What would normally appear to be as a peaceful and clean haven for artists does not have the same look today. On most occasions, any paperwork would be put in neat piles or be nowhere to be seen. This time, there's paperwork scattered in various areas of the room where some of it shouldn't be seen by the public. A slight bad pet odor can be heard as if one of the four leggers needed to go outside for a 'break' but didn't but, that's not the worst odor in the room. Laying on the ground with her hair disheveled, Hera stares out into nothingness and less than a foot from her is a pile of puke. Next to the vomit are at least three bottled of opened wine lying on the ground and a bottle of what may pass as Benadryl near it. From a distance it may be hard to tell if she's conscious or not but she isn't moving. Her eyes are open but, at first glance, it may look like no one is home, mentally anyway.

Being the closer of her and Kim, to the gallery, Grace soon shows up with a smile on her lips. Peering inside. Winston rushing inside. Grace does notice something being off quickly enough. "Find Hans." She say to Winston, who probably just want to find his friend then. Grace rushing over to Hera to check on her. Not really medically skilled, trying her best. Sending a message for Kim to hurry. Not quite remembering the details on how to do it. Trying to see if she is breathing or not. Getting ready to carry Hera. "Stay here." Telling Winston, while looking around to see where Queso and Hans are.

Kim steps out of her Uber ride giving her thanks to the driver. She really hopes her car isn't booted, oh well she'll deal with it later. She first wanted to check in with love struck gallery owner and she has a lot she wants to talk about...some of it will have to wait. So much on Kim's mind. She moves with care into the gallery, she still isn't a hundred percent but at least the large bump on her head is now a medium sized one looking less angry. Opening the door at the same time she gets the text. Not that she has time to check it. The smell and as her eyes scan Hera on the floor with Grace next her. She rushes over to Hera, ignoring the vertigo that swift movement causes. "Hera. Can you hear me?" she says after reaching tapping the woman's cheek lightly.

Dogs have a much better sense of smell than humans do, which is really good because this place stinks. Winston can probably easily hone in on his doggy friend but in case he doesn't locate him immediately, the two ladies might be perceptive enough to hear scratches coming from one of the door leading to a different location in the building. Kim and Grace probably recognize it as the door that leads up to her apartment. Maybe the pets are behind there? For a change, Hera does mention Jessica when Kim begs her to talk. Instead she says two words that make little to no sense, "Sand...." then she slowly forms the word, "Thirsty." Sand, well maybe sand needs to drink? Obviously she can say something, but not much, and she looks like she continues to stare into oblivion.

Grace does try to find water for Hera, opening to let the dogs comfort one another as well before coming back to Hera. "Anything?" She ask Kim. Focused and worried for Hera. Trying to get a response for her. "Think we need to get her to a hospital. Car?" She asks, looking to Kim with teary eyes.

Kim is managing to keep her cool in the crisis. She can see the glow where there wasn't one on Hera before. Kim's own reaction was pretty bad and Hera's seems worse. She opens her hand and extends her thoughts quickly to Hera, glowing brighter. <Hera you will be okay. Grace and I are here to help> her feeling of calm coming through along with Kim's voice in Hera's mind. Oh more dizzy, having no idea what is wrong with her friend they probably will need to get her medical help. "I don't know. I am trying to help her out. It is a horrible idea if I drive, can you?" quickly fishing her keys out of her pocket and holding them in Grace's direction. "This isn't good Grace."

<FS3> Hera rolls Grit+Composure: Failure (3 3 3 1) (Rolled by: Hera)

Grace does try to compose herself. Reaching over to Hera's chest as when you do cpr. Accidently or on purpose something else seem to happen. However not quite how they would had wanted it. Seemingly does help to stabilize Hera some, but Grace jumps back, hands seemingly burnt or hurt at least. Before she collapses. Taking damage herself from it. Stirring some. "What happened." Murmured, before feeling scared but slowly coming to, not really fully present but trying to. Crawling a bit before throwing up. Hopefully in a nearby trash can. "Drive... Yes. I can?" She offers. Taking a moment to try and recover. A minute or two later and she will be on her feet. "Something feel wrong. We should hurry." Probably nothing with Hera, more something else. But that might not be good Hera either though. Sending off a message to have Faith look after the animals, and she'll probably clean up.

Grace does look a bit weaker but move to try and help get Hera up so they can get her to the car.

