offers, a bit quietly. "And I'm sure you'll get many chances to thank her yourself as well, right?" He nods a bit as he hears that last part. "She's used to the madness of Gray Harbor, my dear."

"Do you know if she Glimmers?" Katy asks in a hushed voice after hesitating for a moment.

"While I've never known for certain, now that I've thought about it more than before, I believe she does," Jonathan replies, in that same hushed tone.

"If that's the case, she probably knows that you do," Katy comments quietly, "She probably knows that I do."

Considering that for a few moments, Jonathan nods a bit slowly. "Probably," he replies, offering her another smile. "She's fiercely loyal to family, though. And as you know, she already seems to consider you part of the family."

"I appreciate that," Katy whispers. "You plan on telling her what's happened?"

As he hears that question, Jonathan pauses momentarily, before he adds, "Do you think we should? If not, I'm prepared to let it be a secret." As they walk, the tower is starting to come into view.

"I'll leave it up to you," Katy offers, "I have no problems with her knowing." She looks to the tower with a smile. "I hear the view's breathtaking at the top."

Nodding at her words, Jonathan smiles, "It's not a decision for this moment," he offers. Smile widening as he looks to the tower as well. "I've heard so as well. Perhaps that breathtaking view would make our selfie even better, hmmm?"

Katy simply nods in agreement. When they finally make it to the top of the tower, they are certainly not disappointed. The view is gorgeous and they take a moment to take it all in. "Wow..."

"It truly is as breathtaking a view as they say," Jonathan remarks, after a few moments of pause. "I never thought the city could be seen in such a lovely way."

Pulling her phone out from her purse, Katy gives Jonathan a kiss on the cheek as the first selfie is taken, before she kisses his lips passionately and takes another, a little blurry and out of focus since she isn't paying much attention to the camera.

Jonathan kisses her back just as passionately. The quality of the selfie is the least thing on his mind once their lips have met, fully focused on the passionate kiss for now.

When they finally pull away from the kiss, Katy says with a smile, "The view's not the only thing that's breathtaking here." She pauses then adds, "What do you want to do next? Botanical gardens? The Great Wheel?"

Jonathan smiles as he hears that. "True, the company is quite breathtaking as well." There's a brief pause as he considers the two options, before he smiles, "The Great Wheel sounds quite good. Should be another breathtaking view from there, right?"

Katy nods as she takes Jonathan's hand to move on.

Jonathan smiles, taking her hand as they move back towards the car. "I've never visited the Great Wheel before. It wasn't finished when I was staying here," he says, with a smile.

They stop by the Conservatory before leaving to take another kiss selfie at the beautiful historical glasshouse, then they head out to the Seattle Great Wheel. Along the way, they make various pit stops for more selfies (the Botanical Gardens, the Beach) until they make it to their final late afternoon destination.

"This has been so much fun, planing this birthday celebration for you," Katy says as they head towards the Great Wheel to pay for admission.

Smiling as they make their way towards the Great Wheel, Jonathan nods, with a smile. "It's quite a bit of effort that you've put into this work," he offers, with a quiet smile. "And I'm sure you know I really, really appreciate it." A brief pause, and a grin, "I hope the actual celebration has been fun for you as well, so far?"

When Katy is done paying for their tickets, she replies, "Of course it's been fun! I get such a kick out of seeing your reaction to every surprise. Your smiles make it all worthwhile." She grabs his hand as they walk to the Great Wheel.

"See, this is why you spoil me even more than you know," Jonathan replies, offering her another smile as she takes his hand again. "You make me feel like I'm the only man in the world, that I'm so very special," he replies.

"It's because you are, sweetheart. And I'll never stop reminding you." They step into one of the gondolas for their ride and once they're seated, she adds, "Besides, you always make me feel the same way, you've made me feel like the center of your world, even when I broke your heart..."

Jonathan smiles as he listens. He stays silent for a while longer, before he lets out a breath. "That's one good thing that came from that dark experience of ours. It made me realize even more how much I cherish the memory of the day we first met. The real memories of it."

"I just really loved all that time we spent that first year of really becoming close, and getting to know each other...all the cute texts and the calls..." Katy couldn't help but smile, remembering the simpler times.

Jonathan smiles as he hears that. "Back when life was less complicated," he replies, with a bit of a chuckle. "Those were good times, but the present is also a good time." He watches her for a few moments longer, before he adds, "Even the time after the breakup. I think us staying friends and in touch was very important for how we got here."

Katy simply nodded at Jonathan's words before she leaned in and placed her lips on his for the last selfie of the day, with the sun setting behind them.
