It is a miserable early evening on Sunday. Minerva had ran to pick up some extra ingredients for dinner, but she had returned freezing and wanting to just go stand in the shower for days. She didn't like Winter really, but, it was ending soon! She's dressed in color for once. A deep crimson knee length day dress, black stockings and she's kicked her boots off near the door. She was barefoot most of the time in the apartment. Her hair is braided back and coiled at the back of her head for once. Her makeup as usual is impeccable. "El?" she calls after the gives Azrael a treat.

Elazar comes out of the bedroom barechested with a fluffy white towel around his hips and another one around his shoulder. A portion of the towel is lifted from his shoulder to tousle dry his dark hair as he goes "Yeah?" there is a humidity coming from the bedroom and bathroom implying while she was freezing her ass off he was standing in a steamy shower himself. "Did I let something burn in the oven?" he wonders as if he may have forgotten an instruction to tend to dinner after she had to leave for the ingredient.

Minerva does a double take when he comes out of the bedroom in a towel. The overly intelligent woman takes a moment for her brain to kick back on and she shakes her head, "No, nothing is burnt." she chuckles to him. "I'm going to finish dinner up. You don't have to rush getting dressed or anything like that." she gives him a red lipped smile. "You have anything going on this evening?" she asks him as she puts a few things in the fridge.

Elazar seems unaware of the distraction he caused and pads wet footed towards the kitchen to peek over the island where the stool are to the oven and then nod. "Good, I was worried you were baking something and I didn't hear. I didn't have any plans. I thought we were going to have dinner, stay in. I've found a contractor for the add-on we could talk about how disruptive it will be and any new news on the Murray House plans?"

Minerva goes about busying herself as to not stare at him, "I was just making sure plans hadn't changed. I didn't want to interrupt things if you'd needed to go out or something." she admits with a bit of a smile. "No new news on the Murray House, no. Just waiting for the day to get here really." she tells him. Then she looks to him, "Oh? Is it going to be disruptive?" she asks him with a bit of a smile.

"They'll be knocking out a wall and expanding onto the roof of the shop below. So another beam will need to be added. It'll be a little drafty so we'll have to wait until winter passes before we go knocking holes in the wall to the outside." Elazar admits with a smile at Minerva when she smiles at him, the towel being lowered from his damp hair. "Let me put on some clothes and we can talk, why are we waiting for a specific day again are you still working on that null ritual thing or is it something else?"

"That works for things." Minerva nods to that. She didn't seem bothered by them having to add on. Then she's looking him over again in his half draped state and there's a moment her hand rises, like she wants to reach out and touch him. But she stops herself. "Clothes might be good. Don't want you to catch a chill or anything." she tells him. "We are doing the burning on Saint Patrick's Day. Figured things will be hectic enough that day that no one is going to be around to be too nosy." she admits.

"I'll be right back." Elazar says as he turns to walk back into the bedroom, the door left open as the sound of drawers opening and rustle of clothing can be heard. Should someone want be the a looky-lou she sees a relatively fit man throwing on sweat pants, an under armour shirt and a big blue woolen sweater which hangs loose on his damp skin, hair tousled. He calls out while dressing, his attention on the clothes. "Do we have any friends in the police department in case someone gets pinched?"

"There's no rush." Minerva tells him as she watches him go. Then there's a moment she takes the chance and slips across the wooden floor boards to the bedroom door and leans against the frame while he is dressing. She manages not to trip over anything, but she is right there when he calls out. "We do have a few friends in the police department. I need to give them the heads up before a large group goes and commits arson." she muses to him.

Elazar finally looks to the door and spies Minerva there he doesn't seem to put two and two together and instead adjusts his sweater while padding barefoot back towards the kitchen, giving her a little 'move along' gesture as he catches up to her. "In your experience is there any point to buying a firearm or bringing a knife? I mean with something like the Murray House and Skeletor, it's all metaphyriscal right?"

Minerva gives him an innocent look, as much as you can look innocent with one eye and an impish grin. "Take all the fun out of my day." she mutters to him. Then she follows him back towards the kitchen, "I mean, if being armed makes you feel safer, I'd do that. But sometimes things don't work unless they are blessed or consecrated." she admits. "Not that it would be hard to do." she adds. "And Skeletor is going to be in the flesh, but you shouldn't be in danger." she tells him.

Elazar says, "Why wouldn't I be in danger, but you would be if I'm standing next to you?" Elazar wonders as they reach the kitchen and he briefly brushes his hand down Minerva's back, to the small of it and a nudge towards the oven. "What's for dinner again?""

Minerva gives him a look, "You won't be in danger because you aren't going to be inside the house." she tells him. Then she shivers as he brushes his hand down her back, "I was making baked chicken, rice casserole and veggies." she tells him. "Nothing super fancy. But pretty delicious." she smiles.

"Then it doesn't sound as if I'm going to be in the same spot as you." Elazar points out with a hint of sterness in his tone even as she outlines the homecooked meal she's making. "I thought I was going to be keeping an eye on you, did things change?"