Hera is really really far from keeping cool in the crisis, very cool. While the two may not be able to figure out what's going on medically, it doesn't take much effort for the two to realize that yes, she is glowing in a way she didn't before. Kim, because she had her own awakening before, can only assume that a change had taken place, and things didn't go well. "Sand...thirsty..." Hera manages to say, "Thirsty, I needed to drink water, lots of water." But the bottles of wine were clearly NOT water then she rambles on more, "If I took my medicine, I would be better but." Then Kim tries to mentally comfort her. Hera isn't really aware of what is going on and she immediately sits up and covers her ears. Then she lets out a blood curling scream that terrifies Queso and sets Hans into a barking frenzy. It takes energy to scream like this though and she doesn't have much of it. Then, she passes out, fortunately not into the pile of vomit.

Yes, the three are going to the hospital, definitely the best option.

Kim looks over immediately when Grace collaspes. No, no she is torn between who to help, but then Grace is at least not unconscious. Agh she really wants to help them both. Hera does seem to be the worst off though. One thing at time Kim, that's how you get through things she thinks. "No, no. I'll manage..." that isn't going to be dangerous at all. "I can help lift her up and we can get her to the car. I don't think there is time to wait for ambulance." Kim effort to help Hera seemed to have the opposite effect and she has to cover her ears at the scream. Giving Hera time to recover both of them can carry Hera to the vehicle. Then at least one of them should be able to drive to the hospital without crashing the car. Maybe not with how their luck is going today.

Grace does stand up and moving to help out. "Sorry." Offered, feeling like she is making things worse rather than helping. The scream has Grace's head and ears ringing. Headache but still able to help. Gesturing for the dogs to try and calm down. "We will help her. You all relax and stay here." Then off towards the car with her. "I can drive." Not wanting Kim's concussion to get worse perhaps.

<FS3> Kim rolls Composure: Good Success (7 7 7 6 5 1 1) (Rolled by: Kim)

This is going to take time, and there's no easy way around the trip. The ladies are successful in getting Hera to where she needs to go. She's admitted and typical tests are run and finally put into one of those semi comfortable hospital beds. Fortunately now she's cleaned up and smelling better, even if an official shower would certainly not be a bad idea. It's not going to happen now though and the doctors don't even seem all that keen on giving her many drugs at the moment. Much conversing is done and at least two doctors talk with the concerned friends. "Good that you got her here." one of them says and fortunately, somewhere, Devlin was listed as a point of contact. Seems as if being her cousin, the medic, would never be bored.

There's plenty of space for the two to sit and a nurse checks an IV. "The fluids should help." Yes, Miss Nurse has a nack for stating the obvious. Of course there is no sleep for someone in such a room, so finally, Hera stirs. Blinking her eyes she says one of the words that first come to mind. "Jessica?" No, there's no Jessica here and she rubs her eyes to focus on her area. "I'm, not at home anymore." It's the most coherent sentence she's made since Kim and Grace found her though.

Another nurse comes in to check on them. Maybe a nurse practioner might result in a lower bill for Grace if she wants to get checked out? 😉

Time is not a issue for Kim as she is very concerned about her friends. She still doesn't know what went on with Grace and will give the wrestler many worried looks throughout the ordeal that is both the drive and the hospital. She will press the doctors for as much information as she can about Hera's condition. Looking up things she doesn't understand on her phone, which will be a lot. A anxious Kim needs info to keep her mind focused. Finally when Hera stirs she musters up a smile "No Jessica isn't here. You are at the hospital and you are going to be okay." she tries to reassure. Hopefully Hera is in a state to understand her. "Don't worry we are going to make sure they take good care of you." she doesn't stand as right now she'd probably fall down and then be another person that needs to checked out.

Grace doesn't seem to mind costs so much, but for now keeping an eye on Hera. Letting nurses check on her from where she is. Nodding to nurse obvious as well, "Thanks." A small smile before looking to Hera. "We're here. Hospital." Grace offers and does moving to be nearby if Hera needs it. Glancing to Kim as well. Making sure she is doing ok. Even if Grace herself is probably looking in a worse state. Though other than seemingly getting some sickness she does seem more or less okay. Migraine most likely. Hoping Hera can be coherent. "Just relax for now. We can tell Jessica what happened, if you want. So she knows where you are. But for now, relax." Herself sitting as well, but nearby. Offering a hand if possible.

A few more hospital staffers buzz in and out until one quack in charge comes in. Yup, the doctor may know what he's talking about, or think he knows what he's talking about. The NP offers a bit of a nod to Grace and gives the typical, "You're fine" speech and for that piece of medical advice, Grace may well get a $500 dollar bill in the mail. American healthcare standards, gotta love it.

