Kaileyis out on the dock with a fishing pole, cooler, and folding chair. Her hair is down and pulled back by a black headband. A pair of sunglasses sit on her nose as she waits. Giving the pole and occasional wiggle.
Footsteps fall on wood planks and grow nearer. From his distance, it doesn't look like she's listening to anything, so he'll give her fair warning. "S'up?" Like a poet, sometimes. He comes to a stop within her arm's reach, his paws tucked into his front pockets. First glancing at sea, and then turning to address the hobbyist fisherwoman. Her ankle is given a gentle nudge before he stops over and blocks her view completely so he can face her and visa versa. Taking a big risk, straddling her legs, maybe.
Kailey's head falls back and over the edge of the chair. Looking upside down at the approaching Everett. Colorful hair cascading to touch the wood and sunglasses sliding up. "Hiiiii," she drawls out with a lazy smile. As he comes around her head lifts and follows the large man with her eyes. One brow quirks up as he straddles her legs, crossed out in front of her at the ankle casually. "You know...if I get a bite and you're in the way I will smack ya with my pole," She says it in teasing tones and the smile means she probably doesn't mean it. Probably...
"Why Miss Kailey," he starts, because the sexual innuendo was not lost on him, "I do believe you're hitting on me already." A soft smile hangs on the right side of his mouth, smirking even more so than usual at her. Then his gaze lifts and he looks around to check if the coast is clear while his hands pantomime the undoing of his pants and belt, "I'll hit you with mine first, so fair's fair, then."
Dropping his hands after the empty promise, Everett clasps those hands behind his back. Just in time to lose the smile. "So. I just came back from Lillian's. I think we have a few things to talk about. The three of us. So it doesn't have to be right now," he adds, holding his large hands out defensively.
See? Risk.
"By the way, you look absolutely ravishing."
Kailey's lips turn more into a playful smile. The foot that is crossed over lifts to draws up the inside of his leg. All the way to to mid-thigh. Then drops back to cross again. "I think my pole is larger, but yours is -muuuuuch- better," And then she giggles. But as his smile fades hers does too. To a look of vague concern. Then confusion. "Who's Lillian?" She asks with a little head tilt. Then a few seconds as he keeps speaking and she says one word, "Oh." And looks down at the fishing pole. Cheeks flushing red she shifts in the chair uncomfortably. She picks it up and bumps him gently to get him to move aside. Starting to give the line sharp jerks.
Then Everett says that and Kailey looks up at him with a raised brow. It isn't quite a 'look' but it is close. "Usually I'm the one wanting to change the subject," She says sarcastically. Legs uncross and tuck back beneath her as she sits forward slightly in the chair, elbows on knees, looking back to the water. "I thought she didn't want to meet me?" She then asks in a rather neutral tone.
Mid-thigh. That's enough to get Everett to cautionary lift on his toes to avoid anything, uh, precious to him from getting hurt, even though he grins and offers a soft, "woah," eyes widening with the humor plastered on his expression. When her foot lowers, so does he, rolling back down off the balls of his feet.
Her 'Oh' makes him nod softly and with the tap, Everett moves out of the way of her luring something in that isn't a philanderer or a flounder, watching what she does with her long, hard stick. "I wasn't trying to change the topic. Just filling you in on what I know, Kiki," he offers, then points at the pole, "Put that back?" he asks, looking back where she let it rest before the giant looks back to Kailey. "I got a letter. She's a lot of feelings going around, and I can understand that. So I told her a little about the timeline, how it all. Works out." Everett's silent for a second to sigh, heavily put upon. "Anyways, it changed. If you still want to talk to her, try to figure something out, I think she'll be agreeable. I don't know how people do these kinds of relationships, it's so difficult, but." Everett turns around, focusing his attention squarely on Kailey, "I can see how the benefits outweigh some of the headaches."
Kailey glances up at Everett at the request. There's a pause and then she slides the pole away. Then she folds her fingers over her belly and leans back again. Bracing the back of her head on the back of the chair. She listens with that carefully schooled expression. Not giving anything away except when he says it changed. Then she quirks a brow and tilts her head slightly. "I...do think that would be best. And it really is all about talking. Not keeping secrets. Or hiding feelings," She says, pausing as she considers, then shrugs one shoulder. "Sometimes it just is not compatible for whatever reason too and everyone has to be open to things needing to change. Boundaries are important...I'm not saying I've been successful at it. Or had much...practice. Mostly books," And she looks back down at her hands.
