Text

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : I need to talk to you. Someone tried to run Isi Cameron off the road the other day. I need to know whether I should tell her to get the fuck out of Dodge, or ask your cousin for protection.

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : I'm not sure I would ask my cousin for anything. If it goes that route, I would take it to Joey directly. The less my cousin is involved the better.

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : What happened?

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : Well, considering your position I figure you'd have heard if your cousin wanted her dead. So I am assuming it's people from out of town. Long story short, she suspects she's found evidence of corruption at City Hall. Co-worker got odd, tried to cover shit up. Next up, someone's ramming her car and leaving her for dead in a ditch. Clayton found her, and she has filed a report. But we all know filing reports won't stop them from making a second attempt if they think shutting her up in time will stop an investigation. (They also clearly don't know de la Vega very well, which also points to out of town folks).

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : I haven't heard of anything, but I have also been out of town. I don't think it has anything to do with anyone on 'my' side of things, but sometimes I am the last to know things. Doesn't seem like my cousin's deal though. Sloppy. I can ask around though if you want?

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : Please. Your guys don't want outside interference, and neither does anyone else. Let's find out who this is and gift wrap them for de la Vega if possible.

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : (Also, this fucked-up town where you have a conversation like this, and on your cell phone... Remind me to do a factory reset later.)

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : Well, if it is a tangent of Reyes' guys...let's just say that there was a reason I was out of town... And Javier happened to show up as well, so we will get to the bottom of it.

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : Bloody well figures. I'd hoped we'd heard the last of that lot but violent murder does seem to be their thing. I'm guessing it's an intimidation tactic? Probably works better in a town that doesn't try to kill you every other day anyway.

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : Technically it was a follow up to that ship that burned down. The Mrs. and I went and invited a guest to come and have a sit down at the Gym. I'm sure he will end up enjoying his stay.

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : I don't want to know the details but I want to know the details. At least the details that might in any way end up affecting anyone else. You know me, connecting people is what I do. And frankly, keeping outside gangs outside is something I'm on board with, we got enough of our own trouble.

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : I've said all I can really say, at least over this form of communication. I am sure you have the right picture in your head, though.

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : Yeah. Come over for a beer sometime, or I can come over to your place. I'll tell Cameron that as far as we know, whoever's got her ticket is from out of town.

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : I'm pretty sure that is a safe bet to say. If I hear otherwise, well... It won't be sloppy.

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : That's one reason I assumed it wasn't your team. Your guys don't do things this... obvious way, get the police involved, draw attention. Easier to just have her discredited and fired, she'll travel on, no one needs to think about it again.

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : You do know, of course, that if it is my team I would be telling you it wasn't or that I didn't know anyway, right?

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : I'm not an idiot. If I thought this was your team I wouldn't ask you in the first place. But I don't, and as you surely realise by now I'm by no means above working with the local hoods to keep this town on course to wherever it's going. I took bullets enough from Reyes' guys to want them to stay away.

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : Heh, Just making sure we are on the same page.

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : Yeah, yeah. You're prettier than the last mob guy I worked for, at least. Granted, it was a long time ago.

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : :preens?

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : Tell me about your visitor later. More specifically, tell me anything that might lead to me having to pay a lawyer to get more passport-deprived women out of town, okay?

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : Sure. I'll give you the dets if you really want them. Ask the Mrs. about her ring sometime.

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : I want what I need to know to do my self-appointed job. The rest I kind of don't want because what I don't know, I can't be made to testify about. You finally got around to putting a ring on her, eh?

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : Heh...in a way

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : In a way. What did you do, get her a plastic decoder ring?

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : No, no...nothing like that. Real ring. Just not a real engagement/marraige. At least I don't think? Lol.

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : Aw. You do make a cute couple. Not that I'm one to talk, I was engaged once and I will probably need a gun to the back of my head to do it over.

(TXT to Ravn) Seth : I don't know... Knowing Vic and I, we may just end up some time doing Vegas or the courthouse or something. I don't get the impression she would make a big deal out of it all. Hell, I think if we had ended up married after missing 12 weeks she may have been disappointed that we missed it, but not because of some big fancy thing.

(TXT to Seth) Ravn : Nah, you're right, she doesn't give the big bash vibes. Got too many people who might recognise her face, too much baggage.