The doctor then comes in to give a bit of an update on somethings. "Apparently you drank too much, and claiming you were drinking water?" He shakes his head and says, "You're going to have to stay for a bit so we can run some more tests. We also pulled up your EHR. I'd suggest getting an appointment with an obgyn because it's a bit unusual for a miscarriage to have taken place simply due to stress, assuming you ever want to have children again."

It looks like Hera is about to say something but he just continues, "And, diphenhydramine." He frowns and looks at all three of them and asks, wondering if the friends would have any input, "Why are you trying to kill yourself."

Hera frowns and gives the doctor a bit of a sneer as she replies, "I'm not."

Yeah, this is definitely going to make a lot of sense here.

Kim gives Grace the victory sign when she is looked at. Her eyes do show her worry and a touch spaced out. So much had to get done today and has just made her injury a little worse. Given a little bit of time she'll be better. "Are you okay though Grace? What happened?" she asks with concern in her tone. Hearing the doctor go on, alright she is going to do her corporate thing. Pushing herself up and keeping a hand on the chair to steady herself "Doctor ah...I'm just going with doctor for now. It is pretty well known that alcohol can cause judgement lapses and altered thoughts. Surely if this is what Hera is saying happened then it happened. Our friend is not trying to hurt herself in the least. I am sure you would have wanted to be sure before making that call. Did she report to you signs of depression? I would hope you have psychological exam done before asking such a question. And don't those that try to self harm admit to it?" doing her best to make it sound like she knows what she is talking about without really knowing. Corporate culture at it's best.

Knowing how happy she was last time they met Grace wouldn't think Hera was trying to off herself, and she also trust Hera to be honest. "Accident? Sleepwalking?" She suggests. Though then letting the others take over. Rubbing her hands worrying a bit. At least that is taking away her thoughts from other awkward things. She then look to Kim. "Not sure. I just wanted to help Hera, and suddenly something felt weird and..." Shaking her head, not sure how to explain it. "How is your head?" She ask Kim as well. Though then letting Kim talk to the doctor, while she focuses on Hera. Squeezing Hera's hand with her own.

Both ladies may notice that the way he phrased the 'miscarriage' comment was a bit off, though it may be hard to pinpoint what exactly the doctor means. "I don't know if your friend suffers from depression." The doctor says, "That's why another doctor will talk to her about any depressive symptoms." Yup, another doctor, there's tons of them around, one maybe not knowing more than the other, "Main thing, she needs to detox, then she'll need to figure out why she thought she could turn wine into water. Physically, she should be fine for now. Ladies, I have rounds." Seems as if he's ready to leave which may be a good thing.

"Can't believe my insurance pays for this crap." Hera grunts, but at least she's getting more of her personality back. When Grace reaches for her hand she smiles then she winces, "Ow, yeah, it hurt, it really hurt I, well, I don't remember everything but." She looks to her friends and says, "Both of you, are glowing but, he's...he's not. Can someone really explain what the hell is going on?"

Kim frowns at Grace's comments "Are you feeling okay now though? Look I'm just worried Grace-Ku...I'm just worried." no small slip there. Being so focused on concern for them both means she isn't self-monitoring as much. Kim wasn't aware Hera had a miscarriage and certainly not anytime recently given that Hera said about not being with someone for a long time. It didn't seem like something to bring up in Hera's current state, now with comment being off. Well that is for another time. She is ready for the doctor to leave them nodding slowly that she understood this advice. She will carefully walk over to Hera's bed side holding the side once there "We should wait a little bit until there are less ears. I promise I'll explain things the best I can. You remember me talking about stuff like that and how you reacted? I am glad you will be okay though." the staff is already questioning Hera's mental state.

Grace smiles softly to Hera, "Not really." Is said about explainer. Probably only knowing a little more than Hera. Sighing then. Nodding to Kim though. A soft smile. "I'm okay." She assures her. Not saying much on the miscarriage either, but she does offers a sympathetic smile to Hera through all the doctor talk. Taking a moment to let things calm down, "Faith is taking care of Hans, Queso, and Winston." She assures Hera as well. Having got an okay at some point. She does look a bit curious about Kim's slip of tongue, but not pressing it right now. Just staying close to them both. "Do you need anything?" She asks Hera, but does glance to Kim to include her in that question.