He nods in agreement with her, "You can't have communication without being honest. And my past might have been some shady as fuck shit, but I've been trying to be a better person. So. No secrets or hidden feelings." His brooding, flat lips upturn gently as he continues, "And in that vein,"
He moves back in front of her again. Fuck her fishing, and bends over, untucking his thumbs and putting his hands on the arms of her chair. Within a few inches of her, he steals a quick look at her lips before he murmurs, low and torrid, "I would just like to be forthcoming."
Standing up again, Everett turns around and bundles his long hair up with both hands while he looks over his right shoulder at her. Careful steps. Then a shoulder wide stance before he lowers down and grinds above her. The smile on his lips widen while he looks up at her and lets his hair fall in favor of holding the chair's arms for balance.
Kailey looks up when that shadow falls on her again in mild surprise. When he bends over and puts extra weigh, his weight, on the chair it shifts slightly. Causing her to start only for a second, grabbing at the chair herself. "Forthcoming hmmm? You've been doing plenty of that," She says with a poke at his chest and a roll of her eyes. At least there is a hint of sarcasm in her tone. Kailey crosses her arms when Everett does his grind and posing. She does not look impressed. "What -are- you doing?" She asks. Was that a smirk?

Uh oh, not the reaction he wanted. and he's the Ameture stripper winner too. Shifting his weight forward, Everett drops down, his thighs wide and he starts to roll his hips counter-clockwise, pushing his denim-covered ass up towards her for several rotations. Making sure his feet are wider than the chair, he falls forward, bending at the waist, pointing his moneymaker up. From one ball of his foot to the other, he wiggles what his momma gave him right at her.
A particularly unsexy stand and he turns around with a broad smile, but no blushing as yet. There's a glance down, to the chair and concern. Pursing his lips, he murmurs, "I don't think it'll support us both," followed by an irritating sound in the back of his throat. Instead, he grabs the armrests and leans forward, sliding towards her right, about to whisper a secret into her ear.
Taking a deep breath, he releases the armrest with his left hand, to use that hand to comb through her hair at the nape of her neck. Thick fingers curl and grasp before, with a firm turn of his wrist, Everett pulls pressure on her hair to pull her head back. The whisper to her ear proves to be a long, slow exhale are her forced bare neck, warming her with his breath. Lips pull back, head tilts down ever so slightly, and he bites her. Non-to-softly, but not yet hard enough to break the skin.
Kailey is in fact watching Everett. There's a vaguely amused smirk on her face as he wiggles about. But those arms remain crossed. "I know it won't," She tells him with a snort. "These things break if you sneeze in them wrong.," She says of the blue camp chair that supports her comfortably. As he comes in closer, closer, both brows rise. She doesn't move away. "What ar-EEP!" She was about to ask a question, sir! But pulling on her hair makes her eyes flutter slightly. The bite itself gets a much stronger reaction. A high-pitched whine in her throat, squirming, and her hands come up to his shoulders.
There is a gentle pushing on thos shoulders after a few seconds of heavy breathing on her end."Ev...Ev...hey, stop for a sec?" Kailey's voice is soft. Not upset, but certainly reluctant. Pulling away in the opposite direction, even if it does mean her hair gets pulled. "Down tiger," Is said gently, teasing.
There's a pulling, and combined with the ask for his attention, and for him to cease, Everett suckles. Suckles hard, before letting her go from his mouth. As uncomfortable as it may be, he stays leaning over, throwing his other arm over her shoulder as well before, together, his fingers open and tease into her hair. Tiger purrs with interest and steals a lick of the same vague spot he just nibbled, then blows gently on saliva left there.
"What's the matter?" he asks, with a whisper, nuzzling her with the bridge of his nose. A quick look is taken behind her as he's facing that way, and continues his soft murmur. "You don't want to get a little kinky in public?" The bridge of his nose swirls around, playing with the tender skin on her neck before he uses his lips to do the same and pulls back far enough to be able to look at her mouth, then up to her eyes.

Kailey's eyes continue to try and close with all the little things he does. Teasing her neck. Bad boy. She makes a soft groan and finally ducks her chin. It doesn't fully protect that spot, but makes it harder for him to tease her. "We were talking about serious things," She says with a sigh. "I don't mind kinky in public...but I always let you distract me when things like this come up. And-" She sighs and smiles sweet and sad. Those vibrantly green eyes finding his and she reaches up to cup his cheeks. Before kissing him softly. "This is something...I mean...I want to finish talking about it. What does Lillian want? What did she say?" A pause and Kailey drops her eyes to her hands again. She reaches down to tug at the sleeves of her shirt absently. "And I have something to show you that you keep distracting me from." That glittery pink cell phone of hers is pulled out and she begins swiping through opening it and finding...photos? A grid of black and white grainy pictures, too small to make out, pop up on the screen. This she passes to him with a little smile.
