New friend? Almost player Smash Brothers together. Possible Ally in the battle against Abitha.
Definitely a bard if he joins the party.

Mac, his boss. Terrorizes him, uses him as a metaphorical punching bag, but is fiercely protective of that status.
Currently his main boss battle. Potential to come back later as a party member... Maybe?
Kyle Warren is a small town boy that's grown up inoculated to the town's weirdness. He's always had Glimmer, since birth, so he doesn't know what life is like to "normal" people. It's just baked into him. He's hardly left town, so he has no basis for comparison. Sure, he knows that everything he does comes with consequences - the monsters attack when he uses his gifts too much, they make him nervous and sketchy, paranoid and defensive - so all things in moderation, right? Not that he has an addictive personality, ahem.
A tough, tradesman dad, and a gruff but loving stay-at-home mom resulted in a time-honored tradition of a rather reticent boy. Gaming and media had been a good escape, a way to aspire to a greatness he wasn't sure he felt here. The heroes of anime always seemed to start out as normal, not so smart guys, and that's what he thought of himself. High school had likely been a little rough for him, but he'd muddled through to college. Attending Bayside Community College, he studies Computer Science, with an aspiration some day of... Well he doesn't really know. He knows he likes computers and video games, but maybe if he just kept taking classes it would work itself out? That's what he was hoping anyways.
Working at the local game store had been an almost no-brainer, and the shop owner had hired him on with just a few offbeat questions asked, though she'd proceeded to make it clear he was the retail wageslave, and the clear bottom rung. It was actually a good, wage, though, and she let him study during quiet times, so he couldn't really complain. Until the shop burned down. It took a couple months, but the owner rebuilt, informed him he was to show up to work again and that's where he's still been.
Generally understated, Kyle seems the type you'd forget you saw sitting in a coffee shop. Short, messy brown hair, with an icy set of eyes behind horn rimmed glasses, he looks a bit bookish. He's wiry, and his clothes are college convenience, simple shirts, jeans, sneakers.