Hera winces a little and says, "I need my head to quit pounding and I need to talk to Devlin, let him know what is going on. I need to get my senses about me and pull myself together. I, well, look I normally don't do drugs but the best way I could explain what little I know is I sort of phased out, as if things were not real and, I still don't know if they are. You two are glowing, you've never glowed before." By now the doctor has left and the nurses have too, leaving the three to talk in private for, a few moments. "Thank you so much Grace, and thank you so much Kim. I also need, not to burden Jessica. Hell part of me is begging me to tell her that I love her, but it's too soon. She doesn't need to be burdened with my problems this, until I see an eye doctor, is one huge fucking problem." She looks over at the IV and just grunts, "I, have heard voices, strange voices. When my life got better, I didn't think I could be crazy. Do you believe me?" she sighs, "Am I crazy?"

Kim breathes a sigh of relief when Grace says she's okay. "No I'm alright for the moment. Just a lot of activity today and it's taking a toll." replying to the question. Putting her focus back on Hera still leaning on objects to help her balance "Hera I don't know too much. I'll share what I do know. That glow means we can do special things like psychic things are the best way to put it. You couldn't see it before because you couldn't then, just as I couldn't. I don't know what caused this, maybe we were born this way and it can just come out. There is a lot to cover and I don't know how much time we have. Most people you see wouldn't glow because they don't...have you ever watched Stranger Things? We're Eleven basically...I think. You aren't crazy and you aren't seeing thing. I believe you because I went through the same thing. The voice in your head was my fault I was trying to reassure you. Sorry." this isn't awkward at all. "On Jessica..." well it isn't her place to /out/ Jessica. "She'd want to know. And I seemed to recall she called you the woman she loved. So probably not too soon." but as it was done with her maybe something more real and visible. She tilts her head Grace "Can you try to catch me if I fall?" she asks before taking a hand off of the bed rail. Point her open hand to the door.

Grace smiles and nods to Hera, "Well, Kim started recently and you did now." She offers in a low voice. "People do that sometimes." Probably being aware since before coming to town. Shaking her head, "Not crazy, I don't think." Nodding to Kim as she is ready to catch her just in case. "Can't say that I've really learned to do much with it." Then again, probably not tried too much.

<FS3> Kim rolls Physical: Success (6 3 3 2) (Rolled by: Kim)

Hera takes a deep breath and nods, showing that she agreed with her friends. "I, just don't want to mess things up with Jessica. I, don't know where my phone is but, I guess the best thing to do is be honest with her. We discussed the importance of the truth, hell, I even discussed it with Harper. So, if I am batshit crazy, maybe she should know now so she could, get out of this mess if she wanted to." Inspiration and optimism, it doesn't show itself much in a situation like this, "She's the first woman I've ever fallen in love with, ever. I never thought I could feel this way about a woman to be honest until she came along. She does, have a right to know though, a right to know I'm well, just not me. I just." she sighs, "What I have with her seems too good to be true. I just don't want to loose that." Then, looking at the door she says, "Devlin, he would know the right thing to say and the right thing to do, He always does. He's been in his own war zone and, in a way, so have I." Though she hears Kim potentially falling and now she asks, "Are you ok?"

Kim pauses "I am sure Jessica will not think you are crazy at all. You should really, really talk to her though." Back to the demo Kim does have to focus a lot to use, well whatever this is. She has to take her other hand off of the bed with both of them open a cup on the table she makes it float. With gesture it starts to flip over in somersaults and slowly land back on the table. She didn't touch, she was no where near it and the glow around her gets brighter when she does use her ability. She has smile on her face as looks back to Hera "See you aren't crazy..." and with nothing to brace her and all of her effort put into using this thing. It's just too much for the poor injured woman dizzy head and she starts to go down.

<FS3> Grace rolls Composure: Good Success (7 7 6 3 1) (Rolled by: Grace)

Grace smiles to Hera, "You should." She agrees with Kim, about talking to Jessica. "And no, not crazy." Grace does move to catch Kim. Only about halfway through realizing what it means. So when the other collapses she watches her face. "Are you okay?" A small blush of her own present, looking away. Focusing on Hera instead. While arms still rest around Kim. "See, not cr. Crazy."

<FS3> Hera rolls Grit+Composure: Success (6 5 2 1) (Rolled by: Hera)

Hera looks like she's about to say something as she looks at the two, but she hesitates for now. Then if the two lovely ladies are not enough of a distraction, the object is. "Holy....crap." she says, "That was, you who did that? Really? I mean" She then narrows her eyes at Kim until her headache tells her otherwise, "Was it you who moved the wine glass the other day? It wasn't a ghost?"