"I kinda said the highlights," Everett murmurs. "It seems like she's calmed down and she wants to talk now, after what Fiona, what I put her through." His brows wrinkled with worry, his eyes glancing to the side. With a faux pout, Everett looks down to her again, and slowly sinks down to his knees, trading back pain, for knee pain. Sliding his hands down while she cups his cheeks, Everett uses both hands to open her thighs, then lays his head down on her stomach, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Ok. Bean wants to talk. She wants to make sure that she's not a second fiddle to you. She doesn't like that you are living in the loft so you get my days and some of my nights." He pauses, trying to puzzle more together, "She doesn't want to see us TOGETHER so she said no living together; she's suggested paying for an apartment for you and she could get you a job at her place of employment. Um. She wants rules. I haven't told her about your condition. I didn't think that was any of my business to go on sharing. I think she wants equal time with me."
He lets out a sigh from her lap before looking up to take the phone from her but before he looks at it, he adds, "I've told her too that my responsibility is two our kids. I want to get along with the moms, and I'd like the moms to get along too, but that's not mandatory. I did this," he says, putting his empty hand on Kailey's stomach, "And I'm going to take full responsibility. To both of you. However, I can." His brows knot with worry, "I know it's not going to be easy, but I hope, together, we can give the best for these kids."
Done, Everett looks down at the phone he was given. At first, he's puzzled, but then he recognizes what it is. You can't see any kind of TV or movie without recognizing what it is. A slow smile spreads on his face. A swift lookup to Kailey to make sure, and then back down again, he looks at the blob of pixels. "Oh my god," he whispers, "Is that... ?"
Kailey sighs softly and lets one hand finger-comb back through his hair. Stroking it tenderly as he shifts again. Cheek to belly. She's smiling at least. "That's progress...though don't make me go into it blind okay? That's not fair to either of us...I don't...know anything about her..." For a second she trails off and it is filled with Everett's deep voice. And if he watches she makes a face when he mentions employment. There's guilt and embarassment written clearly in the deepening red of her cheeks. "I...uhhh...no. I can't work...I've tried on numerous occassions. Something...always happens. Most employers don't like it when you suddenly start cussing out the customer who won't stop flirting or whatever," She reaches up and tucks a strand of hair behind one ear. "I get disability and sell my art...I...like the sweet shop. The smell. It still needs work, but being able to go and take a walk down here whenever? That's better than any apartment...but if you want me to go somewhere else. I will," She says before outright sucking on her lower lip for a long pause.
"Rules are good. Boundaries are good. But...she's gonna see us together. It's a small town...and what about when the baby is born? Who gets the help at night? Ugh...yeah...this is so complicated," And Kailey looks away from it all. Just for a few seconds. Watching the pale spring sun dances on the gently lapping waters around the pierce. Eyes only a little distant. And then with a sniff she turns back to her phone.
Kailey humbs one of the thumbnails. The picture blows up and she shows him the ultrasound with a small person in profile and thumb tucked up against lips. Up in the corner little details read out: Women First Adoption Clinic, K. Holt, 18w5d and some doctors name. Small text under the pictures read, 'Sucking thumb'. The phone is held for him to see where he rests his head. "See? I haven't...even really looked at all of them. Didn't wanna if you didn't want...this. Anyway..." And now she is biting her lower lip, a faint blush touching her cheeks, as she keeps stroking that silky black hair. "Yeah...that's ours...This was a few weeks ago now." Well duh, of course it was girl.

He nods, looking up from the phone, "Ok. Not blind. What do you want to know?" That asked, he looks back down. When she mentions her reluctance to work, Everett looks back up again and nods, "Yes. Well, remember that she doesn't know the why of what's the matter in your case. So. No, I can imagine that it would be difficult for you to hold down work. Having seen what little I just saw. Don't worry, you won't have to," he adds, a small smile spreads to his lips. "You'll be a super famous and rich artist in no time. Which," he taps his temple with her phone, "reminds me. We have someone to see about your paintings. I have a contact in the city."
The phone comes back down again, for his eyes, his thumb wiggling the display to keep it from falling asleep. He smiles up at her again, "I like the Retreat too. I'm not crazy about the smell, though. And it does need work. A woman's touch, if you don't mind me being sexist. I like what you've done with it so far." He touches his chest with his free hand, his brows lifted, "Make no mistake, Kiki. I don't want you to leave. I like you there. I'm just passing on what she's asking about, that's all. I very much like waking up to finding you there with me. In my arms, warming my bed. And that sexy body all pressed up against me, the way you smack your lips in your sleep, and wiggle. I very well might take advantage of you one of these mornings before you're even awake."
