Met him at Karaoke Night at the Poorhouse. He's also from the south. Has a nice, smooth southern drawl. He seems really friendly and I expect to see him rather often at the laundromat.
Nice guy. First person I met here in Gray Harbor. He's a locksmith and changed the locks for me at Suds' N 'Duds. Ran into him again at Karaoke Night at The Poorhouse. He makes a damn good Margurita! His wife owns The Poorhouse.
She's Leon's wife and the owner of The Poorhouse. I made a complete ass of myself when I met her because I misunderstood something she said, but she took it in good stride. She's short like me and seems like a nice lady.
Everything happens for a reason, doesn't it? Quite bluntly put, I'd have never come to Gray Harbor at all. Hell, I'd never even heard of it before. I was raised in a little bayou town just south of New Orleans. Very middle class, very southern. I even did pretty well in school. So well, in fact, that I was offered a scholarship to attend LSU. Unfortunately, I instead decided to follow my loser ex-boyfriend up to New Orleans. That lasted six months before we busted up. Rather than admit I was a failure to my told you so parents, I stayed there and worked as a waitress, a model and a dancer at a burlesque joint on Bourbon Street. Life wasn't awesome, but I was doing alright for myself. I wasn't starving, at least. Then I met Loser #2. He convinced me to follow him to Seattle. Who am I kidding? It didn't take much convincing. He was a loser but he did look like Chris Hemsworth in tight leather rocker pants. That one lasted a year before I caught him with a groupie. So yeah. Was on my own again, this time in Seattle.
Then one day, there I was. I was working at a diner in Seattle. A lawyer came in and informed me that a regular customer of mine had passed away. In his will, he had left a laundromat business to me. An actual business. A LAUNDROMAT. Like, left it to my skinny butt as and inheritance! Who does that? The catch was, it was in some town called Gray Harbor. Gray What? Ok... So I thought a bit about it and agreed to keep it. I signed all the papers to legally become the owner and packed my stuff up to move to Gray Harbor.
I have no clue how to run a business. I mean, I guess I should be happy it is just a coin operated laundromat, though, right? I mean, I would really have to suck to screw that up, right? I just need to hire a couple of kids and make sure everything runs correctly, right? So I decided to do it. I could have sold it and took the money, but I admit to being curious. Rather excited, too. I own a business now! Yeah, well. I soon discovered that it was not benevolence that led to the guy leaving me this place. This place is weird AF! I am not joking. I haven't been here long, but from the moment I set foot in this place, weird stuff keeps happening. Weird vibes galore. Specifically, weird vibes from people. I don't know how else to explain it. I am convinced Dude must have disliked me. Maybe I served his eggs cold one morning. IDK. That must be why he left it to me. I half decided to just drop it. Sell out and flee, but....GREED. When in this life ever again is a business going to just fall into my lap again? Yeah...
Oh. Another problem? I think I may have unintentionally signed up for some shady dealings when I signed my name to the deed. I am not 100% certain yet. It's just a weird feeling I get from the couple of thuggy looking guys that keep coming in and, well, smirking at me. Like they know something I don't....yet.
So here I am. For better or worse. Going to do this Washer Wench thing. Still going to try and model some, too. Need to have a back up if I mess this up!
This petite young woman stands at 5'3 and possesses a fair complexion and slim figure. Long, wavy tresses of bright cherry red frame a heart shaped face while raining loose down to her waist, the ends of the tendrils curling like corkscrews. Long, dark auburn lashes frame her warm brown eyes. Her nose is straight, her cheeks rosy hued. She wears a lovely shade of deep red lipstick upon her full, plump lips . The corners of those lips are usually upturned in a little bow of a smile, but there are times when a slight, knowing smirk appears, or a devious little expression of scheming. Also just as often, one might catch the glimpse of a very sulky little pout of discontent.
She is currently dressed for a night out at the club. She wears a short, velvet dress in a deep shade of burgundy. The bodice of the dress is tight, with a v-shaped neck that plunges to offer a rather tantalizing view of her cleavage. The skirt covers and kisses over the tops of her thighs in a subtle bell shape, falling just an inch or two above her knees. Covering her feet are a pair of burgundy velvet heels.