Kim really didn't think her request through as she is held in place by Grace. Her cheeks reddening with Grace looking her while in her arms "I...I am just too...much." the room still spinning for her. Reaching out her hands to help keep her upright until the worst passes. A tad relieved when Grace looks away to Hera. She isn't moving yet, trying to regain her strength. "I'll be okay." turning her head to Hera "Yes I did that. I have practicing while I've had free time. Still not sure how..." oh yes that "I did try to tell you Hera. Only that time I didn't mean to move it. It just happened and I'm sorry about that. There was no ghost I just wanted a drink and it floated."

Grace does give Kim a reassuring squeeze. Though then trying not to be awkward. "Are. You okay?" Asked of Kim. Deep breaths. Raising a brow though about the floating wine. "Oh?" Seemingly not having been around to catch that. Then pondering on something, then trying to mend some of Kim's pain as she hold a hand at her head. Having a bit more control now. Not really doing much but hopefully Kim feel a little better. It probably just looks like Grace is hugging Kim. Then realizing she does try to help Kim stand up. "Sorry." Helping her to a seat if needed before trying to move to the side to hide a bit. "Feel better?" She ask Hera instead. "And I'm just glad that we got there in time." If Hera can, and allows it, Grace will give her a soft and gentle hug.

Hera finally manages to smile and shakes her head a little. "One thing you should never do Grace" she says, "Is apologize, especially for something like that." She accepts the hug and feels more content and secure with it. "You two are both very important to me and, apparently I needed to get here for help. I owe you both a lot. This is, a lot to process, very much. In a way it's one of the most overwhelming things I've ever experienced, hell, it may be the strangest thing I ever experienced but, I wonder." Her gaze is a bit distant as she says, "If I truly have, special gifts, maybe I can really help people with them?"

Kim eeps softly at the squeeze. Oh right she hasn't tried to stand. "Really Grace I am. The room isn't spinning as much getting a seat wouldn't be bad." the effort does take the edge of her pain. With the wrestlers help she is able to stand and accepts help to a seat. Yep good rest and just ignore her flushed face. "Thank you. I really shouldn't try to overdue it. Give me a few minutes and I should be fine. Baka head." She looks at Hera "I know it's a lot and there is more. There are dark things in the world too." she warns "I'm still processing everything myself. You mind if I send something to your phone when you find it. It's sort of like a user's guide to this whole new world. I believe that you can use these powers, gifts, curses, whatever. I plan to and to protect myself."

Grace smiles and nods. Not really saying much on the apology part though. "Of course. You're our friend." She assures her. "So no, you don't owe us." A nod about helping people. "Perhaps. I tried to, but don't think I did much other than make myself sick." Listening to Kim as well, nodding. "I've not really tried it much, or done a lot of research." Not really looking towards the techie. "And feel free to ask if you need anything. Want me to go find your phone?" She asks Hera.

Hera tries to sit up a bit and says, "Yes, I really should, leave a message for Jessica, I really should. I had a bit of a strange, dream" she says, "Or vision or, something. Stephanie and Devlin were there and Devlin wound up in the desert and Stephanie disappeared and. Then, I felt like I was in the desert and I was very thirsty, very very thirsty and a voice told me that, well, there's more than one voice. So many voices."

Kim ohs to Grace "I can send it to you as well. I've tried some research but other than this doc I haven't found anything yet. Maybe it could help you out. Want me to send it to you too?" awkwardness averted, as long as they aren't looking at each other, making off-handed remarks, or things like that. "You did try though and that is what counts." doing a very slow nod in agreement that Hera doesn't owe her anything. What Hera describes sounds familiar "That sounds like this thing 'The Dreaming' people can get pulled into it. I haven't myself and I don't know much about it. You are okay now though and that is what counts...somethings the way I understand it is that you can get hurt in the dream world."

Grace does look worried for Hera. "Perhaps we should try to figure out what it mean, and also how to get a hold of the voices." She suggests. Trying to figure out how to work this out. "Try to focus on one voice?" She suggests. Glancing to Kim then. Nodding, "Please do." She offers and smiles. Though then there is talk about the dream world and injuries. Frowning a bit. "Be careful, and train, just in case." She probably mean train abilities.

Hera winces a bit at the mention of getting hurt in the dream world. "I...I need to let Devlin know that, then, if it's really true. He could have gotten hurt, hurt very badly." She sighs and wonders if her phone was found. Fortunately, there's one of those hospital phones in case she would need to call someone. "This is, a bit too much to, fathom, let alone train for it." Her eyes look over to Grace and she asks, "How long have you know about this....glowing?"

Grace does try to find Hera's phone. Probably having been brought along. Handing it over after a moment. "Awhile. Didn't know that I was glowing as well though. Never really been able to do much. Here at Gray Harbor being the first time I've been able to do something." She explains. Glancing to Kim occasionally, but letting her rest for now.

