(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : Doing a wellness check. How are you, dear?
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : I'm doing alright.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : How about you?
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : He tried to push me away. I didn't let him. We nearly came to blows.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : Oh and I fought the Headless Horseman and got my first scar.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : That sounds like a way more badass scar than the one I got from weird dreams.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : Though it is kinda cool.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : We can compare sometime.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : I say 'fought.' It involved lots of running away with a newcomer until we managed to re-bury his skull.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : Think that's what I hate most about the dreams.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : That they expect you to just play along and hold you hostage until you comply.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : Yes. I'm starting to learn the only way out of Dreams is through. For the most part.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : If you see a Danish fellow named Ravn, say hello by the way. He seems a decent sort, if in a bit over his head. He's an historian. Might make a worthy addition to your research crew. And he could use some more people to help him find his feet.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : I'll keep that in mind. Just seems like a shit time for all of that right now.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : I'm guessing since Cris tried to push me away, that he did the same to you?
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : (...)
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : I'm ignoring the implication that I let him, Dante.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : I want to keep liking you.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : There was no implication!
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : I said that I assume he tried it with you because he tried it with me.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : He succeeded here.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : He can be an idiot.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : Not the word I'd use.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : I just wanted to see if you were all right.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : In what sense?
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : I'm alive, healthy, got a new job, getting by.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : But I'm angry.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : I can understand that.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : If I ask how he is, are you going to tell him I asked?
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : No.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : Then how is he?
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : He got shot. He's recovering. Mentally? He's a mess. He's scared.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : And he's trying to cope in stupid ways.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : And that makes everything okay?
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : It's okay to hurt people if you're hurting?
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : Sorry.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : This isn't your fight.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : I'm glad you managed better than I did.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : And I will gladly punch that pretty face of his if he hurts you.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : I'm not making excuses for him, Sparrow. Believe me, I'm plenty angry at him myself.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : If you'd rather not hear from me right now, if it's still too raw, I understand.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : It's alright.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : I feel a little better knowing you're still in his orbit.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : I love that stupid idiot. I can't go anywhere. I'm trapped in his orbit for good or for ill.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : Yeah well.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : He did a pretty good job finding the right buttons to bang to knock me off course.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : He is very good at that.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : It's a stupid skill.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : He's TOO good at it and goes for that defense when he's feeling vulnerable or trying to protect someone.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : Which is an explanation, not an excuse.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : Thing is.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : I knew that.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : He tried it with me out the gates.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : But he didn't know me as well then.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : Didn't hit the mark.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : Anyway.
(TXT to Dante) Sparrow : Glad you're alright.
(TXT to Sparrow) Dante : Likewise. Anger aside.