Minerva gives a look to him, "Did we agree that you wee going to be with me in the house?" she asks him with a bit of a frown. "Elazar, if something goes wrong I don't want you to be hurt at all. And I have a feeling that you're going to be targeted given things." she frowns. She reaches out to touch his arm as she turns to him, "Can you promise me that if things get dangerous you will get out?" she asks him. "I'm tired of losing everyone." she tells him.

"I can promise you I won't be suicidal, but I definitely didn't agree to be the fiance that stood outside while the woman he's supposed to marry performs an occult rite, burns a house down and battles the demon that tormented her for her teenage years." Elazar points out as he leans his hips against the island in the kitchen, his elbow on the counter as well, watching Minerva with those dark eyes his expressive face reserved for the moment.

Minerva feels her chest tighten when he speaks and there's a moment that hand on his arm gives a gentle squeeze, "I don't take you for anyone that would be suicidal, El." she tells him. "And I mean...you've never had a woman burn a house when you were living together?" she tries to tease him. But it was hard to bring levity to the situation. "Can you stop being so...handsome? It's hard to keep myself on track." she admits as she blushes a little.

"So you'll keep an eye on me. It'll probably be good for Easton and Devlin to have another hand inside. But I'm going to warn right now that once he gets the memo that we're trying to end him he's going to try to take someone with him." she frowns.

"I understand that and I'll do everything I can to make it not you or me." Elazar explains and then at the risk of burning the casserole the man reaches out to her hand, pulling Minerva in those dark eyes of his searching her one eyed the expressive face showing a hint of levit in the face of this dark discussion. "Just tell me how to be ready and I'll keep distracting you in pleasant ways." quite the promise.

"We'll try to make sure no one gets hurt." Minerva tells him. Then there's a look to his hand as he reaches out to her. She doesn't try to stop him from pulling her end. She looks up to him and there's a blush still, "Oh you will?" she grins to that. "I'll make sure you know what to do for the burning. I know you're strong and can handle yourself, just...I worry." she shakes her head. She was certainly worried about losing him.

"Hopefully once we get things started it'll move fast. And then we can go get a drink and celebrate the holiday with the rest of the town." she tells him in a murmur as she looks up to him.

"No one is hopefully, I'll settle for you and me." Elazar says in a quieter voice once he's pulled Minerva in. "And I wholeheartedly approve with drinking to celebrate, is there a local spot you like or were you thinking of coming back here?" he wonders even as his hand slides down from the small of her back to the curve of her backside in the dress.

"I'd settle for none of us being hurt." Minerva tells him. She looks up to him and there's a soft smile, "There is Two If By Sea, but I would be just as happy with coming back here and drinking." she states as she feels his hand slide down her back. Her eyes lid a touch as she shivers, "Your hands are always so warm." she murmurs.

"You're always so prim. It's appreciated." Elazar admits as he leans in to kiss her without elaborating it Isn't a passionate kiss, nothing forceful but it is soft and new clearly someone getting a feel for another. Now his hand giving a squeeze, that is more familiar. The kiss doesn't last terribly long, parting with a mwah and then wonders, "I think in public is best... alibis if the cops come right?"

"Prim is never a word I attributed to myself." Minerva muses. But when he kisses her there's a little tingle between them. Nothing unpleasant. Her lips press to his, returning it with a slight eagerness. The kiss makes her melt into him. Her hands sliding to his chest to curl in the sweater a little. When he breaks it there's a smile, "Alibis might be good. Yes." she murmurs.

"I'm not always so prim. I just need to know what the boundaries are really. And if you want to be kissed." She teases him gently.

"I don't know where the boundaries are, we don't really know that much about each other. Seems odd to just kiss or anything without so much as a this is where I went to college and I like these hobbys or any of that, doesn't it?" Elazar wonders showing perhaps a hint that the normally reserved man is as out of his depth in an arranged marriage as Minerva, maybe he even watches her when she sleeps... That's romantic right?

"We have kind of skipped over actually talking and getting to know each other due to all of the stuff that's going on." Minerva states after he's finished talking. "And it was too busy in Tel Aviv to really talk." She nods.

"Tell me about yourself. Where did you go to College? What's your favorite color?" She asks him with a curious look and a genuine smile.

"I went to an architect college in Israel then in New York. My favorite color is blue, I like old movies and I enjoy classic music." Elazar adds some extra bits into that mix as he takes a step and Minerva finds herself up against the edge of the kitchen island with Elazar leaning his weight against her. "You?"

Minerva gives a wistful look as he answers his questions. His stepping and pressing her up against the island makes her take a breath. But she doesn't object.

"I had a lot of offers on colleges. But I went to college in Seattle first for my bachelor's and master's. Then finished my doctoral program a few years ago." She tells him. "My favorite color is black, followed closely by purple. I like rock music among other different genres. And I adore old black and white horror movies and mysteries." She smiles.