Hera reaches forward for her phone and says, "Thank you" she then shoots off a text and pauses. "I thought you were just a wrestler and a hard worker and of course, a special friend who has great taste in dogs. I didn't know that you could do more than that. Can you, move objects and all like Kim can?"

Grace smiles, "I think I am mainly those things. And I don't know. I haven't tried. Maybe? I do seem to be able to mend wounds." She offers though. "And I do have great taste in dogs. Winston is awesome. So is Hans and Queso." Grinning at Hera. Letting Hera send off a message, probably seeing the text that Grace sent to her earlier as well. Not that Grace is currently aware of it though.

Hera chuckles as she finally does see the message. She doesn't chuckle for long though, as it likely hurts. "So, what is this about getting drunk? What were you doing before you, came in to save me?" Kim appears to be asleep on the visitor couch so maybe she won't hear? Maybe?

Grace hear Hera and her eyes widen. Blushing deep. A mental 'ssshhh' tried to be told to Hera with a gaze. Almost wishing she has shapeshifting so she can melt and hide. Hopefully Kim doesn't notice as she glance to the girl. Then leaning close to Hera. "Later?" She whispers. Nervous and hands do try to keep occupied.

Kim may have in fact dozed off for a few minutes. She snaps her eyes open and finishes sending off the texts with the doc attachment. She really didn't hear anything. Stifling a yawn "What did I miss?" as she sits back up slowly.

<FS3> Hera rolls Glimmer+Mental: Failure (3 3 2) (Rolled by: Hera)

Hera takes a very very very deep breath and says. "I, can hardly get out of bed, hardly but...if you humor me." It's then she tries to focus. In that moment she tries to reach out to touch Grace's mind. For the two here, they can probably easily sense what she's trying to do but, nothing happens. "I guess I'm not as talented as I thought I was, maybe I am crazy." With a frown she reaches for her cellphone again and groans, "Now, my head is really throbbing. Really really."

When Jessica enters, she sees Grace and Kim standing near Hera who, is laying in a typical hospital bed. There's an IV in her arm and a few concerned friends who continue to talk to her and give her comfort. In her hands is her cellphone and Hera winces here and there, as if she has a really really really serious headache. For now there's no nurses to pester anyone, which leaves the three able to have somewhat of a decent conversation.

"Nothing." Grace assures Kim right away. Doing her best to look normal, despite red cheeks. Sitting down and keeping her back to Kim for now. Leaning forward to Hera, "You need to rest first, then try it." She suggests. "I do stupid stuff when drunk." She offers in a whipser to Hera, trying to humor her perhaps. Sighing then.

Kim frowns at Hera "Repeat after me Hera. I am not crazy, the world could be crazy but I am not. It takes time and practice. Go on." she isn't about to let this be as hard for Hera as it was for her. Not that she is the expert or anything. She does lift a brow at the red cheeks at the nothing comment. She seems to accept it though "So sent to both of you. Let me know when get it and take your time."

As soon as Jessica received the text she was on her way. That old VW of hers had never moved so fast. Hera in hospital!! She tried to calm herself on the way. Hera texted, so she can't be doing that bad. But logic had no place when there was concern about her girlfriend.

Jessica rushes to the room, sliding to a stop at the door after being hissed at by a passing nurse. "Hera! Are you okay?" Straight to the bed, restraining herself from hugging in case Hera is injured. "Hey" she adds quickly to the others. Jessica's not trying to ignore them, she just has a focus right now.

Hera repeats Kim's words and says, "I'm not crazy I'm not crazy I'm not crazy." then she says it a few more times until she starts to believe it. When she hears Jessica's voice though she's immediately relieved but, she's now starting to see Jessica in a bit of a different way. It doesn't stop her from saying, "My muse my!" Then she winces a little, as if she's in shock, "How...how did you get so...so bright?" The reporter seems to have mastered her glimmer abilities more than anyone else in the room and it's truly a magnificent sight to behold. "I, think I am going nuts I mean, you were and still all, so beautiful but, now, everything is different, so different can you? I really need an explanation how, can you be more....I mean, you would put the brightness of the illuminate to shame."

Grace does nod agreeingly with Kim, and then Jessica comes in, "Hi." Moving back to let her greet and talk to Hera. Making Grace sit next to Kim. A small smile on her lips. A brief glance to Kim but then just looking at her phone at what she had gotten sent to her. "Ah, yes. Reading it now."