"So, no. I don't want you to move. She does, keep that clear, huh?" he asks and looks back at the pixels once more before looking up again and nodding, "Complicated. I don't know what a solution is. And I'm hoping the three of us will think of something. Something we can all agree with." When she reaches over for her phone, he offers it up without hesitation. And when the thumbnail blown up, he looks again, his face showing every detail of his large heartbreaking. "Ooh, god." Sliding back, Everett rests on his heels and studiously studies the picture, holding out his hand to take the phone again, "I'm going to be a Dad," he whispers.
"I'm going to be a Dad," he adds, louder.
"I'M GOING TO BE A DAD!" is then shouted, drawing attention. And fish? The pole bends and wiggles beside him with his caterwauling
The phone is returned, and Everett cups her cheeks in his palms and pecks Kailey hard, "Oh god, I'm so happy, if you weren't already, I'd fuck another baby in you." He collects her right hand, "Let's go home." A soft tug, "There's not nearly enough room here to cuddle. And stuff."
<FS3> Kailey rolls Outdoorsmanship: Good Success (8 7 7 1) (Rolled by: Kailey)
"A contact?" Kailey's brows raise and her smile grows more. "I...don't know if I'm the super famous type, but sure," She says and reaches out to gently stroke his nose. Watching his face change as he looks at the ultrasound picture. "There's more you can swipe through," She tells him warmly. "It so needs a touch. Any touch. Hehehe. I'm happy to do what I can. When we get a couple days predicted sun I want to do a piece fo the wall," She has plans! PLANS!
"Mmm...I like waking up like that too. S'why I can't begrudge her wanting it too," Kailey says gently, the smile not fading. In fact it grows playful when he mentions taking advantage and there is a giggle that rises. "I look forward to it." And he gets a quick peck of a kiss. More picture and she lets him hold onto the phone and stare at the picture. Her eyes go to the pole though when it bends. "Oh...uh...mmph," Kailey returns th kiss even as her hand wraps around the pole. The fishing pole. That is bending as something wiggles on the line. "Mmmm...I'm glad you're happy. Let me catch this fish and we can go. But you gotta haul the cooler," She tellls him with a flash of teeth and cheeky smile.
Then she turns back to what she was originally out here for. The girl knows what to do, that is clear. She gets up off her feet and snatches the long net from beside her. Moving to the edge of the pier. Tugging and gently reeling. Waiting a few seconds. All told it'll take her five minutes to pull the salmon in. But once that is done? She turns with a big grin and shows it off, hands cupped into the gills, to Everett. "I got dinner. We're gonna be working up an appetite, after all," And now it is her turn to eyebrow wiggle. Back to the cooler she comes with her wiggling catch. It's a good 2 feet long and at least 10lbs. Kailey is quick, efficient, and pulls a gutting knife and board from the side of the cooler. These she uses to quickly and mercifully end the salmon's life. Before it and the head get dropped into the cooler.
Standing up she pulls out a hankerchief from her back pocket, still grinning a fool, and wipes blood and fish good from her hands. "Let's go!"
More?
Everett stands up when she mentions there are more, and continues to look through the pictures slowly, "Yeah. Touch. It looked like a mancave/psycho-killer. I'm glad I never brought you there," he says to her phone. "Oh my god. Look," he shows her the phone, "yawning. My baby is yawning," says the proud father while she's busy with her big, fishy pole.
While she gets the salmon out into the air, Everett keeps looking through the pictures on the phone, distracted and smiling a goofy grin right up until she's cleaning her hands. "Huh? Oh. Uh. Right." He offers her back her phone, "Send me those?" he asks. And once she takes the phone, he picks up the cooler, and anything else he can, because if there's anything he's good for, it's being a pack mule, leaving a peck on her cheek. "Look at you, mother, provider. Hot piece of ass. Is there anything you can't do?"
Everett smiles a proud smile.
@emit "Keep my head on straight?" Is Kailey's reply with a laugh. The camp chair is folded up and tucked under one of his arms. Though she keeps a hold of the pole. Sidling up to his side as they walk back, she begins to process of sending him all the pictures. "I do love that it's a short walk back. I love fishing. Did you know I used to go hunting with my last foster parents? I wasn't as good at that," Those fine shoulders shrug and she continues to chatter about fishing and camping as they head back to Sweet Retreats. Where there will be fish tasting.