"Whats your favorite book?" She asks him.

"My favourite book is the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, it's what helped me come to term with the veil when I learned of it and my powers." Elazar explains looking perhaps a little surprised by the question, his hands now both on her hips the oven long since forgotten is something burning yet. "Yours?"

Minerva gives a smile to his answer, "Mine is the Lost Art of Enochian Magic by Doctor John De Salvo. I have a huge obsession with all things Enochian." she admits. "And when did you first learn that you had powers?" she asks him curiously as she enjoys their closeness for the moment.

"It was in town actually, someone showing off a handgun their family owned. Accidentally went off, America right? Shot clipped a girl and I was nearby and saw it. I kind of paniced, yes I paniced and healed her. From there I had to come to the terms with what happened." Elazar explains as he sniffs at the air and then murmurs to Minerva with a kiss at the tip of her nose, potentially a fake out if she expected another kiss to her lips. "I think something is burning, what's your favourite food?" as he asks he takes a step back so she can slip out from between the kitchen island and his own weight.

Minerva gives a look to him as he tells her the story and there's a blink, "The world is small and often funny on how things happen." she admits. "Panic is a normal thing when something like that happens." she adds. When he kisses the tip of her nose she smiles brightly for some odd reason, "The only thing that's burning is my blood." she mutters as she slides out from between the counter and his frame. Then she's heading over to the oven to take dinner out, "I am a fan of pasta. And bread. It's not good for me...but most things aren't." she chuckles.

"What about you?" she asks as she gets plates down from the cabinet.

"Sushi, a good sandwich, home baked breads with some oil." Elazar explains as he turns to lean back against the kitchen counter in the spot Minerva had been to watch her as she gets the dinner out of the oven. "Sesame seeds on breed is a bit win with me some olive oil and herbs to dip in. It's probably not really healthy, but the sushi is. Probably."

Minerva settles things onto plates and then turns to regard him as he speaks, "I've never really had sushi." she tells him. This might be a deal breaker for him. "But bread. Fresh out of the oven. Nothing beats that." she grins. Then she settles plates down on the island and gives a look to him, "What would you like to drink?" she asks him.

"Just water is fine, why haven't you had sushi scared of raw fish or is there not a good sushi place in town?" Elazar wonders as he slides onto one of the stools by the island and settles up in front of a plate she'd prepared for him. "and do you want me to try and cook for you and by that I mean do you want me to get take out a few nights a week?"

Minerva retrieves two bottles of water from the fridge and settles his down by his plate as she slides into a seat. "Just wasn't something we ever had when I was growing up and I really didn't get out much when I was doing college." she tells him. "There's not a good sushi place in town. Might have to put it on the list of things to try when away from home." she smiles. "And sure, if you want to pick up take out a few nights a week that's fine." she grins. "So how long have you been boxing?" she asks him.

"A few years now, it's a good workout better than just going to the gym and moving weights. There's something satisfying about punching a bag, working it over in the direction you want... That and it's a hell of a workout." Elazar explains and nods a few times at the takeout as he begins to cut into the casserole. "So when you're not working with clients or plotting the demise of the murray house, what do you do here in town?"

"Could you teach me?" Minerva asks him as she looks to him. "I don't really know anything about boxing or self defense in any regard that's not mystical." she muses. "Honestly? I've never done a lot that didn't involve being at home. I tend to be a recluse, but I like movies and going to find new books and things." she admits. "I just help my parents out and take care of graves otherwise." she tells him.

"Sure, I never thought you were very handsy." Elazar admits while taking abite of the casserole and adding, "I guess it's that gothic occult look you have going, very purposeful, bookish... Detatched, not the kind of woman who'd go bareknuckles on someone." he flashes an expressive grin at the thought of it before admitting, "Would you want to go out to a public gym or set up a bag and stuff in here?"

"When you can throw things with your mind and electrocute people you don't tend to need to learn how to hit. Just learn how to aim well." Minerva muses to that. "And I'm a bit of a hermit as most people I get close to don't want to stick around." she tells him. "Not something I've had time to get over." she shrugs. "And could do public. Kelly's is a good place for boxing. My friend Joey and his twin brother run it. Don't see why having a bag around here just in case would hurt either." she nods to this.

"Alright well winter is a good time, we can go out early mornings if you're up for it or right before lunch." Elazar offers while finishing off his plate of food and chugging a third of the water bottle. "But you'll have to show me some of that throwing things with your mind, I don't think I've ever seen you do that before. I can even show you what I can do. Tomorrow."

Minerva gives a look to him and there's a soft nod, "Sounds like we have a plan then." she tells him with a soft smile. "And yeah, I can show you sometime. You'll probably see it some soon anyways." she admits. "I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use powers a lot, They like to single out those who use them too much and torment them." she admits.

Then she's rising to collect plates and settle them in the sink, "But we can talk about all of that tomorrow." she tells him softly.