Kim takes a step back to give Hera and Jessica some room. "Hey Jessica. Hera is different now." she still isn't going to get in the way of Jessica sharing or not about that special glow. But that is just stating the obvious after Hera's comment. And now Grace and her are seating next to each other oh dear. Giving Grace a smile back and idling toying with the ends of her green hair "Alright great. It was big help to me, but you probably know way more than I do already."

"Glow?" Uh-oh. Jessica winces a little before looking to the other ladies. "Do I glow to anyone else?" Best determine who knows what before she tries to explain the unexplainable. Jessica smiles back down at Hera, taking her hands in hers. "You've always glowed to me" she winks. "But you're definitely not crazy" she adds with more solemnity.

Hera reaches out for Jessica, even if she's a bit stunned by her glowing, her hand shows that she clearly wants her girlfriend by her side. "I think we can all be honest here." she says, "At least until the nurse comes back in I uhm, have sort of been seeing and hearing strange things and, it was too much for me to handle. So, I, well, I really don't know how to explain it all but I think I might have had some sort of hallucination but, seems like I can, see things in a new way, a way that I didn't before and some people they look very different. The world is, very different it, it's a lot to fathom, too much to process and wow." She just can't get over how much Jessica glimmers, "My love, you are so very very bright. How, is this happening?"

Grace nods to Jessica, "Indeed." She assures her. Nodding to Kim as well, "I am sure it will help." Glancing and smiling to her. Noticing the toying of her own hair. Listening to Jessica and Hera, but letting them catch up and talk mainly.

Oh good something else to focus on for Kim to focus on. Still playing with her hair she answers Jessica "Yeah, but I said as much when I was really bad. I think I did, that time was hazy. Ah do I not glow to you? I mean you are way brighter than almost anyone I've meet. Just not sure what the polite thing is say about other's glow." she says and doesn't mean to intrude. She returns the smile of course to Grace "Are you sure you doing okay though? I...I want to...just say you say you are great. And thanks for catching me, I was pretty sure pushing myself would lead to that. Just sometimes it's easier to show than tell right?"

"Hopefully not too bright that you can't see my beautiful face" Jessica laughs before bringing Hera's hand to her lips to kiss. "Yes, you glow, Kim. Grace. Hera." A deep breath. "I should call Harper to come help me explain" she mumbles before ensuring the door to the room is closed. It gives her a chance to roam as she speaks.

"Let me start by saying I don't know everything. I think it would be impossible to know that. So, what I'm going to tell you is how I understand things based on what I have seen, heard, read, investigated, over a fifteen year period. Some of it could be wrong. This place...Gray Harbor...is special. Many of the people, but not all, will glow. Particularly when they use their 'powers'. It's going to be crazy at first..." A little snort of amusement. "It's going to be crazy all the time but you'll find that you can do 'things'. Maybe you can heal someone? Maybe you can know when people are lying? Maybe you become a super athlete? So many things, each person different, each person at different levels. It's something you will learn if you want or hide away if you prefer."

Jessica sits on the bed alongside Hera, taking her hand again, caressing the skin. "'Why would you want to hide such power?' you may ask. Because there are...beings...out there who feed on this glow. Who focus in on you every time you use one of your tricks. Who want to devour you."

Hera listens to Jessica, as if she could do anything but take her eyes off of her. "I certainly don't know everything either and, to say it's crazy that's an understatement. I sort of remember eating sand and then needing to drink tons of what I thought was water, was actually wine and, things went downhill from there. To be able to hide it away that, I could see how that could be good." Then at the mention of being devoured she trembles a bit, "I wasn't even thinking about THAT." she exclaims, "Why would they feed on a glow? And you, you glow so brightly. I'm supposed to be the only one who could devour you!"

Grace smiles and nods to Kim, "I am okay." Looking over to her, "Thanks. And I'm glad you're okay." Wait, did she do it on purpose? Grace's eyes do widen a bit before nodding. "Of course." Hint of red but for now focusing on the talk of powers as she look to Jess and Hera. Listening as Jess explain as much as she can. Frowning about devouring. That is until Hera speaks of devouring Jess. Making Grace choke and look amused, but also surprised. Glanncing to Kim. Then reading more on her phone.

"The way it was explained to me is that /They/ eat dark emotions. I was worried myself when I heard about that and thought it was literally being eaten alive by like a shark or a demogorgon." Kim adds to one of the scary parts of this new adventure. Other comments well it's so cute to see two people so into each other. Giving a playful bump of her shoulder against Grace's, just what normal friends do right? "I'm happy you are okay. I was worried but Hera was in so much so worse shape." Kim didn't do it on purpose, not she minded being in Grace's arms one bit. "I just know myself pretty well and even more that I will push myself too far to help a friend. So it's good to know someone can have my back when I do stupid things." she does wonder what the blush is about. The glance gets warm smile to Kim, oh right she's probably reading the text.

Jessica blushes brightly at the devouring comment. "Yes, Hera, only you. Whenever you like." She journeys to her Happy Place for a moment before remembering what she was doing. "It may only be dark emotions, Kim, but once they track you down after you use your powers too much, they will make sure every emotion you know from then on will be dark. They will manipulate the world around you to frighten you. To bring forth dark memories. To trap you in your own miseries." A playful frown at her girlfriend. "It sounds like we need to keep alcohol away from you." A curious glance at Kim and Grace. "Are you two together?"

Hera tries not to do too much of a doubletake as she hears these stories. "I think, Devlin might have mentioned something about dark men, but, I either thought he was crazy or I thought that I didn't hear him right. How, can we find these things and take them down? I mean, they are obviously a threat to us, obviously. Do they, serve some sort of master? I know what it's like to hide from those who use every bit of you, trust me, it's not fun and now that I have friends who care about me." She's bold, even if her head is throbbing but she looks at Jessica and says, "A new reason for living, nothing, is going to violate that. I won't let ANY of you be violated....ever. I'll put my life on the line for that in a heartbeat."

<FS3> Kim rolls Composure: Success (8 6 5 4 4 1 1) (Rolled by: Kim)

Jessica describing the Dark Men drains all the color from her face. Devlin, Leon, Mac, Maggi, and even the handy users guide on the world didn't make sound as bad as it is. "I...I didn't know. That is terrible and I guess...People didn't say it like that." she is truly afraid now, and she probably should be "But...if we don't use our powers how can we get better to help others or fight them?" her gaze just goes down as her hands tremble. To her what Jessica talked about is a fate worse than death. "No...we..." she tries to answer the question Jessica posed. It bring a new thought these things can do this to Mac! To Grace! Nope, just nope. Rising her head with a almost scary determination "What Hera said how do we scrub those fuckers from the world?" alright Hera didn't say that. She looks to Grace "I wouldn't let that happen to you." which is silly Grace is probably better equipped to take on the challenges than she is. Still the emotion is there. And when Kim puts her mind to something she wouldn't stop until she achieves it.

"The Dark Men is a common term for them" Jessica nods to Hera before a proud smile at the redhead's desire to do battle. "Plan before action, hon" she states calmly. "We're talking about things that can twist reality. Can take you into another...dimension...which they control. Not sure I've ever heard of one being killed. How can you die when you're not even alive? But, yes, we learn what we can to protect ourselves and take the fight to them." She leans down to kiss Hera tenderly on the forehead. "We both have something to live for...and die for."

Jessica does feel bad about frightening Kim like that. "Don't use your abilities all the time. If you want a glass of water, get up and get it rather than use your mind. Keep your powers only for emergencies or important events. If you don't shine a light, you can't be seen in the dark." Back to Hera. "Why don't you get some sleep now, Beautiful? Don't worry, I'll sit here with you. Grace, Kim, thanks for looking after her, but you should head on home. Get some rest yourselves."

Hera looks over at Kim and Grace, "I admit, you two do look good together." She she drops the topic to cuddle up with Jessica. "I'm glad you aren't turning around and leaving. I don't want you to leave me, ever. I just want to make you happy, I...well there's so much to talk about but, if you are tired, rest with me here? I would love to wake up in your arms. If I could do that, you would heal anything, glimmer or not." Yes, she still loves the praises she gives Jessica but it doesn't take long and the redhead dozes off into sleep.

Kim slowly nods her head to the comments about the Dark Men maybe not being able to be killed. She doesn't believe it though, everything can die. She just needs to find a way to hack reality. Shouldn't be too hard, yeah right. "Alright Jessica. I honestly thought about doing that sort of thing for practice. I'll try to save and somehow learn to do things better." at the thanks she shrugs "I am just happy she'll be okay. Really it isn't anything I wouldn't do normally do for a friend. She is in capable hands now and by that I mean yours. I really should get some rest." After all determination only takes you so far. She is still hurt. Kim does blush at Hera's comment "That...Hera you are in no shape to tease me." nevermind she offered to protect Grace just a few moments ago. She is feeling the wear of the day. "Can I take you home Grace?" she offers to the wrestler, though likely Grace will be driving. And the two will probably head off leaving Hera in Jessica's caring attention.
